Stopped by today havent been in for a while. Found a beautiful shirt that I really wanted. Went to another counter to pick up one more item. Well I stood there for 5 mins waiting on a person to help that was with another customer he went the other way without asking if I needed anything. Another person walked by 3 times looked at me but did not say a word. I took the shirt and hung it back where I got it from. Dont know if it was the boss or owner I let him know that the shirt was great but because I could not get any help I left. I have seen how much they value a customer that dont go in everyday, if they dont know you good luck!!!

I went here for my CWP class. The instructor Bob Bagnato was very knowledgeable, quick, detailed and made the class fun.

This store takes advantage of new shooters. I went in to get a box of 9mm ammunition and they only had one box. The gentleman never explained to me what the ammunition was, just that it was the last box. I noticed on my way home that it was FMJ and labeled for target. I wanted hollowpoints. I also noticed that it was close to $40 for one box. A quick google search uncovered several locations selling it for 1/4 that price. I called to ask about returning it as it wasnt the ammunition I wanted and was told no refunds on ammunition which is not stated on their receipt. I fully believe the gentleman that helped me knew I was a new gun owner and took advantage of that. I understand that I should have verified the type of ammunition but I was at a gun shop and trusted their expertise. Ill be filing complaints with the BBB and the ATF.

I have used this range on several occasions and find the staff to be knowledgeable and friendly. They are very safety oriented, and will be happy to help those new to shooting learn the ropes.The instructors and staff are mostly retired/active law enforcement and military, and it shows in their professionalism and demeanor.Also, because it is small and locally owned, there isnt the feeling of being just a number - they truly seem to care about the clients here.

First time shooter and had a fantastic experience!

My girlfriend and I went by the store this Saturday to buy her a pistol. She has zero experience and is very leery of guns. The sales associate took a great deal of time explaining options, items to watch for, and how to handle weapons so that she ended up buying a pistol. Very good service with a very wide selection from which to choose.

What I like best about The Gun Shop is the employees.Most of them are military and Law Enforcement veterans who are extremely knowledgeable about all things firearm related.Very helpful and friendly.Really great people.

A really nice indoor range with a good selection of rentals. The staff is very kind and helpful. I like going here and the location is convenient. I havent had a chance to take a class here but I do know they have quite a few that they offer.

Visited there along with my older brother yesterday (10/15/16) to use their indoor range. The lady who assisted us when we first went in was extremely nice and helpful. Being our first time there we had to go through the usual rules / procedure process but that went smoothly. The range itself was adequate and there was one young guy who oversaw the range and he went through the range rules quickly with us up front and then just kept a check on the people who were in there to shoot. My older brother was breaking in a new automatic and it failed to eject twice. The Range supervisor came over at our request, cleared the weapon and then stepped out of the way for us to continue. We were able so shoot at our leisure without any undue interference from the Rages supervisor, or without feeling that he was being overly Present. The store itself is small with a limited selection of arms for sale or trade, but our purpose there was to simply use the range to shoot. Something my brother and I do on a regular basis, and the overall experience there yesterday was good. Id definitely go back there again and shoot when Im back up in the area.

Reasonably priced. Pistol calibers only. Have to use their targets but they have a decent selcetion and all targets are the same price (at least last time I went) so always pick the big and crazy ones. Ignore the one star camera guy review. Anybody that has visited any range should know you cant pass weapons uncased between lanes behind the shooting area. If they were seen passing something between lanes and staff couldnt identify it on camera, they have every right to ask you. A lot of people will take pictures in the range and I think its safe to assume/ask, was that a camera youre passing?, to make sure.

This is a great local Gun Shop, a former book store. I was so happy to see a range in Simpsonville. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. I have purchased a few firearms from this shop. The range is also very nice and clean, always comfortable. Sure bet for anyone that needs advice, help or a firearm. I hope they are around for a very long time.

I love it here! Every single member of their team is courteous, knowledgeable, respectful, friendly, and there to answer any questions you may have. I first walked in their doors almost a year ago never even touching a firearm. I can now say that after having a private lesson, a CWP class, and many, many hours in their range I am a CWP holder and confident around a firearm. I highly recommend The Gun Shop whether you are shopping, sharpening your skills, or just seeking the correct information.

This is an incredible store and range in Simpsonville! The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and will help you in whatever way they can. They have CWP and gun classes, an incredible range, and an amazing selection of firearms, ammo, and accessories. It’s family friendly too. I take my son shooting there! Pricey ammo. As much as I wanted to walk away from the 30-30 purchase, I was already there. I like supporting local establishments, however, the $5 - $6 difference is enough for me to think twice about visiting this supplier.

They were very professional. Took my cwp class there. They made me feel comfortable and made sure I knew what I was doing. The range is well kept and clean. The staff are very friendly and dont crowd you but they are there when you need them.

The Gun Shop has a knowledgeable and friendly staff. There to assist if you need anything; but not so helpful that it bothers you.They have a full featured indoor range and can supply you with anything you forgot or use up. Its where I shoot if Im shooting indoors.

The Gun Shop and Indoor Range in Simpsonville, SC hosted a raffle a few years ago for an H&K VP9 pistol. I bought several tickets but I didnt win. A lot of guys I know bought tickets and didnt win. Ok, thats the way it goes. The winner turned out to be Will Lewis. Yes, that failure of a Greenville County sheriff that is under indictment for corruption. This place had campaign signs up for Will Lewis right after giving him the pistol that was supposed to be awarded to the person with the winning ticket. Perhaps this place should be investigated for charities fraud. As sheriff of Greenville County, Will Lewis would be able to send deputies to this place at taxpayer expense for range training. Did the manager of the shop just give Will Lewis the pistol to gain business from Will Lewis when Will Lewis didnt have the winning ticket? This raffle doesnt appear to have been conducted legally.

When Ive gone to this range, it has always had other people shooting pistols, like myself. Ive never had the unpleasant experience of someone in the next lane shooting a 12 GA shotgun, like at some of the other indoor ranges closer to Greenville (who needs to practice with a shotgun at a pistol range anyway???). I came in to have my damaged Glock firing pin looked at by Mike. He ordered a new one at a very fair price compared to other pricing I had found online. He even changed it out for free, when he could have charged a gunsmith fee. Over the years, Ive been very happy with the service at The Gun Shop in Simpsonville.

Me and my boys shoot here a lot. The range is great, they will help you install accessories, they showed my boys how to safely fire a firearm, and all the guys and Lady are very friendly!!

Rambo Rick on the Indoor range caused me and grandson to walk out. MUCH better indoor ranges abound in Greenville area. Forget it !

Visited the range with a friend and had an enjoyable time until one of the staff came in, and in an angry abusave manner asked us if we were passing a camera back and forth between our adjoining lanes.A camera? Was this knucklehead looking to buy a camera? I had no idea what the loud mouth was talking about and simply said, What?Loud mouth said we were under video surveillance and it looked like we had a camera.Im thinking, if we did have a camera thats our business, not some knuckleheads who made no sense with his abusive attitude. Was he drunk?He again said it looked like we were passing a camera back and forth. Maybe he had an interest in cameras, but his foul mouth should keep his ranting to his own bathroom mirror.We did have a laser range finder to set out targets at precise distanced but again, that was none of this big mouths business.Well, after he went off to wherever bigmouths go to oil their mouths. Another staff guy came in to see what we were passing between us. Really?My friend was kind enough to show him the range finder and the man went back to whatever perch he hung from.Now, as a CWP instructor and an Certified NRA Range Master Ive been in many many gun ranges but this experience with these knuckleheads definitely ruined my take on this gun range.I mean, using a laser range finder is our business. And if we had camera that is none of their business. What did they really want?These people acted like they were doing us a favor being interrogated by amateur busy bodies, and for what? Were they on drugs?Who knows, and who cares. Im done with this foolish den, and recommend to anyone wanting an enjoyable shooting experience to avoid this gun range. On the other hand, if you want to sell a camera, stop in and ask for big mouth.

The Gun Shop and Indoor Range is the only place I go to shoot and buy ammo and supplies. Most of their staff is Police Officers and retired Military. I prefer to patronize local owners and these folks go above and beyond!

They over charged us for our range, their people stopped working in January of 18 and they did not give us the range as we had asked for, they made it 18 feet too short, furnace was not what we had asked for and now I have NO HEAT. NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE!
