Stan Houston is the place I go when the big box stores don’t deliver on what I need. They are the specialty tool and rental tool company in Sioux Falls. I enjoy their woodworking section the best.

The salesman was very helpful. I needed a blade for a band saw. They were a bit on the pricey side though.

They also have an experienced service department for all your equipment service needs.

Had to pick up some blasting sand for the company I work for, didnt get to look around much. Had to pick up our order and take off. Big facility though, lot to look around at.

Had a discrepancy about the price of a product that the salesperson told me and that the price tag showed. They didnt honor the price but did give me a little bit of a discount. They couldve been more professional and less argumentative.

I am giving this 5 stars because of the customer service. I am slightly surprised by the lack of items that I was looking for to refinish antique furniture.

When Stan Houston was in their previous very small building -- their supply of equipment was readily available. Now that they have a large showroom -- all equipment is back-ordered.

Moved to a new location. Kmart building on 12th. Everything looks as nice as a new store should. Carry all major brands for tools, power tools, equipment. Well trained staff, knowledgeable, and helpful.a place to check everything needed for construction, or home repair.

Lots of nice tools. Wish they had a better website because you cant find anything on it. You have to call, email or go there to find it what they have.

Had to make a delivery at SH today and the employees in receiving were rude and very inpatient. The other employees there and over the phone were courteous and helpful but not the best experience with receiving. I expect grumpiness and ill tempered personalities when I go out east but not in my own home town.

As a regular guy and a new homeowner, places like this are sort of scary at first. Everyone is super knowledgeable and a little intimidating to talk to. But after a few visits, I definitely enjoy picking up supplies here and I feel like these guys have seen it all. The prices seem in line with other places I have seen and the rental side has almost anything you could need. I highly recommend visiting.

Not only does Stan Houston have high quality tools for just about every job they have the people with knowledge of their products. I have been buying from them since I started restoring old homes in 1990, can’t thank them enough for the time that they have spent making sure I had the the right products and tools. These guys have knowledge and experience and always have the answers.

This is like a candy store for people who do construction it seems like.

I rented a tool recently, the price I was quoted and the price they tried to charge were not the same. They did make this right. That same day I dropped a drill off for warranty service and was quoted about 2 weeks for it to be repaired. 2 weeks later I called to check the status and was informed that it hasnt been touched and that any expectation of a timeframe was completely unreasonable (he did offer to lie to me about it). I dont see how I could trust these clowns moving forward, wish I hadnt already water time with them.

Great place to find quality tools. Work in part with Rockler providing a great selection of woodworking tools along with other construction equipment. Customer service isnt the best, you are watched all the way in and from behind the counter they will ask if you need any help. Rarely have I been asked face to face. But once talking to an associate it is usually a good experience.
