So I live close to this location and wanted to look at watches so I went here to see what they had. I never go out of my way to write reviews but I feel like these guys deserved it.The place was clean, everyone wore masks, and they were all friendly as I took a look around. Also worth mentioning, there was a patient vibe and they didnt rush me or get pushy.This pandemic sucks and these guys did a great job of making it happen when I came in! Im def going back if I need anything.
My fiance gave me a budget of 15,000. dollars for an engagement ring. He knows how picky I am so he wanted me to pick it out since I will have it the rest of my life. So I stopped by Jared today which is close to me to see what they have. When I walked up to the door it said appointments take priority but if not busy they will take walk ins. I was standing out there with another girl who did have an appointment for a pick up. It was sunny and incredibly hot, so as usual when I am outside I do not wear a mask, especially in heat.After about 15 minutes of waiting outside a lady came to the door and stood behind it to ask what we wanted. She seemed aggravated that we were even there. I told her I was a walk in and there to look at engagement rings. I had a hard time understanding her since she had a mask on, behind the glass door and broken english. She said something to the effect that they were full but wouldnt even talk to me until my mask was all the way up. To me thats going a little to far but whatever. Either way she was incredibly rude. I told her I would not be coming back and she could care less so same here. I do not recommend any place that will treat a potential customer this way. I will be looking else where.

I had a horrible experience dealing with a salesperson/consultant here. She was an older lady. I originally made an appointment online to have a consultation to resize my ring. When I arrived at the store the sales people were hesitant to let me in and when I said that I had an appointment under my name, there was nothing there. I said I had the email for proof but that wasn’t looked at. The sales people were obviously unhappy with the situation and the email I received didn’t have any information about what to bring with me. I was berated with questions about my engagement ring that I didn’t have the answer to because I didn’t buy my own ring. Sorry to state the obvious! They kept asking me if I had “the information” but never specified what exactly? Anyhow, the woman I was dealing with had a demeaning tone and was rude, quite frankly. She walked over to her advisor to speak about my situation and I could hear them saying they couldn’t “deal with me”. That was the worst experience I have EVER had with anyone in customer service and I will surely never step foot in here again - the entire encounter lasted 10 minutes and all I needed was to get my ring resized.
Had such an amazing experience at Jared Skokie! They have made me feel so safe while shopping, and everything was so clean. Amira was such a help, finding all the things I was looking for and making sure all my questions are answered.
Great staff, Jared has a good financing, good selection of jewelry, even though I’m not a jewelry person, once in while I go there for a gift or so. Me and my husband got our rings from here and we always go back to get the polished and they do a great job making them look new. Price is not too high even though they have the shame jewels as other jewelers. I highly recommend looking at their collections.
I called to ask if they had a pandora bracelet because there’s a sale online and the lady, Loretta was very rude. Didn’t even to offer suggests, she quickly said they don’t carry those bracelets anymore.
5 stars all the way. With covid, things have gotten so difficult. My fiance and I headed to Jared as we seen that the store was open online, but had no idea that we needed an appointment. Thankfully, Janice took us anyway. We spent a good hour and a half to two hours picking our pieces. I have to say, Janice was extremely patient and very helpful. She was also funny and made the experience so easy. The store manager, Nahreen, was kind enough to have our pieces sized and ready the same day (although we picked up the next day).When I picked up my diamond I wasnt crazy about the center stone I chose. There wasnt much in stock in store (thanks to covid) and I picked what was available. I called Janice and she told me shed do a search in their vault (online system) and find something Id like better. She called me back right away and I went in the day after to choose. Im so picky it took me a while to choose the stone I wanted. I have to commend both of these ladies for their effort and patience. They are also so knowledgeable and explained everything to me about diamonds as well.They really are doing the best that they can given the circumstances with covid. I am so happy that I was able to work with these two wonderful ladies and that they were able to help me choose the perfect bridal set. I will 100% always go to Janice and Nahreen for all of my jewelry needs.Thank You both for working so hard to make us (me, haha) happy. They really really wanted to be sure that I loved what I ended up with and they put in the work to do so. Thanks so much ladies!!!!
I came into the store with a sizing issue for my girlfriends engagement ring. Rade (Ray) the general manager, was quick to help and assist my needs. Ray provided exceptional customer service. Ray was kind, intelligent, smart and genuine through out the whole process. Because I had such a positive experience, I will continue to go back to this store for future purchases and inquires about jewelry. Highly recommend this place to friends and family who are looking to have a positive experience when shopping for jewelry.
Ron, the sales person who attended to me was professional and had excellent customer service. He was genuinely interested in the customers’ needs, not in driving more sales. In doing so, he gained my loyalty and in the future, I will go to Jared for that customer experience! So it is a win- win for the company and the customer. Thank you, Ron. You are great!
They have some beautiful diamonds. They do setting/repairs on site. I was able to take home my engagement and wedding rings that same day. I recommend this Jared in S.kokie

They did a great job with my engagement ring. I went here for a cleaning per the insurance policy. They fixing the main stone setting and polished it so well! The ring looks better than when I was proposed to 4 months ago! Best service for the Chicagoland area! Went to Schamburg oringally for my engagement ring, got a repair done at the Algonquin location. And nothing beats Skokie Jared location! Will be making all future purchases here! They have great customer service and amazing employees! I couldnt be happier with this place!
Originally purchased an engagement ring with band and loose stone here several years ago, and had a good experience at the time (hence 2 instead of 1 star). However now, 9 years later, the center diamond is cracked even though it was supposed to be very high quality (color D, VVSI, ideal cut). I don’t live in the area any longer and the closest Jared’s is 250 miles away. I called the Skokie store to mention the stone was cracked and had been inspected and confirmed by an affiliate company in my area (which Jared’s originally recommended I go through), and said I needed to talk about warranty coverage. The salesperson was very hostile over the phone and did not ask for a full picture before assuming I did not follow store policy of having it inspected. I don’t really leave reviews but this experience left an awful taste in my mouth. This store needs to work on customer service, and I am very disappointed that a $2,500 diamond would crack with normal wear.
The manager was slick, proposing sweetly that I solve the problem with a solution that cost twice as much as the original purchase. They thought they had me and ordered the solution. When they called to say “my” order was in, I thanked them and informed them that I had found the solution for less than half the price. Customer service is about helping, not cheating, the customer. They don’t get this concept. Avoid
Went to a engagement ring. Picked out nice ring with regular diamond and two blue stones on the sides. Was told that its a blue diamond. Was sold as blue diamond. Came back to resize, turned out to be sapphire. Really?!! Do not trust the staff, they are there to screw people not to provide service. Check everything, demand test results, or whatever is needed for quality control.
Ive made a lot of purchases @ the Skokie location and the service and selections are great! Keep up the good work 5 Stars!

I used to purchase jewelries here but one day when one of the diamonds on my ring lost, they refused to replace it even though I purchased the warranty and checked the jewelries every 6 months. They claimed there was no records that I stopped by to get it checked, when they technically didn’t keep a good record. Another awkward situation, they usually forced customers to open credit card with them. If you still want to purchase jewelry here, make a video that you visit the store in case they don’t make a record of your visit.
Super condescending staff
Worst experience. Asian lady that assisted me for looking an engagement ring was asking me to open a credit card/check my credit in the begining of the conversation. She was showing me pieces whithout asking my taste or asking what I really look for. She litteraly asked me 3-4 times for credit again. I got super enoyed which she realized and passed me to another employee. I would never buy anything from this store.
My husband took me there to get me a Pandora bracelet that Ive been wanting. At first I was kinda mad because one of the sales lady came up to us and asked us if she could help but then turner around and told us to wait because she was going to take care of another customer. Wile we were left just standing there wondering what the heck her problem was. But right when I was just going to leave this other sales lady came and helped us out explained how the Pandora works she was great it would have been perfect if it werent for that first lady. I might go somewhere different for charms because I feelt that she thought we werent going to buy anything. Customers need time to look and what she did was very rude our money was just as good as the next person. Anyhow I love my bracelet.

I went in Saturday for my six-month checkup for my engagement ring. My fiancée and I have been working with Joel since looking at rings over a year and a half ago (who we have learned no longer works here), but we worked with another jeweler who was very friendly and considerate. The jeweler inspected the ring and asked for extra time to have it inspected and worked on due to some stones being loose. We left the ring and returned by the end of the day.When we returned we were greeted by a women with a warm smile who said she was going to get my ring, but before she could another jeweler came over and more or less took over for some reason. This new jeweler attempted a sales pitch for other jewelry even though we just dropped in quickly to get my fiancees engagement ring. When we told the man we were just picking up my ring and had concerns with her engagement ring stones being loose, he told my fiancee, Well you speak English yes? You can make a complaint to our manager Roy and tell him you are not satisfied.We were so taken aback by the abrasive nature of this salesman, and I dont think it was proper or respectful at all for him to make a comment like that or speak to us that way. We have bought the majority of our jewelry (including the engagement ring and our wedding bands) at this location, but our confidence is shaken by employee turnover, concerns with loose engagement ring stones, and the apathetic if not rude and offensive comments of one of their employees Saturday night.I hope that, in the future, more of an effort can be made by employees to show some sympathy when customers have concerns about an engagement ring or other jewelry (especially if they have a lot of meaning to their customers). We fell in love with that ring and want it to last, and its disappointing our concerns were met with borderline hostility from this employee who represents both this store and the Jared/Sterling Jewelers brand.While I find it unlikely we will return to this store after whats happened, I hope their employees can show a little more restraint and compassion with future customers. To that rep we may be just another customer, but to my fiancée and me that engagement ring is an important and sentimental part of our commitment to each other.

This place gave my husband my engagement ring that he ordered with a cubic zirconia and had no idea where the diamond went he ordered. To make it worse they didnt want to make up for it and it didnt say in their computers he ordered one so we didnt get reimbursed. So obviously someone stole the diamond and covered it up. So we had to go to another Jared to fix the problem because this store is absolutely terrible. Do not shop here. Go to the Jared in Joliet or Lombard.

While they may be the only Jared in the area, they dont seem to pride themselves on it. Whenever my wife goes in to get her ring cleaned they are either rude, pretend to not know the deal she has, or they try to tell her that it doesnt need to be cleaned (we have to do it every 6 months to keep the inspection insurance up). Last time they told us we hadnt been in for over a year, so I called the Jared in Oregon that I bought the ring from and they confirmed appointments have been kept up with every six months or so. Just a bad experience whenever we go in. Hopefully that will change.
