My recent visit to Jervey Eye Group was highly positive, from scheduling an appointment through getting records transferred to an invitingly personal and highly professional welcome. Dr. Bruce put the bow on top when he diagnosed a problem 2 other local practitioners failed to either see or relate to me. Yay!

The blonde girl that sits up front to the right is extremely rude and condescending. She needs customer service training ASAP. She refused to let me explain my situation and essentially called me a liar. She referred to me and my children as “new patients” which we are not. We are returning customers. She also said that Scott (who works in the back) is very slow which is why I couldn’t get what I needed today. Very unprofessional to speak of your coworkers like that. Lisa, on the other hand, was very kind, helpful and provided the information I needed. I arrived later than 4 and that’s the only explanation I needed as to why I couldn’t purchase glasses today.

I moved to Simpsonville in 2018, I needed a Doctor who would understand my particular problems, my Doctor in Pittsburgh suggested Jervey believing they would be a good fit for me. My Pittsburgh Doctor was correct, I highly recommend Jervey and will suggest them to everyone. A well run organization having all of the services I need.

Dr. Coleman and his tech are wonderful, but the lady that works in the front is very, very rude. She got an attitude with me last year over updating insurance and then proceeded to talk sh!t about me in a stage whisper within my hear shot while I waited, because I had the audacity to tell her the condescending attitude was not necessary. I tried to let it go and didnt complain because we like the doctor, and fast forward to this year and my daughters appointment has been canceled without any notice. I found out by clicking on their confirmation email, where I was notified it was canceled. I went to her patient portal and zero appointments are listed. This is just too much at this point. Someone at this practice needs to read the reviews and put the front desk lady somewhere that doesnt require customer relations. Unfortunately, after more than 7y here, we will be finding a new practice.

I had a great experience getting refracted and ordering glasses at the Simpsonville location. Everyone was following CDC COVID protocols, I was one of very few patients in office, and nothing took very long. I have a couple of rare eye issues and the doctor was familiar with them and very thorough. Ordering glasses was smooth and my mew frames and lenses were ready in about a week.
We had to change over to another eye doctor last year because of our insurance and since we had such a great experience with Jervey in Simpsonville when it came to getting our glasses we decided to move our records to them. We adored them at first but this year my husband had his appointment booked a year in advance and after calling and texting him multiple times to confirm his appointment for this week he got a text message early yesterday morning that his eye doctor would not be available to see him. They did call to reschedule with another doctor but my husband works until 3pm and cannot get off work early for any reason and when I tried to call on his behalf to reschedule his appointment for this year they had no other openings. Im sorry they should work him in since he had his appointment already. Thankfully we have found another eye doctor that will see us this year and now we will say goodbye to Jervey and their high prices.

I just called to reschedule an appointment that was cancelled due to a sick doctor. Let me start off by saying this appointment was a New patient appointment for me and my daughter. As I was speaking with the receptionist and trying to come up with another time I mentioned that I knew they were booking far in advanced because I scheduled my original appointment a while ago. That was when she proceeded to raise her voice and with an attitude say “Look I get that it’s frustrating but you aren’t the only one that has to reschedule. This has put us all in a bind. The doctor is sick and there isn’t anything we can do” I replied by saying - “I’m sorry, you don’t have to be rude I was just saying I had to schedule my appointment far” She responded by saying (with the same attitude and tone “Well you keep saying you scheduled a while ago and you already had stuff handled and we just can’t help it.”The way I was spoken to was absolutely outrageous and uncalled for.
Wish I would have read the reviews before going here. Called to ask about getting my hard contacts cleaned. My eye doctor is out of state and normal places do it for free. It takes 2 seconds. They assured me they did. I could come in whenever without an appointment. I let them know I was not a patient. She assured me that was fine just come in. I told her I was on my way. Again she said that was fine come on in. I get there and the front desk lady informs me that I do not have an appointment. I told her several times about my phone call she insists that I need an appointment. When I tried to leave she said if I wait 15-20 mins a doctor would be back from lunch and might clean them without an appointment. I needed to get lunch as well so I told her I would be back in 15-20 mins. I get back and she is still saying I need an appointment. So I try to leave again so Im not late to work and she decides to go talk to a doctor. Sure enough I need to fill out new patient information and get an appointment. She kindly wrote their number on a card for me. After wasting and hour and 20 mins of my life for absolutely nothing I dont think I will be coming back but thanks anyway. If someone was filling in on the phones during lunch a simple I dont know would have saved me a bunch of time and frustration.
I called Dr. Colemans office after hours regarding a prescription that the pharmacy had not yet received. Within minutes Wendy telephoned and said the prescription had been called in earlier in the afternoon, but she would check on it. About 15 minutes later she telephoned back and said the pharmacy now had it, it was ready, and told me what the cost would be. She ended up staying 30 minutes past office hours so I could have my prescription.
I made An appointment 3 weeks ahead of time at the Simpsonville location. I took The day of my appointment off from work, a little over an hour before appointment I received A call I needed To reschedule. I called Initially and held for almost 20 minutes. A guy picks up sounds asleep. I inform Of the message I received And that this is a huge inconvenience. With no empathy or other options he simply said the dr can’t see you today so that’s that. I ask For a sup, by now I’m extremely frustrated. He tells me, “sir calm down”. I informed Him he shouldn’t speak to a customer that way. He then blind transferred me to a vm. I called Back, same thing transferred to vm. I called The Simpsonville office where I was Scheduled, receptionist picks up and says hold please. I’ve been holding now 14 minutes and counting. Never had an issue before at the Greenville office. Tried the Simpsonville since this was closer and I must Say, ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. No empathy to the inconvenience provided, horrible customer service when trying to speak with someone!

After waiting for an hour for my appointment, I asked when I would be seen. They could not tell me. There were 6-8 people there to see Dr. Myers at the same time and we all waited a very long time. Will find another doctor.
Are you procrastinating undergoing cataract surgery? If so, run, don’t walk, to Jervey Eye Group. I am five days post surgery. Dr. Myers and his team have afforded me the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of my surroundings each day rather than having the world pass me by. Dr. Myers not only removed the cataract, but also corrected astigmatism in my right eye. Upon examination, my vision in my right eye is now 20/20 without glasses. How great is that? Dr. Myers, I can barely wait to “see” you and your team in a few weeks for left eye surgery.
Have been going to Dr. Myers for years and absolutely love him. I take my 90 year old mother to him and my husband also So we moved to the Simpsonville office when he did. I have never minded the wait because he always spends as much time as needed with all of us to answer any questions. He did my cataract surgery and I could not have been more pleased. My sister came up from Abbeville to have him do her surgery. She was very pleased with him also. The Simpsonville is way more laid back than the Greenville office.

The technicians who assisted were helpful and polite. My doctor was thorough and professional.I would recommend Simpsonville Jervey Eye Group if you are looking for eye care.
Absolutely horrible business. We ordered my sons glasses November 14th. Today is December 23 and still no glasses. They dont even follow up unless you call. Extremely unprofessional. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.
We have been on the books for over two months waiting for an appointment for my 6-year-old. One week before his appointment, we got a notice that his appointment was cancelled due to the doctor being out of town. When I called to reschedule the receptionist said the next available was not until NOVEMBER and was extremely rude even though they were the ones to cancel the appointment wed been waiting for months. She even said Its not like youre the only one whose appointment was cancelled, theres nothing I can do to help you.Now I have to find another eye doctor in order to get my son seen in a reasonable amount of time. Do NOT recommend as this office is incredibly unprofessional and obviously does not care about their patients. Very frustrating.
Made an appointment for my son. Waited a MONTH for an exam. The day of the exam comes around. And they’ve scheduled us at the Halton road office by mistake. Have to wait another TWO months to get my son an exam because of their mistake. Ridiculous

Surprised to see so many negative ratings while googling the number to set up an exam. My daughter and husband both have gone to the Simpsonville location for years, seeing Dr. Coleman. My daughter transitioned to contacts as shes gotten older, and they were so helpful with the process and teaching her to be confident getting them in and out. Ive never had an issue with billing of insurance, and usually take their prescriptions to costco if they do not see frames they like there, but the staff that helps pick out frames is always very helpful.

Was there for 45 minutes and was not even acknowledged by the doctors receptionist. I had to chase her from the sitting area back to the building front entrance. I asked if they were behind and she said no. They were seeing the previous days surgeries. Therefore the customers time is worthless and theirs is supreme. Just wait????
DO NOT USE THIS OFFICE!! Used them for years without issue. I have three insurance providers and never paid a dime out of pocket. This year their office tried to charge me $236 for a routine exam. I insisted that they file with my insurance. They apparently filed it incorrectly then sent me a bill for $196. They are now trying to force me to pay $196 due to THEIR ERROR. My visit should have been completely covered but their office misfiled and refuses to take responsibility for their error. I should NOT have to pay for their mistake.
I called to set up an appointment for an eye exam and new glasses. The receptionist was very rude over the phone. She asked what my insurance was and told me that they would not bill my insurance for an exam and I would have to pay $200 out of pocket. I advised the receptionist that I had already checked with my insurance company and they were in my network and their website showed that they accepted my insurance. She became very hostile and told me that they would not bill my insurance and I was required to pay out of pocket. No thanks, I will take my business elsewhere.
This place is terrible. My daughter just had an appointment with these people. She arrived at 10:20 and did not leave until 1:00. When the exam was over and she was picking out frames, the person helping her said he had to go to lunch and left! Another person came to finish and promptly messed the paperwork up and had to start over. When it was time to pay the bill, I told my daughter to tell them I would stop by on my way home from work and pay.. The person at the desk would not allow this and had her call me at work to get my card number. We have been a customer there for years and have had no billing issues in the past. Avoid this place if at all possible. They have the worst customer service I have ever seen!
My wife and I had eye exams for our first visit after our move to Simpsonville. I was not impressed with the minimal time spent with the exam and the eye prescription was not even close to providing 20-20 vision. I payed for an additional exam at a Walmart Eye clinic with great results. Do not use this group.
They ran 3 tests and I was out in an hour.. All 6 people I dealt with were friendly, courteous and professional! Good experience.
The Office Manager was very pleasant and composed given my complaint, but Mr Civiletto will put his alleged policies before a patients needs.I am very light sensitive and this so-called medical professional wouldnt see me without dilating my eyes (despite being informed it would likely lead to a migraine). For a healthy woman (i.e no concerning medical conditions like diabetes) under 40 years old, dilating is only recommended, not medically required. This man put his staff in a difficult position and completely wasted my time because he didnt educate his staff to tell his patients of his policy (I didnt see the tech/nurse until 20 minutes after my alloted appointment time and was in the building for about 1.5 hours- but hey, my time means nothing to such medical people. I dont believe my employers clients agree!).To top it all, he refused to give me a copy of my medical records composed by the Tech because hed not seen me and thus would not sign them off. Bearing in mind, it was his choice not to see me! I requested an email confirming the records had been destroyed- to date, no such email received!This was a traumatic experience. Apparently the fact that its my body and thus my decision means nothing to this pretentious so-called medical professional.Is it ironic that within a few minutes of being in the general waiting area with no natural light, I developed a headache and blurry vision because of the oppressive artificial lighting?! I told you I was light sensitive.(Dont ever take anyone on the autism scale to this place - its very loud, very open, lots of unnecessary comings and goings, generally unpleasant).The office manager claimed they wouldnt file against my insurance but considering I believe they are holding records on me that they refuse to disclose/shred, well see what happens... They will receive a lawyers letter if they file against insurance.Horrible, horrible experience!
Jervey - I have driven to Simpsonville SC location from Greer SC to avoid Dr. Shelley (incompetence and indignant) and see Dr. Myers. The appointment was not scheduled correctly, time or physician! Dr. Myers is professional and worked me in. If the support staff wasnt so exceptional the stats would be less than 2.4 for this group.
