I am getting ready to retire and bought a house in NW Iowa with a huge 4 seasons room/living room with existing Pella 2, 3, and 4 panel sliding doors. Once we moved in we called Pella of Sioux City to have the doors evaluated. We contacted Kathy the Service Coordinator to schedule the evaluation and she sent Clay out to look everything over. I have to say that I was very impressed with Clay. His attention to detail, his desire to explain the condition of the doors, his patience with my many questions, and the time he spent going over all the mechanical workings of the doors was a clear indication of his commitment to customer service. We then finished by going over all the issues he found and I gave him the green light to order what was needed and go ahead with the repairs. Kathy promptly contacted me with the scope of work and contract then set up the date to begin the work. Kathy then contacted us to see if it would be acceptable to have Clay come sooner of course it was and he came out to the house. I have to say when Clay got here I felt like I was the only customer Pella had as there was no rush to get in and get out. He took time to do the work as it should be done, and even came back a second time as some of the weather stripping was not to his liking. He explained how to better care for the doors/windows (It was easy to see that even before calling Pella the previous owners had neglected them) to the extent of what types of solutions to use when washing the windows. It was very educational for me and you could tell that Clay loves what he does. I want to extend a sincere thank you to both Clay and Kathy on the great work performed and the sense of confidence I have in the work that was done. I will not hesitate to have Clay back again and plan to have him look over the doors on a periodic basis. These extensive doors were put in in 1995 so as you can imagine they needed extensive TLC to bring them back to snuff. The service provided by Clay gives me a sense of relief for my other window upkeep needs as we are having all the windows and a set of French Doors replaced with Pella. My only hope is that Clay doesnt retire for quite a while and if he does I hope the next service man is just as committed to customer service as he is.
Just as should be expected, no unexpected situation
Super helpful and great choice for energy efficiency.
From start to finsh a simple process.
I had Olivia come out to my home to replace windows. She came up with a great design to change the whole look of my home.
Over the last 10 years the wife and I have been incrementally replacing windows in our home with the Impervia series windows and one patio door. Over that period of time we have received nothing less than top-notch service. We are working with J.J. on this latest project and we have to say that his communication skills etc. are excellent. He even lined up the installation company for us; I didnt have to do squat! Thats how summers should go. Thank you :0)
Spend $6,000.00 on a new patio door which included installation. Was told it would be installed approximately 4 weeks after being ordered. I contacted them 7 weeks after I ordered it and was told that it had arrived but they just didnt have the time to contact me to schedule installation with one of their preferred contractors. Door is delivered and installed. Sidelight window scratched, drip edge was too short, and exterior trim was cut to sit on my patio pavers which fluctuate with temperatures. Service guy from Pella came out, told me that the glass would be replaced, trim would be cut up to allow for expansion / contraction, and drip edge would be replaced with one of proper length. After a month of waiting for this to happen, Pella service guy came to my home today, took down my vertical blind which he did not reinstall when done, didnt caulk are where he had to replace the drip edge, and did not cut off trim as promised. If I didnt have to match the patio door directly above this one, I would have paid half the price and had a much better overall experience. Many other products and companies are out there that do a top notch job... the first time. Pella doesnt. Very disapppointed!
I am sure if u buy windows you could get help here but if u have existing issues with Pella windows that u own...no help
Its just how it is isnt a professional response from Pella representative handling a warranty claim. The representative in question is Deann Lawrence. When someone spends $15,000 on your windows they dont expect to pay you to send youre tech out to determine why they arent functioning two years later. Steer clear of Pella when looking for Windows.
Unwilling to help.
