This is a super awesome store. I will be coming here more and more. They are far more helpful than the big box stores that took over the home help and hardware stores of the 1980s . The parking lot is huge never a problem and they have everything I need for home repair and more. The people are super friendly and actually know what your talking about when you ask a question. They have seasonal goods as well so dont be afraid to ask, Im sure you wont be disappointed.

Nice friendly staff who are ready to help with your project. Customer service gentleman helped me look for a stainless metric bolts for my car. They have fixtures for thread counts and sizes. Acceptable prices. It doesnt have everything but for special projects, it can be helpful.

Great selection of higher quality products, the one garden hose properly triple crimped to prevent leaks at the brass fittings, essential for coupling hose end timers with water pressure always on. Great no leak hose extender. Great quirky novelties from childhood memories.

Support this local home improvement store in Simi Valley. This DIY Home Center does DIY better than the the other big box home improvement stores in the area. Great signage makes it easy to quickly find what your looking for. This store always has a well stocked paint, plumbing, lumber, and home section as well as a very nice indoor and outdoor garden area. Employees are always courteous, friendly, and helpful. This store also provides military discounts. Highly recommended!

Good alternative to home depot and Lowes. Plants are usually a bit cheaper and still wide VARIETY! Also only place in town that sells fox farm gardening soil which is by far one of the best.

Love this store! I live on the east side of Simi and this place is better than Home Depot. I can always get something seasonal... like this Halloween Decor 👇 Whenever I need something for the house whether it’s a plant, a door hinge, specialty ceiling fan light bulbs, copies of house keys, conditioner for cast-iron pans - I always find it!! Super helpful staff and the store is always clean.

Came in a few days ago. Ive been coming here for months, spent hundreds, and qualify for a contractor discount through my business. Most cashiers will ask you, Do you qualify for any discounts? Veteran, contractor? The last time I came in, the cashier (didnt get her name but very heavy woman with reddish brown hair) not only didnt ask if I qualify for a discount, but she asked if I have the card in a tone which made it obvious that she thought I was just making it up. When I told her I never needed a card before, another nearby cashier laughed, and she applied the discount and handed me my receipt in silence, no thanks or apologies. No other cashier has ever mentioned a card, and theres no mention of it on the DIYCenter website, so I assume she just made the whole thing up in an attempt to deny me a $2 savings for no reason but petty malice. Thats my last time shopping at the DIY Center, Ill just go to Lowes where everything is 50% cheaper even though they dont offer any discount.

This DIY store has plenty of things from a charger to a tool shed but dont expect exact items or tools you would find at a Lowes/Home Depot. I still need to explore some more but when I went there plenty of employees working and helpful to do the best in matching and item or look for something similar. I would go here if I needed something and not want to drive farther to a workshop store.

The prices are higher here than the larger hardware stores, but I shopped at the Simi Valley store due to convenience and the senior citizen discount. I was disappointed to find out the age for the senior discount was raised from 55 years old to 65 years old during a pandemic! Will be shopping at Home Depot and Lowe’s going forward!

There was a slow woman named Susan working at the Register and she was giving my mom an attitude. My mom didn’t know how the discount options worked since every place other place uses phone numbers, my mom asked if we had to put in our phone number and she said “no” with an attitude(described by my mom). While on the other side the furniture service people were VERY FRIENDLY and GOOD. They even cut the pipe to the right size we needed!. If the woman was new then I don’t blame her. But if she is an experienced worker then all she might need is a little tutorial or a test. But anyway the guys in furniture service were very good!. The store also had some stuff we needed today and in the past. If this makes you want to stop working, please don’t. If this makes you want to try harder and possibly succeed then take your best shot!

Great place. Prices are a little higher than the other home improvement stores in town but at least you dont feel like your money is going to a corporate giant. Good selection but maybe not as many varieties as you would get from the big companies. But they do always have whatever it is I have gone there for and then some. Garden center isnt hugh but it is always mostly full with a beautiful selection. All the plants or flowers I bought there have thrived. Staff is always available and knowledgeable with any questions Ive had.
