Good products. Its hit or miss on the help.

Went in to get wood for corn hole game. I think Ryan in building materials, helped me pick out the plywood and 2x4s needed and brought them up to register. He did a great job and knowledgeable. saved me money!! register person Nicole was very nice and carry guy was too!! They did great.

When it comes to Menards, the Spencer location is by far the best one. Always friendly staff, great variety of items for both inside and outside. The Menards in Sioux City, I can not say the same. An employee was well beyond rude to me.What he over heard me speaking to a couple of department managers in regards to wearing masks. This was when Masks were required last year after the State had opened the store back up. I had informed the 2 floor managers that I had seen several employees without their masks on. The young man who had been bringing carts from the parking lot in, while I cant say the word here, it rhymes with Duck, he not only said that to me, said it in front of the two individuals who did nothing said nothing. He continued to follow me outside repeating it over and over as I walked to our vehicle! I did call the store and ask to speak to the store manager and reported him. Needless to say I have never been back nor will I ever go back. Before the event, when compared to the Spencer, the Sioux City location never had the selections that Spencer does. Since the day Spencer Opened their Menards, we have always had nothing but great service, always found what we have needed and more.

I always have an excellent experience at Menards. The staff are always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the products in the department that he/she works in. They are cheaper than the other DIY stores in this town. Plus, they open earlier than those other stores and stay open later than them also.

Menards has a range of products and items to buy from. From outdoor and exterior design to pet supplies and personal care, Menards has a bit of everything and most of it is at a fair price and sometimes even cheaper. But there are some things that are overpriced, so youd be better off buying it somewhere else 😕. Overall Id recommend going there to shop for construction work more than anything else since thats what Menards focuses more on, and there are lots of options to choose from while being affordable. The 11% rebate on everything really saves you a lot of money too!!

Got what I wanted reasonably quickly. Got help from employees when needed and checked out quickly and efficiently.

Prices are great but finding stuff is hard. The store is confusing.....one minute youre looking at plumbing fittings and you turn the corner and youre looking at candy bars and dog food and clothing.

Shelby in the Cabnet department is awesome!!! She answered all of our questions, designed our new kitchen, we are just about ready to order, and we are also getting 11% rebate! Thank you so much!

Good place to buy material you cant find at homedepot

Well organized (layout) store with really good prices. Wide variety and quality products and materials.

My wife and I came here looking for a quote on a new fencing project and new deck project we are trying to do. We used the design center kiosk to design both the fence and the deck and it gave us a list of materials and how much it would all be. We found a few extra things along the way. The staff was very nice.

Accidentally forgot my mask in my car. I was stopped at the door and when I asked if they had a mask the manager was incredibly rude! And I explained to him that I wasnt asking why I had to wear a mask that I just wanted to know if he had some. His response was Im just telling you. Ive had numerous people complain about this. Everybody forgets things no reason to be so rude about it.

They dont stand behind their product or by their policy

Went to get siding the guys just looked at us and told us it was up the stairs we could go get it um no we need your help

The parking lot was stunning and beautiful. I really enjoyed sitting in my car within that gorgeous lot. All the other people seemed to excited and happy as they walked down the lot. All the cars were beautiful for sight seeing. I listened to music while sitting in the parking lot, as I waited to pick up my girlfriend. 10/10, would recommend.

We came in this morning to get a water softener and pellets. They were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Very helpful staff!! We needed assistance and had no problem getting some help right away! Also our cashier was very nice :)

Despite previous experiences at other Menards, I got excellent help finding what I was after. No hassles.

I get more upset every time I visit the Sioux City store. This time I went in to return a trimmer that Id only had for a month but hasnt worked correctly for 3 weeks. After arriving at the customer service desk I was told I needed to remove the last three drops of gas in the tank. I went out and did this and came back in. It was obvious that the girl behind the counter I had no idea what she was doing she was also as pleasant as someone on death row. After someone was called from that department they came up to tell me that I cannot return it because Id had it more than 7 days. I would have to take it to one of their approved mechanics to have him say it was broken! I asked them why this wasnt posted on my receipt they said it was posted in that department near the trimmers.I then proceeded to ignore most of my list and only buy one item from the store, a ceiling fan. I get this item home and look in a box and find parts missing as a must have been a restock. But nothing was noted on the outside of the box. I spend thousands of dollars at this location through the years I will not spend another dime. I then proceeded to go to home Depot and was served by people who know what they are doing, actually acted like they liked working there, and were pleasant. Im so tired of going into the store and being served by grumpy people who dont know what theyre doing and dont care if they give decent service. Needless to say avoid the store at all cost!!!

A good place to go for just about anything. Doing a remodel? Need christmas decorations? Toys for the kids? Pet supplies? Groceries? Menards has it all. Every time I go in, I get 5 star customer service. They are always so helpful and willing to answer every question I have. The store is always clean and especially during these covid times, they are doing everything they can to ensure you have a safe shopping experience.

Will never be back tell me i have to wear a mask or get out... use to buy everything at menards never again guess go to lowes

Menards in my opinion is a home improvement Walmart. Necessary evil. Sometimes I think it is less expensive only to shop around and Home Depot is usually less expensive. Most tools are sub par but if only going to use for one project, they will get the job done

The customer service is just terrible. The last two times I have been here I have not had one person ask me if I am finding everything alright. I wanted to buy a fireplace for my livingroom and had to track someone down for them to tell me that is not their department and walking off. I did not buy a fireplace and left. I just bought a home and planned on going to Menards for all my updates I wanted to make and am regretting that decision.

Menards is a joke. If it wasnt for the prices the service would definitely not be a reason to come here. My co-worker and I needed to pick up lumber the other morning and went to the board shed. When we started loading there was not just 1 employee near us, but 5 people. Not one person offered to help. I said boy it would be great to have some help. Not one person even stopped to ask if I needed help. A fork lift was in middle of the road and had to carry boards couple extra feet, no big deal. A heavy guy saidcant you drive all the way around the shed to the othe sides to make it easier? Really its only 20 more feet to carry this, well he walked off because that was to much work for him.

Terrible vegetables wouldnt be even buy need to throw them all out went across the street to bomgards vegetable plants where in awesome condition

We havevshopped there for years. They have2 electric scooters if you need them to get around like me.

Good customer service, got what I needed and went on my way pretty quickly with the store associates help.

Drop the mask policy. People are vaccinated and forcing customers to wear masks in your store is ridiculous.

Menards is a great lumberyard. They are very competitive on price and have very good customer service. I really appreciate being able to make purchases on menards.com and having them fill the order so all I have to do is take the paperwork to door 14 and pick up the order. My only complaint is that they limit the quantity you can purchase to inventory on hand and you are helpless to order more so you can fulfill your needs. My favorite thing about menards is the ability to special order Doug fur studs and msr rated lumber. They also have a large selection of anything you need to build a house, many times they even stock products that I would have to special order from other lumberyards. I have saved thousands of dollars annually because of Menards and I would not be as successful without the savings I have received from Menards.

Ordered Jeldwen windows 1st of July, was told 2-3 weeks. Its been 4 months!, still no windows. Call to check they keep giving different explanations.DONT ORDER WINDOWS FROM MENARDS! When u call they say lead time 30 days, when you inquire in person they say 6 - 8 weeks! Today they said there is a PLASTIC SHORTAGE! Manager wont do anything, now its winter time and will be to COLD TO EVEN INSTALL. THESE GUYS ARE INCOMPETENT LIARS!

I feel that their mask policy is ridiculous! It is unnecessary and I will be shopping elsewhere! I dont like that a store is making it mandatory to wear a face covering that can affect my health in a negative manner.

The mask and no children mandates really lowered this but what made it a 2 star is the fact they charge my debit card within seconds at purchase but will take 10 days to give my money back at return. Very poor policy and extremely outdated and possibly fraudulent.

I love Menards (previously)n but Im done with them due to one a-hole employee who took it upon himself to be the mask police. Ill wear a mask, but I dont need a do-gooder trying to shame me. He was just flat-out rude.

Menards is always a heckin good time, but its mega wack that some require face masks and others dont. As a company I would like to see some uniformity.

Absolutely horrible experience with the Sioux City location. The outdoor lumber yard employees are very rude and completely unwilling to help. Most of the materials I needed were either damaged or stocked incorrectly. Will be avoiding this store at all costs.

They require you to wear face masks now but people are still friendly and will help you out with whatever you need

Very disappointed in Menards. Dont plan to return, there is Lowes, Fleet and Home Depo in sioux city I dont need Menards.I bought a hose for $12 took it home and it was so poorly made you couldnt even screw it into anything the threads were so poorly made. I took it back with my receipt from only an hour prior and advised them I didnt want hose. Id paid cash for hose and requested cash back so I could replace hose somewhere else. They advised me I could only get in store credit and no money back. I advised them I needed a hose and didnt want to just buy something else I didnt need. They refused and advised only could get store credit. I was in middle of big project at home, so that $12 is going to cost them alot more than they can imagine. So much for customer service. Never again, too many other good choices in Sioux City. Not only do they have no customer service, what they sell is junk.

Very busy today. Lines at registers but they reacted but a little slow. It was an ok visit. Usually as Im walking around getting everything I need usually some of the help will say hi but not today. They all must have been busy.

Just drove 20 miles to shop at Menards to get told I cant shop there without a mask but I could buy one for $ 1.04. I turned around and left I thought if they truly wanted my business they would provide a mask free

Went today to get small can of 1 orange and 1 can of black paint and the guy in paint dept was busy with 4 ppl in line so we asked another who was stocking the paint cans if he could help us and he said its not my job!its the first time anyone has been this rude to us!!

Great place to get what you want and save money

No one here is helpful. They’ll literally tell u gotta go to “blah blah blah cause it’s their department and they’ll know” just for me to walk all around the store and find this one person and for that person in that department be able to answer one question before I gotta go find someone else with more knowledge. This has happened on every occasion I’ve shopped here.

Everyone has to wear a facemask.Felt very comfortable and safe.
