I got to know about this place very recently.I was looking for Indian appliances at affordable prices, Gandhi appliances offer affordable prices for all the items they have at the store.I ordered Preethi Eco twin mixer/blender which comes with 2 jars and 1 year warranty.The staffs were kind in assisting the orders over the calls.It was also shipped in 3 days through FedEx.I would definitely recommend for someone who’s looking for an Indian appliances like mixer, grinder, cookware. They also sell the parts of the appliances in case if you need only the parts.

While placing order customer care lady was so nice and sweet, After i received a broken item and wanted to replace or returned she is asking me for extra shipping charges for the replacement of broken part.Very delicate items and not even close to the description they have provided on their website.

I needed a small fuse to fix a voltage converter I have had for years. I googled it, found Gandhi Appliances, which has an easy online ordering form. Within a few days I had four fuses for $5 delivered via USPS. It was fast, easy and inexpensive. Without a fuse, the converter and the lamp connected to it would have been inoperable and destined to be junk. Im really glad to be able to keep what I have going. Better for the planet 🙂. The inventory and the pricing is great. But one of the sales person lacked the basics of customer interaction, and was dismissive and rude at times. Looks Great Product!Found a product here even Amazon doesnt have.I purchased a Preethi Blue Leaf Platinum Jar 1.7 ltr, which looks good and matches exactly as same as the Original. I bought a Surco Prime Speedo 16mm carrom board on Amazon from Gandhi Appliances a couple of weeks ago. The striker that came with the carrom board was of a very inferior quality, so I bought two Ball Strikers from their website. Big mistake - always buy through Amazon. See the picture I have posted. The blue striker is similar to the one that they have advertised on their site. The blue striker is fine. The green/yellow one is the one that I wanted replaced since it was not the same size (tiny difference in diameter, height is fine) or the same type (ball striker) as the one I had ordered. Here is their response, We send you standard striker that coming from company as we mentioned on description also Design May Differ, we dont have any alternate one.My suggestion to the reader, please make your own judgement call. You may not get what you paid for.

I purchased a Butterfly Pressure Cooker recently from Gandhi Appliances website, it quickly shipped out and was delivered in 2 days, their communication was excellent throughout, I am very impressed withe quality of this Indian made cooker, and from this experience with this company I can recommend them to anyone considering shopping on their site.

There is one single person manning the place, and after visiting the store, I can understand why some people complain about poor customer service, especially on the phone. He was kinda hard to understand in person itself. In order to get a new mixie I went there, looked at the array of unboxed mixers, and bought a new one still in the box. The clerk opened and showed the contents to us. They have some interesting desi kitchen utilities as well, in the store.

Never buy from these people as they are a complete cheat. I bought a electric switch for $25 and was surprise when I got the switch as it was a very cheap/poor quality part manufactured in India (I had a family member check the part in India and its a subpar product even in India and it costs only INR 49.00 (USD 0.66 Cents)). Found them on Google while searching for options to replace the dome jar for our Preethi mixer. Sent a text message to the cell phone # that was on their site and within 30 minutes got a response with the link to the part on their site. Placed the order and it arrived ahead of time and in good order - impressed with the customer service. The product is also the right one which was a question mark in our mind till it actually arrived.

We bought Tabakh Mixer Grinder on Sept 24th, 2019, and within nine months mixer would not start the same like it used to, so we decided to reach out to the customer service and asked to get it replaced or fixed. We knew the guarantee was valid until sept 24th, 2020 (OBVIOUSLY). They very easily denied any repairs or exchanges without a price even though it is under a guarantee. I am extremely disappointed to receive such poor customer service. Anyone else buying this mixer MAKE SURE TO IGNORE ANY GUARANTEES OR WARRANTY that come with it.I ordered the mixture online and I am not from the city which is why they are asking for us to pay a two way shipping plus their repairs charges. Terrible customer service I would give them no stars if that was an option., I bought a mixer from them and the lid kept on popping off, so I contacted them but the refused to work with me for a return. The lid was clearly defective but they kept on refusing. They kept on telling me I would have to paying for shipping back and get hit with a 20% restocking fee. A fee for what I asked. They said for using it and returning. How in the world was I supposed to know it didn’t work with out using it. And plus there making me pay for shipping both ways. No that’s just terrible service. So after talking to the first guy I wasn’t getting anywhere. So I asked for a manager but he said theee wasn’t any. But clearly there was bc a few minutes ago he was asking someone else about questions and confirming things so clearly there was someone higher up then him. But he said there is no one here but him. One of the best places in Chicago that caters to Indians for cooking utensils - you can get almost anything there.Many of the indian items you buy on Amazon US is shipped by Gandhi Appliances - things like pressure cookers, Ultra Wet Grinders, Mixie, kadai, cooking vessels, you name it they have it.They also have a small selection of food items 😉.Prices are reasonable - definitely cheaper than ordering from Amazon (about $50 less) if you have the option of going to the store.Staff is very friendly and helpful. Owned Preeti Eco Twin for 9 yrs now, had to replace it finally. Bought a Eco Twin 4 jars at Gandhi Appliances, delivery was fine. The mixie is extremely noisy, more than the one i owned before. And the dealer says thats how the new mixies from Preeti are. Terrible PREETI!! And added to it the 4th (1L) jar has this weird cracking sound when its in use and even more when it stops that i dont hear in the other 3 jars (although they are loud as well). Gandhi Appliances didnt respond to my complaint about the 4th jar. Not sure if theyll even assist!

When I received, it looked used, so I returned it thru Amazon and offered to accept replacement. The carrom board we purchased has the company name Gandhi Appliances printed in bold letters on the top. Why should I pay for free marketing? The display image on the product page did not show this as well. Otherwise the packaging and the board was good.
