Great customer service!Went in for my first wax with them and followed up for a touch up, without hesitation they took care of me and the service was PHENOMENAL.Ended up getting the 12 Brazilian package and considering getting full leg, virtually painless, fast, clean and very friendly.

I like this location and really love EWC’s policies and wax technique in general. The only complaint I have is that they tend to cycle through wax specialists a lot! It seems like as soon as I find one I like and begin to book her regularly, then she’s gone! And, often I don’t find out she’s gone until a few days before my appointment when they call and by then the other wax techs are booked up. Not sure what’s happening with the high turnover here.Overall a good spot, always easy parking and low wait times. Once you go to EWC you will never go back to other waxers!!

Luxurious atmosphere without the luxury prices. The wax blend is PHENOMENAL. All of the employees are friendly. Wax specialists ability to be thorough is varied-really hit or miss. Be sure to check the area and be satisfied before you leave.

I go to the Touhy location. Everyone ia really friendly especially at the front desk. For wax specialist i go to Rae. She is the best. Love her and she is always always fully booked.

The service is quick and relatively professional. Depending on the wax specialist there may be more accuracy than others.

GET PAPER TOWELS FOR SAFETY DURING COVID..... Washing hands only, you then end up touching things again.... door knobs, lock on bathroom. Etc.Let me be clear CHANTEL WAS AWESOME..... she gets 5 stars

Uneven waxing. Was a messed up bikini when I booked a Brazilian. Only did half of it. They stay in the room when you undress and dress. Never been to a place that does that. I will stay at a smaller local shop instead of going to a chain ever again.

Go Skokie! I live in Chicago and typically get my waxes done in the city. But I LOVE this location. My girl is Laura. She is fast, efficient and very entertaining. Great and friendly staff who will make you feel at home. Its worth the drive. :p

Nicole is absolutely amazing. Shes very good at distracting you and making the waxing experience way more comfortable than one would imagine it to be! Shes very thorough and great at her job. Will absolutely be a repeat client for her specifically.

After going to the Logan square location I finally realized this location was a lot closer to home. This location is in a nice area and the employees are so nice! They also finally convinced me to buy one of their packages haha. Their products are great!

So I went for a free eyebrow waxing and then this happened(see pictures). The wax was way to hot when she put it on my face and she wasnt able to remove all the wax when she tried ripping it off my skin. I never went back because this was such a horrifying and painful experience and the burns lasted a little over two months. I hope nobody ever has to go through the pain I went through with this. I am not writing this review to keep people from visiting but I am writing this review to politely warn other customers to carefully choose your esthetician. Stay beautiful!

Just moved back from Florida and was pleased to see a new location that opened by my house. Marinah who did my Brazilian was amazing! She was very thorough and took her time to get every last hair. She was friendly and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire visit. Valory at the front Desk was very personable and made my experience checking in and paying a swift experience. I will definitely be coming back!

This was my first time getting waxed and I got a Brazilian--go big or go home right? Valory, the receptionist was great! She was very knowledgeable and answered any questions that I had. The expert that did the service, Marinah, was great as well. She made me very comfortable and was very thorough with her work. My overall experience with this location was great and they will DEFINITELY be seeing me again.

My wax left behind so much underarm hair when I got home And really inspected it was so so disappointing... and my hair was long! it was my first time here and I’m unsure if I’ll ever be back... for all the great things I’ve heard about European Wax Centers. My experience was nothing like that.

The facility is clean, everyone is very polite and professional, but the service left a little to be desired. I came here for an underarm wax since they offered a complimentary first service. The hair was broken off at the skin surface, not pulled completely out so I had regrowth and ingrown hairs within days.

I had just had my eyebrows dyed at my hair salon to appear thicker. I went in to European Wax to have the blonde hairs surrounding eyebrow “ cleaned up”. The technician was very kind and knew just what I needed, but once I left and went to my eyelash extension appt. I asked the owner of the salon if she could see what I see... one brow was much thinner than the other side. And she pointed out” shorter “ as well. For these kinds of prices they should have much better control over what they are doing. I’ve also called management to see if I could switch my monthly service to a waxing on another part of the body, and management does not return calls.

When I went there they offered me the package for Brazilian wax buy 9 get three free!So she convinced me, it was my first time trying it. She said if I didn’t like it I can cancel it. Now after four tries with different girls I decided to cancel because I still had to do a lot of it by myself at home. I called and the representative told me that she has to charge me a fee for canceling. I am very upset how they get you to purchase something and one as a customer trust a company and then this happens. 😭I won’t be returning to Europing wax center.

Very nice experience, christina was the name of the girl who waxed me she was super nice I didnt feel shamed or anything and her waxing skills are super good didnt feel as much pain even after few times of shaving. I ll def go back there and totally recommend the place.😍

Hard sell, did not do as I asked and waxed brows very thin instead of a simple arch. Poor service, I would not go back.

Wax with Adrienne!This is my second time waxing after some home waxing fails and I’ve been searching for the right wax specialist. I live near a few EWCs so my options were broad but I think that I’ve found my home EWC.Adrienne was my specialist and she was very professional, respectful(in terms of not being suuuper talkative or inquisitive), and best of all FAST & PRECISE! The experience was more comfortable than expected.Adrienne recommended some great products and also reviewed my options for the savings membership. If that wasn’t enough, the young lady at the front desk, I’m regretful that I didn’t catch her name, was wonderful as well. I will definitely be returning to this Skokie location in my due time. (Visit 2/4)

CLEAN AND FRIENDLY

I dropped down my rating (originally 4 stars on Yelp), not because of the actual service by Marinah which was fine (actually really good, none of this has to do with her ability), but because I got a call a few days ago stating that the appointment I made at the end of October for 11/25 (almost a month out) cannot be accommodated, so I need to choose one of the 2 services I was scheduled for or change my appointment altogether. The manager (cant remember her name - Marquan?) I spoke with said its because they shortened their hours (not indicated on their website, not indicated on Yelp...) and honestly, she wasnt very pleasant or helpful. So I will get one service done elsewhere which should be SUPER EASY RIGHT BEFORE A HOLIDAY! ALso, she said the hours changed about 1.5 weeks ago. Update your info! Call your customers in a TIMELY manner! Seriously, what bad management/customer service. NO notice, place the problem on the shoulders of your customers, dont offer a discount, dont make ANY attempt to accommodate - but expect me to be able to leave work early to get their earlier. Um, no. Bottom line, Im in downtown Evanston, salons and spas are ALL OVER the place, so its questionable if Ill return after this last appointment SOLELY because of this experience. Lame.EDIT: Another manager called and said there was a miscommunication and that all appointments made before the hours were cut will be honored. I appreciate that. You get a star back :)

I love Diana, and my go to, sweet and great at what she does!

Unfortunately I had the worse experience today. I usually would go to the place on Elston but it is too far for me to travel and I really looked forward to the Skokie location opening. I came in early to make sure I was on time for my Brazilian wax appointment since their policy requests you to be on time. My esthetician Diana was running late. I didn’t mind that so much since I read reviews that she is highly recommended and so I looked passed it. However when it was my session, Diana was clearly feeling pressure to rush and move on to the next person so she spent not even 10 min with me and was not gentle at all!! I have a hard time believing the reviews that people said about her. Then as I’m looking at myself in the mirror, she left me in patches and butchard! She was blaming me that it is my ingrowns but more like she just refused to spend more time to go over my hairs again!! I want someone who will take their time and pay attention to their clients needs and that was not Diana. To make things even more worse, as I’m getting dressed, she kept making me feel uncomfortable to hurry up and get dressed so she can walk me out as she explained to me that she usually doesn’t work on saturdays and filling in for someone else. I was not impressed at all with this place. It was painful, rushed, and not good quality of service. I guess making that extra 15 min drive to Elston is worth it so I get what I pay for.

So so experience. Over priced and needed to get another wax a week later cuz I asked them to make it natural. She barely took anything off. I’ll stick to the budget places
