Awesome Pressed chicken sandwich and the elotes were amazing.The space is very nice and very open, deceptively high ceilings and a very metro coffee vibe in what felt like a small downtown.Highly recommend stopping by!

Co workers and I decided to try something new and local for lunch on a Saturday and ordered from Pressed. It was the best collective decision weve ever made. To say the sandwiches were delicious would be an understatement!! Perfectly flavored, fresh ingredients, carefully wrapped for delivery... Everything about this experience deserves 5 stars. Were definitely making this our new go-to lunch restaurant!

I am new to the neighborhood so Ive been looking for a new coffee place that has the right combination of comfort, good ambiance, and food and drinks. This place has it all and it is a gem. I say that with the conviction of someone that hunts for good coffee shops in the Chicagoland area. The sandwiches are delicious and fresh. The staff is friendly and always attentive and informative.

So glad I found this quaint little cafe in downtown Skokie. The atmosphere is relaxed and the cafe is very clean. I ordered the cubano sandwich with yuca fries on the side. The sandwich was served with what seemed like a coleslaw. Everything was delicious! I dont normally prefer pork but this pork was so good. The bread was fluffy and fresh, it all seemed very homemade and authentic. The young girl at the register was so nice and even went back to bring my ketchup after bringing our food out. The prices are reasonable and the taste of the food makes it all worth it. Id recommend this cafe for a quick, good lunch or in general! Well done.

Found a new place to get my Jibarito fix. Service was great, food was amazing. Perfectly seasoned and not overdone on the garlic like most places. It was soo good I forgot to take pictures lol.

Great space. Had the Cuban sandwich and 3 of us had coffee. The sandwich was excellent, a nice blend of modern that seemed a touch healthier than the classic. The coffee was outstanding--the mocha was the winner of the 3 drinks. Strong recommendation.

Sandwiches are ok- the meat seems to be overcooked and rubbery, but it was hot and ready quite fast so I do have to give it points for that. However it was the barista/cashier that left a sour taste in my mouth. No greeting upon entrance, which I would usually look past, but while I stood and wait by the register this younger looking, disinterested male (who seems to be referenced in another post) proceeds to start this long coffee order without even a glance or word of acknowledgement the entire duration. When stepped up to order, the first thing that came from his mouth was, What do you want? After the barista begrudgingly took my order, he received a phone call for an order, which he gleefully received, so he clearly has the capability to be courteous and for some reason refrained when I walked in.Although I understand that times are tough out here, this was no lunch rush, no big line or hold up, and the entirety of the cafe was empty save myself. I would not recommend this place if you expect to be treated with common decency and not be served rubber on a pressed bun.

Great local coffee shop with great drinks, food and staff! Ordered Cafe Con Leche that was made perfectly. Not too strong. Not too sweet (although I love sweet). Made just right 😁 Had a classic Jibarito as well and it was delicious! 😋 Flavors were great! Just as they were when I was growing up. Lastly, staff dusplayed great customer service! Kyle was very friendly and helpful (He made the cafe con leche by the way) and owner, Andrea was a delight to meet. Love to support local small businesses especially my fellow female entrepreneura (Latina Bonus). My friend and I really enjoyed ourselves. We may make this as our new central meeting point. 😉

Excellent Cuban sandwiches!

This might be my new favorite cafe in Skokie. I had the jibarito and Abuelita mocha latte - both were fantastic. Im dairy free so I loved that they had oat milk and a few other nondairy options for the latte. The location is great for meeting with people, with a couch area and lots of smaller tables. It was also perfect for doing work (good wifi, not crowded, great background music). The service was great, with all the staff really friendly while giving you space. And its right off the train. So happy I came here, cant wait to go back!

We met with friends at this spot for lunch. This place was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was a winning. The staff were very polite and we felt fantastic. The meal was fresh and delicious.

I am so glad we found this hidden gem! Great food, service and location. The owner Andrea was super attentive to us while we were there and I felt safe because they were closely adhering to COVID protocol’s. If you are looking for good Puerto Rican food or even coffee and don’t feel like driving into the city, this is the place to go!

Finally! A place near Evanston that serves both jibaros and Cubans! I will be ordering again soon!

Ordered a jibarito and yuca fries, very tasty and good flavoring. Yuca fries were cooked perfectly. I tasted some of my friends elote too and that was very delicious as well. It is also a cute place to sit in. Very friendly customer service. Next time, I will like to try a pastry/ dessert.

I missed Chicagos Elote corn, corn on the cob, slathered with mayo, white cheddar cheese and drizzled with cayenne pepper. Found out from a friend that this new coffee shop in Skokie has it in their menu! I cant believe it! In Skokie! The only difference is the corn is not in the cob but grated or maybe corn kernels. Its served in a little cup then topped with mayo, cheese and cayenne pepper. Its good but I can use more corn cos it has a lot cheese. I ordered the jibarito sandwich. My oh my! Its a banana sandwich! No bread but 2 fried green plantains sandwiching a burger patty, tomatoes, lettuce and onion. Its delicious! I have to come back and try their coffee and other foods. The owners are very accommodating. Its a mom and pop store next to Cocomeros.

Every time I come in is closed. I check the hrs online it’s says closes at 6 is 5:30 and it’s closed.I liked this place the first and only time I was able to make it here when open.

This place is a true gem! The environment is great! It’s a perfect place to work from. The music isn’t too loud, chairs are comfortable, coffee is delicious and the food is amazing. The staff is also very friendly. I highly recommend it!

Great food and great Wall Space for modern art to be placed. The Jabirito is amazing with steak or pork and definitely get a fried egg on top. The yucca fries are so good and the elotes too. The coffee is amazing and strong!

I have had delivery from here a few times via one of the delivery apps. Every time its incredible. I tried their fries today for the first time and they managed to turn the same generic freezer fries you get at most places across the city in to perfectly seasoned little potato pillows.

I ordered the steak sandwich I wish it was a bigger portion, but the taste was amazing!!! it was by far the best steak sandwich Ive ever had. I would definitely go back and recommend it to family and friends.

This restaurant claims they have Latin flavors, That was a lie, I ordered a Jibarito, very disappointed, sandwich was soggy and they use salt instead of garlic. It didnt have no flavor and the steak had no seasoning on it. Will not be returning.

This cute little cafe is tucked in between Sofis Beaty Salon and Sweet Zone on Oakton. Their Turmeric Latte is amazing!

Pressed is so adorable and a must see! Ive already been there three times, and ordered the following: egg, cheese, and tomato sandwich (I ordered this twice), tostones (theres some delicious sauce that comes with this, sorry forgot the name its greenish and delicious), cheese danish (theres a Cuban name for it...just cant remember it), drip coffee, hazelnut latte, and their pumpkin patch latte. First of all, I dont know how you could make an egg and cheese sandwich so darn delicious, because its basic, but they did! There coffee is quality. The ambiance is also cool, great décor (clean, friendly, and welcoming), the music is nice (not overbearing and loud like at Starbucks), the staff is super hospitable, and pricing is reasonable. If your a coffee lover, and you want to grab some quality coffee with a unique menu to choose from then give Pressed a try! P.S. they have these cool benches you can just chill at.

Great food and Coffee. I stumbled across this place when looking for a lunch one day by my work and I have gone back multiple times now. The sandwiches are very good and pair that with a hot fresh coffee on a cold fall day and your in business.

Cubano sandwich lacked flavor and the mojo sauce had vinegar in it and thats all I tasted. Not very authentic in my book.

You know, the day of this visit I had actually wanted to visit Euro Echo Cafe, but Euro Echo Cafe was closed due to a filming being in progress at its location. With it being closed, it left me with an open opportunity to visit either Pressed Latino Sandwich Shop and Cafe or Kneads & Wants Artisan Bakery which all three I had identified the night prior of being cafes within the downtown Skokie area.I missed this cafe twice while driving down Oakton St because it does not have a flashy logo that captures the eye. It easily blends in, but thankfully I caught a glimpse of what businesses were near while viewing Yelp pictures shared. FYI, those who are contemplating a visit to Pressed; Pressed sits directly across from Walgreens and right in-between Sofis Beauty Salon and Toni G Salon & Spa.Entering the cafe, other than the art on the wall near the door, there wasnt anything intriguing about its interior at all. It has a hall-like appearance, yet clean and with a decorative dining room style touch, but nothing too flashy; definitely fitting to Skokie. Walking up to the register I was welcomed by Andrea, the employee who took my order. After ordering I got the chance to look around once more prior to taking a seat.As a book reader, the book section plastered along the side-window caught my eye, and I did take a liking to the furniture which was tempting to sit on, but I could not get comfortable due to wanting to sit near the window to watch my car. On that subject, even though I had parked in a 2-hour parking spot during the required time, I had this eerie feeling after noticing a vehicle driving on Oakton St with a driver that had stopped near my car with what appeared to be a note pad writing in it. It had me wondering about the parking spot because the driver had nearly two vehicles of space in-front of them yet they stopped near my car. I did enjoy my meal, but that made me uncomfortable during my visit. There probably wasnt anything to it though, just me being cautious because I had never parked on Oakton St before. The opening of that parking spot took me by surprise because there are several businesses nearby on Oakton. If you have no wishes to drive or you dont drive period, CTA Oakton-Skokie sits literally 200-meters away from the cafe which will eliminate the headache of locating a parking spot during the more busier times of the day.As for the menu, there wasnt a major selection of drinks and sandwiches, but the choices were very-well healthy. I had the taste for something breakfast-like, so my eyes were peeled on the three selections they had: scrambled egg & cheese, scrambled egg, ham & cheese, and scrambled egg, chorizo & cheese, which all appeared the same. I ended up ordering the scrambled egg & cheese w/ a kola champagne. With what is offered on the menu, the cafe appears more like a lunch-style cafe rather than a breakfast-style cafe because its regular sandwiches are more appealing than its breakfast sandwiches. At this moment, there are three selections on the menu that I would love to try which are the cubano, and both the chicken and steak sandwiches.In closing, outside of the uncomfortable parking situation, I had a very pleasant visit at Pressed Latino Sandwich Shop and Cafe. Walked in for the first time today. Restaurants in this spot then to flip a lot recently so I didnt know what to expect. I ordered a Jibarito and a side of fries and it did not disappoint. Im very happy to have this close by as Im only 8mins away for a lunch stop. Will definitely come back to try other sandwiches and espresso. They have quite a selection!!

Chai tea was good, and my Cubano sandwich was one of the best Ive had, but the wait was rather long for the food, however a short wait for coffee and tea though. the food was good, including the fries which were good and not greasy. The atmosphere was comfortable and not too loud to hold a conversation. Id recomend for coffee and tea, but be prepared to wait for food, so get some coffee or tea for the wait.

Authentic Puerto Rican food with a Great Cafe con Leche

I love coming here and ordering a veggie jibarito sandwich, elote (Mexican style corn), a flan dessert and a chai latte with an added shot of espresso. Try it!

The food and service where good very clean and organized nice ambiance, very cozy and reasonably priced easy to get to will definitely come back.

I ordered the steak sandwhich with a choice of it being on plantains or bread and I choose bread. It was very well done. They even use dark green lettuce, not that iceberg stuff. When I went it wasnt very busy as this restaurant is just opening. Parking is available but during busy times could be sparse due to the other business in the area. The staff was friendly, food came quick. They even have a coffee and tea menu. If your from the city you know what elote is, well this place has them. I also ordered one to go and they come in a cup. I would definetly come here again!

This is a bright, modern, and tasty take on Latino sandwiches and coffees. Staff are warm, helpful, and make wonderful food. The yuca fries are great and the vegetarian jibarito was a nice twist on a Puerto Rican standard.
