Ive worked with many dealerships while looking for the best deal and value for my family and myself. This is the first negative review Im giving for a dealership. I look for honesty and quality service. Kia posts vehicles on auto trader (as many others do) then upon referencing the stock # for the advertised vehicle, refuses to honor their advertised price. This is the first time Ive run into this. Beware and stay away!! I don’t think the people who are giving good reviews have done diligent research or just believe the dealerships reasoning. But this is not the norm and not okay.
DONT GET THE CILAJET!!! Salesman added the extended warrantee and Cilajet finish to the contract without consulting me. I caught it just before signing. Salesmans response was these are things we highly encourage our customers to have. There was no encouraging, just an attempt to slip it by me. I told him to take them off. He insisted the Cilajet finish was a great deal. Said it covered a host of issues with paint, such as damage from bird droppings, water spots, rust, AND MINOR CHIPPING!!!!! It does not cover minor chipping, even if its the size of a pencil eraser. He even used the scenario of driving down the highway and a rock or pebble hits my car and chips the paint. You call Cilajet and they fix it no questions asked, just like that. Turns out thats not how it works, and he convinced me to spend $2,000 on this.

I leased a Kia about 3 years ago from the Kia in Sherman oaks. Loved the car but it was finally time to turn it in. Low and behold there is no Kia dealer ship in the Valley anymore. Galpin KIA closed faster then it opened. Out of my three choices Glendale, Santa Clarita, and Simi Valley. I’m so glad I choose Simi Valley to turn in my car. They made it painless and I was out the parking lot in no time.

I went in there today hoping to buy a car for my children. The experience I had was more then welcoming and honest. It did not take very long and I got the car I needed and more!! Eddy who works there is very professional and Courteous, he stayed with me and explained everything to me as it was taking place, he introduced me to people in the parts department so when I go there for check ups, I would see a familiar face. Eddie went above and beyond to help me and I’m just so happy i had such a wonderful experience. If you go there ask for Eddie for sure!!!! Thank you!!!
Salesman (Justin) was very courteous and helped in any way he could. And this dealership was the only one to have the vehicle we were looking for. However, the dealership did charge us $2500 extra due to the fact that the vehicle we wanted (2021 Sorento Hybrid) is hard to get. That really almost made us turn around and leave. But they had the exact model and color we were looking for and could not find anywhere else.
My Wife and I were looking for a Telluride S and found that they had one in the color we were looking for. We called and scheduled a time to come look at it. We test drove the suv and were out of the dealership with our new suv in like 2-3 hours. The whole process was fairly painless and I was a hero for buying the wife a brand new car. Its the 1st new car shes ever owned!!! She absolutely loves the Telluride!!!
Customer service is absolutely terrible. I live right down the street, but I now go all the way to Oxnard for service. Never treated so poorly. HR dept needed. I left upset and called 1st Kia to complain. I was furious and trying to find words to express myself. It was dead quiet on the other end of the phone and so I asked “are you still there?” The guy had the audacity to say, “I’m waiting for you to stop stuttering...”. He then hung up on me after an exchange of words. Won’t ever recommend

What a complete waste of time. Came in with my daughter and husband to look at a Niro. All they wanted to do was get me in a chair to talk money. They would not meet the trade-in price we were offered from CarMax. We really wanted to buy a new car here, but there was no discussion or movement on her trade-in. I have bought many cars in my lifetime and this experience was so bad. I know the car business is hopping, but the car we wanted was a 2020 that the salesman said they needed to move out. Some amount of negotiation should have taken place. But, no. We left and went back to CarMax and got her an excellent deal on a gently used car. Never again and no need to contact me. Our deal is done. I will not recommend this dealership to anyone, not because they didnt even work with us, but because all they wanted from the get-go was to talk money. Didnt just let us wander around and discuss as a family. Yuck.

Towed disabled Kia from Woodland Hills to Simi Valley. Tried to drop off car but dealership and sales entryway locked and chained up before 8 PM. Impossible to drop off a disabled car. Had to tow back home to Northridge. Not very customer friendly. Forced to try again another day. First Kia of Simi Valley must devise a better way to accept cars for servicing after hours. Once the car was accepted during regular business hours, the service was excellent. Your after hours drop off needs a Customer friendly solution.
Its a large dealership with plenty of cars to choose from. The sales person helping us kept repeating are you going to buy today. I didnt think he was very knowledgeable and he seemed to be in a hurry. I didnt like the experience.

I would give zero stars. We wanted to test drive and the sales people made us to wait and asked us come after some time, which we did. After we came back we had to wait for some more time and after that, they told us we cant have the test ride unless we are going to buy the vehicle that day. They said that they have lot of customers and they do not have time for us who are potential buyers. They were arrogant and really dont need potential buyers. Unless you are really desperate for a Kia, I would not recommend this dealer or find another dealer or better, try subaru, Volkswagen, Toyota or Honda or Hyundai.

*DO NOT GET YOUR CAR SERVICED HERE AND IF YOU CAN HELP IT, DO NOT BUY A KIA*If I could give negative stars I would.TL;DR: My mom serviced her car here, received it with missing paint. Doug and his manager, Guy gave us awful customer service. Still not resolved and we are frustrated.I took my mom to get her 2013 Kia Sorento (~64,000 miles) serviced in the afternoon of Feb 21. Her car was to have an oil change, brakes replaced and tire rotation. Doug Mcintosh was our service attendant and seemed nice enough. His pre-inspection check consisted of him walking around the car. He didnt point out anything out of the ordinary. He said to be back in a few hours and we did. We went to watch a movie to escape the rain while we waited. It wasnt until the next day that we noticed that the A pillar of the windshield was completely missing about a foot long piece of paint. I immediately called Doug and he said he had noted the missing paint during pre-inspection and that he would send me a copy of that paperwork. He never did. My mom spoke to the service manager, Guy. Over the phone, Guy claimed that the car was like that before the service and had pictures to prove it.Meanwhile, I called Doug and he claimed that peeling paint is COMMON on Kias and that he didnt know how the paint just went missing. He literally told me that maybe someone spilled acid on my moms car! What?!!! Lol! I asked him if they used a pressure hose on the vehicle to wash it. If they used too much pressure then its a plausible reason for the missing paint. He said the car wasnt washed and that he didnt authorize any wash. I know for a fact that the car was washed because it had been raining that day and the streaks from the windshield wipers were gone. It was at this point that said he was new to the business and if the car was washed, he didnt know what kind of hose they had in the back. Finally, he said he didnt want to get in the middle of everything and that my mom was already talking with Guy and that it was out of his hands.So back to Guy... when my mom went to meet him, he apparently didnt have any pictures after all. He couldnt supply us with ANY proof that the car was already missing this paint before the service. He said that he had left a voice message to a male (me) on Tuesday, Feb 19 to tell me about the missing paint. I never spoke to Guy. I never received a message from Guy. Since, of course, the car was serviced on THURSDAY, Feb 21 and at that time Kia didnt have my phone number! Oh, did I also mention I was out of the state on Tuesday?!! For completeness, I did give Doug my phone number for that service paperwork he never gave me.At this point my mom was frustrated and left. I called Guy myself on Friday, Feb 22, asking him to call me to talk about all this. No response, so I left him a message. I called again on Saturday, Feb 23. No response again and another message.It is clear that the service department at Kia does not want to claim responsibility, but whats even worse is their customer service. As I reflect on our experience here, I have had other vehicles serviced at Toyota and Chrysler dealerships and during pre-inspection Im always told of the damage thats on my car prior to service. Furthermore, I expected at least a phone call from their service manager to least discuss the situation. Every contact weve had with this dealership about this issue has been awful. If Doug and Guy are representative of the entire staff at this Kia then I can only conclude that this Kia dealership is inept, doesnt care about their customers, and flat out likes to cover up their mistakes. My mom has had a Kia for the better part of 12 years, after this experience I am doubtful her next car will be a Kia.

I went to this place early morningon Jan 3, 2021 with my husband to purchace a Kia and this guy who works there looked at me bad and he judge me the way I looked that morning, my apperince to be exact. So I ask him Im looking for a new car and he kept looking at me from top to bottom and he said the new cars are 20thousand and up I dont think you cant find what youre looking for, he said go to Honda or somewhere else.I was in chock.,My husband car is not fixable so I was desperete to get a car and I have good credit. I just cant believe the way this guy kept looking at me., my husband was looking at the prices in the cars so he didnt knew what was happening. Very uncomfortable place to buy a car. Very Unprofessional place. If I had time that morning I could had put heals make up and looked great, but unfortunally my husband car broke and cant fix it so We were where looking to buy a car, never thought this person goes by the appearance rather than checking someones credit and help them to purchace a car. Im done, very disappointed.

I think the parts manager is a really nice guy. I just ordered a Kia at another dealer, and it was delivered with unexpected damages. I went in to First Kia for them to take a look at what I would need to fix my car and replace my windshield. The parts manager was patient, came out and wrote down all the parts I would need, looked everything up and gave me a professional written quote. At no point did I feel like he was pushing me to buy something. The service gentleman was nice and professional too. He explained what I would need to do to install a front license plate bracket. It seems like a good, professional dealer. I will definitely be back when my car needs service or parts.

I did not think they would be able to get me down, but I drove off in a car I was happy with in < 2 hours.Also the selection of reasonably priced, certified cars was essential. I needed something with a warranty and I needed something I could afford. 1st Kia took care of me.
I went here on an impulse looking for answers to many questions about the KIA Soul. Noah hooked up with me and delivered without a bunch of pressure like at other places. Everyone there was great and easy to deal with. Rather than just answering a question Noah would show me about it on a vehicle so I actually could see the answer. He was very customer oriented and really seemed to care about the product and my understanding of it. The whole process was so refreshing that I bought a 2020 KIA Soul from them and am very glad I gave in to an impulse for once. Thanks, Noah, hope to see you again soon.

My salesperson and everyone I spoke to was friendly & welcoming. The car lot and the interior building and offices were clean. After a rocky start we were able to make a deal and I bought a Kia Forte.
This dealership would not let us return our leased Optima since we did not Lease directly from them. Our family currently has a separate lease from their dealership and we tried negotiating to buy our new kia through them however, it didnt work out. They told us they would only take our lease return if we had leased directly with them even though we live close by and would have to drive 20 miles further to the next closest dealership. Their sales department has left a bad taste in my mouth and all of our other Kia Dealership experiences have been far superior. We will be heading to Ventura who openly welcomed the idea of us turning in our lease even though we also did not lease from them.
No pressure sales agent. Ease of test driving, pricing, and purchasing the vehicle I wanted. Fastest and easiest experience I have ever had purchasing a new car.
As I was looking at a vehicle, another salesperson started showing it to someone else at the same time. My salesperson did not say anything to the other salesperson. I felt this was extremely rude and have never encountered this issue anywhere else. The salesperson did not even attempt to correct the issue when I said something. I will never come back to this dealership again.

What do you want your monthly payment to be?We answered all the questions, went for a test drive & came up with a perfect deal for us. We didnt even have my trade in with us, Joshua came with me to our house in Oak Park and took it away! AMAZING service & experience from start to finish. Firstly, everybody in the service desk area really has come to know me, personally. I feel appreciated and understood. I hope the people at Kia feel the same way when working with me. Next, I feel confident that I always get the absolute best and most honest pricing for services. Thirdly, I now have my 3rd Kia Optima, but still own my first. This most recent service, performed in June 2016, was for maintenance of my 2002 Kia! The cars are great! Love it all.

Update: 10/31/2021Both the First Kia Service department and Kia itself really went above and beyond to take care of us. Our 9-year, 11-month old Kia Optimas engine seized 1 month before the 10 year powertrain warranty was due to expire.The service department went to bat for us and worked with Kia to file a claim and replace the engine in our Kia. First Kia also replaced the starter and intake manifold due to their being collateral damage to the engines seizure. Kia also paid for a rental car for us for the duration of the repair, which took several weeks.I also bought 4 new tires and did an alignment on the car, and I added new brakes. We not only got our Optima back, it was like a new car! Were so grateful for your assistance! First Kias Service department has always been fair to us and weve never taken our car anywhere else. I highly recommend them, even if you dont own a Kia.______________________________________________________________________I used the late-night drop-off and pick-up options that First Kia offers, as theyre very convenient for me to not have to wait for longer service appointments. I was kept apprised via text and phone of when service started, any issues encountered, and suggestions for repair.I had 2 recalls done, and they noted after an inspection that my front end was outside of their recommended alignment parameters. In fact, the car was pulling to one side, and the steering wheel also vibrated at high speeds. I intended to do this work at a specialty shop, but when they quoted me competitive rates for the alignment and tire rebalancing, I went ahead with those repairs, too. I was able to view an invoice online and pay online, too, which meant that I only needed to sign and pick up the key during pick-up. I highly recommend First Kia for your service needs for their honesty, diligence and service.
Service Manager Guy has zero clue as to what customer service is, is a liar, and blames his employees for his failures. There are no less than ten customer complaints about him on this page, yet First Kia has not fired him, or changed his behavior, therefore First Kia DOES NOT CARE about their customers. I loved my salesman Cameron, but for service, First Kia is the WORST I have ever seen

They sent automated text messages whenever your car is at their service center, introducing service advisor’s name and courtesy statement. Also after a day or so once you are done with the service, you will get another automated text message asking how their service went out.I responded to the text how I experienced with improvement area that I felt. However they never contacted me back on any of my comments, which made me feel this system was just there for “showing off”, instead of getting actual feedback from their customers to improve their quality of service.Service lounge is cozy and filled with complimentary water bottles and hot beverage vending machine, which is not bad (not sure if they provide WiFi to the waiting customers), but again their customer feedback system needs to be improved.
Ben was great. Worked with him and told me the expectations. Got me a good price on a great car. I went to another dealer in Valencia before this one and their customer service was horrible. Ben made up for that big time by being attentive and made sure I understood what I was getting into. I wish them more success in the future. Its a bit of a drive from my home town, but it was worth the wait.
Tony was the person taking care of me and he sure did a great job! Granted that my car is still in warranty and it will be for the next 7 years, but he just made everything work and I sure am grateful for his work!
The service department (led by Robyn) ran like a well oiled machine! I got my car back in time to enjoy my Saturday afternoon. I also felt assured with the diagnosis and advice provided. Robyn was approachable and positive. I also loved your waiting room and cold beverages provided.
Took 3.5 just to get diagnosed on issue; yet nothing was fixed. I need to return because they need to order parts or it would take too long an this is with me having an appointment. I was not greeted in 2 minutes like they claim. Car wasnt washed like they say. Poor customer service to the max.
I first went to First Kia right before the new year after receiving a letter in the mail to trade in. I didnt NEED a car, but if the price was good.. my experience over all was fantastic, I had Jonathan as my sales rep both times (when I initially looked and when I came back to purchase). He was fantastic through and through. I told him up front what I was looking for, and he was able to show me exactly those options. I didnt walk away that day with it, but he followed up, and I came back in March had bought my car (2017 Sportage)from him! The entire experience was smooth and fast. So thank you to Jonathan on the great customer experience and thank you to First Kia. I definitely recommend Jonathan and First Kia to all my friends and family.
Ive been taking my Sorento to First Kia for a couple years to get maintenance work, a set of tires, and to take care of a couple recall issues. The work has always been done well and in a timely manner. Recently, I mentioned to them that the paint on my spoiler had faded and wondered if the warranty covered getting it repainted. Guy, the service manager took pictures and sent the information to Kia for advisement. In a couple days I was told the paint job would be taken care of by Kia. the paint job was done in two days and it looks great. The service provided by First Kia and Kia Corporation is much appreciated.

I took my car in 5/6/19 for the campaign fix and was told that the car would be ready by noon. I called in 2:30pm and was told my car was done. The receipt shows it was completed by 11:30, the customer service was disappointing, not welcoming to the customers, didnt offer the waiting room dont even know if there was one. I was stranded in Simi Valley from 8-3p.m until my car was completed. My car wasnt even washed or vaccumed as a courtesy. Just disappointed overall.5/24/19 So I have called three times and left messages for Mr. Johnny to return my call....its been a week and have yet to hear back. I am so disappointed that less than an hour or his response to my message and called back and two other times since then leaving messages. I doubt First Kia cares about their customer services if the calls dont get returned. Very bad customer service. I am very much disappointed!!! I do not recommend this place at all

He pointed out all the features and answered all my questions, without any pressure when I left. As Josh predicted, I loved the Sportage and when I was ready to make a deal the next day, he was fair and honest. It was refreshing to deal with a straightforward salesperson. I left with a beautiful new car and feel really good about the deal we made. Oh, and when I realized I had left an important item in my trade-in, I texted Josh on his day off and he made sure I got it back within minutes. We were happy with the used Hyundai Accent that we bought from 1st Kia until the check engine light came on and we needed service. We had purchased a warranty through 1st Kia and scheduled an appointment to have it looked at. The wait was about 3 weeks but I could understand that they were busy. However It turns out that they do not service Hyundai and in order to get the vehicle serviced we needed to take it to a Hyundai dealership. This was never mentioned during the buying process or when we scheduled the appointment. So now we need to find a dealership, schedule another service appointment and take another day off of work in order to get the vehicle fixed. In the meantime the car will be sitting in the driveway. Had we known this, or the fact that the vehicle was a rental prior to us buying it we would have chosen a different car. Needless to say, Im extremely frustrated. They may treat Kia owners differently, however I would not recommend buying a used car from them.
I took my Sportage here for service and it was a great experience. I researched other dealers in the area and their service departments had terrible reviews. First Kia also disclosed up front what the maintenance costs would be when the appointment was booked. This where I am taking my car for service from now on. Yes, this is a real review from a customer.

Jimmy was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and told me about recommended additional fixes/services as a result of the inspection - such as the wheel alignment - in a non-pushy way. My car was ready when he said it would be, and everything was fixed correctly the first time. They even gave my car a wash!
Were able to take us without an appointment to resolve issue with car not starting. Great Service!
If you are thinking of shopping here I recommend you take your business somewhere else and if you decide to come here anyway, be careful. If the car you are interested has an advertised rebate, make sure you get that rebate that same day or dont make a deal with them because you probably wont see it if you wait 7-10 business days.I bought a vehicle from this establishment this past December and I was promised by an employee of this business that I would get my rebate within 7-10 business days of buying the vehicle. Its been a month and I still have no rebate. Ive had to call several times to get updates and Gary, the Sales Manager, is either not available and when he is, he has another employee talk to me rather than speaking to me directly. I am starting to believe I wont be getting this rebate because I keep getting the run-around. I finally got the chance to speak with Gary directly (after I demanded that the sales guy I was talking to let me speak with him). Gary told me he had told me many times that I would be getting my rebate (his tone of voice implying that I was a nuisance and a waste of his time) but he just didnt know when because First KIA doesnt fund rebates. He said that KIA funds the rebates directly. This is totally understandable, however this information would have been useful to know PRIOR to purchasing the vehicle. Instead, I was told by Henry, their finance guy, that I would be getting a check in the mail within 7-10 days of purchasing the vehicle. When I told Gary that I had been promised a rebate within this time frame, he said he never made such promise and he didnt know why Henry had said that.I am very disappointed in the customer service at First KIA since my experience with the other First Auto Groups has been nothing but exceptional. Getting laughed at by a member of the Sales Team is unacceptable and definitely not appreciated. First KIA, this may not mean anything to you, but you lost a customer and i will make sure to tell everyone I know about my negative experience.
I came here for oil change, a recall fix, as well as a complete check for my car. It was around 25K miles, and I only done oil changes for it prior to that, so it was due for a check of all its components.Oil change and recall fix were completed.However, it turned out the mechanics only did a simple quick check (fluids, tire pressure, air filter and such - something I can do myself).So now I still have to go through the proper checks procedures again...Also their garage is very open, which lets all the dirt and debris blown inside while they worked on my car (i saw that on my dashcam footage).Definitely not recommending their service department.I would go to a different Kia dealer, who pays more attention and cares more for their work.

They don’t care about. Customer.I was there for 5000 miles service .the manager told me, you have to wait 2-3 hours because everyone went to lunch.
Definitely recommend this store. Had very positive experience. Everything was presented upfront and no gimics. Family owned store since I remember myself. KIA stepped a long way. Quality and packaging of new KIAs above expectations. Thanks again.
