I worked with Dennis to buy a car from select auto and he really made me assured that the car would be the one for me. He really stands by the cars he sells and even now a couple months later if I have any questions with the car he works with me and offers his best advice. That is rare to find anywhere. Great place!!

I do not recommend buying a used vehicle from them. Tried many times within my very difficult circumstances to make this ordeal amicable and fair for them and myself. I was sold a car looked pretty, but its performance- non existent, terrible! Didnt work. So now we go to court. An unsafe car, overpriced, a recipe for a disaster. Orig i was told bring the car back for a refund, great. When I said id be there a certain time please have refund avail I was told oh you need to leave it for an inspection??? I had it a few days .I had no other means of trans. Or money to quickly get in another car…forced to drive and leave car and lease a vehicle at a dealership until i rec’d title. I needed a vehicle same day. Due to an ill spouse. I could write further but for the sake of time… I’ll just put a warning out there. Terrible experience. Terrible car, couldve been worked out Dennis refused, victim of a rip off.

Five star car dealer. I bought there a used car and it was as described. The staff there are very friendly, honest and reliable. They made it easy, simple and fast to finish the purchase. I got the registration, inspection and plates on the same day, I just had to wait to get the title mailed (which I was told will take a good month to receive). I’m very happy and satisfied, will definitely recommend to a friend. I will definitely consider this place again when looking for a new vehicle. I don’t believe any negative review, you won’t get disappointed there.

Recently bought a Mercedes Benz C300. the car was in amazing condition a drives excellent. The staff was also very accommodative and responsive when I can to communicating over the phone and browsing through the different cars.

Poor service, sold us a lemon thats been consistently falling apart since we bought it. Only offering minimal to no help most of the time with the issues when they came up. I wouldnt recommend anyone getting a car from there, anyone who brags about selling exotic cars and then lies about no accidents on the Carfax.

I never had such a horrible experience. I will never recommend this place to anyone. Was working with Chris on a car deal and everything was going fine. He had to run it through his boss Denis, who I talked to over the phone and we agreed on a sale. When the bill of sale came I noticed what I thought I was paying was completely wrong so Chris had called Denis. Upon trying to get an explanation on the miscommunication, Denis wouldnt let me get a word in as he screamed over the phone. As he yelled belittling a customer saying listen to me here kid and then dont buy the car all over a simple miscommunication. Had he toned down his voice and explained like a gentleman I would have still bought the car but as a customer I should not be obligated to tell the boss and owner to calm down Im not trying to fight just understand. Stay far away from this place.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I have never in my entire life witnessed somebody yelling at a customer as a deal was being signed. I feel sorry for Chris who has to work under Dennis. Dennis wasn’t even in and was I working with Chris on purchasing a car until there was a miscommunication with the deal and instead of politely explaining where the miscommunication happened Dennis decided to start yelling over the phone. He consistently belittled myself as well as my party. Had he politely explained we probably would’ve bought it anyway but him yelling “then don’t buy the car” was just the icing on the cake to get away from bad dealership. I would suggest staying far away from this car dealership and for anyone reading reviews take a look at the ones that got bad stars and how he interacted with those customer reviews as well.

Bought a car for $10,000 cash from them on 7/6/20, and it’s literally been nothing but problems since day one. I’ve dumped about half that into the car within the past 12 months and I barely drive it, just to work and back which is the next town over from me. Save yourself the money and the headache, because had I saved that $10,000 and the $5,000 I’ve put into it, I could be driving a new car with no issues. Sold me a lemon.

These people know a good car when they see one. The small SUV I bought had the typical mileage for an 06, but it was in great shape. No rust at all. It drives nice. The engine sounds great and everything works as it should. The best part was the price. Way less money than any other dealer. To top it off, what a great crew that was easy to get along with. I will definitely look them up again for my next vehicle.

Recently bought a 07 Rav4 from them on ebay, was the second car I bought from them. The first car I bought from them was an earlier model Rav4, showed up with no surprises. 3-4 years later, I bought another one expecting the same service, but, the 07 Rav4 described as it came with 94 maintenance records no accidents, good tires, looked great car in pix. Showed up with list of issues Im still repairing: damaged drivers side fender with broken bumper cover that was rigged to hold up but was sticking out, the front bumper and fenders had been repainted poorly and looks like they did it in the rain, rusted up transmission dipstick inside the tube-(I replaced it), rusted out muffler-replaced it, 2 out of 5 bad TPMS sensors -(I replaced), no key fob, 12 &14 year old tires that badly needed replacing, ac vent control not working--fixed, license plate bracket had broken off rusted screws in it, couldnt put a plate on it till that was fixed. Looked great, presented great, but showed up with a lot of surprises, beware buying from dealers if you have to have it shipped, they wont tell you the real problems cause after you pay for it, its your problems now. On a positive note, at least the car drives, the car I bought before this showed up with a rod knocking on a 2011 BWM from Tampa Florida also bought on eBay motors.

The staff in the sales office is polite. The sales rep can appear to be juggling a lot at times but he is pretty knowledgeable at what he does. My experience with the service shop was not quite as easy as my purchase.Keep in mind most car dealers are selling you a car that is functional. No more, no less. The condition of the vehicle after that is more so about the previous owner (that you will probably never meet).The vehicle that I purchased from this dealership was adequately balanced between price and condition of the vehicle for year and mileage of it. The vehicle was not advertised as AS IS. I was told that when I got to the dealership.There was a part missing in the vehicle when it was sold to me. I was told the part was on order and that I could still take the car. I was told that I would receive a call when the part was in, which was to be a few days, and they would install it for me at no charge. I waited a week, no call, so I called them. The service manager admitted he forgot about me. A credit for honesty. He said the part had been ordered and that he would call me in a few days when it came in. I waited two weeks and decided to call them. I was told the part was in. I also had an agreement with the service manager that I would bring in my vehicle and wait for the repair to be done so that I could take it home the same day. The manager said that it would be OK if I waited. During my conversation I asked why I had not been called in regards to my part being in. The response I got was, Im telling you now.🤔 So after waiting for a part that, I believe, had I not called about I would not know the part was ever in or if it had been ordered at all. I must admit I lost a little faith in there ability to service the vehicle properly being that a phone call seemed to be a bit much for him. I decided to go and get the part from them myself. My agreement of waiting for the repair turned into drop the car off and pick it up the next day. If I was from the area, maybe. Since I wasnt that meant an hour and a half drive to them, drop off the car, an hour and a half train ride home to repeat the same process the next day for a repair that would take two hours max.🤔 I didnt want to risk them delivering it. Too much miscommunication for me. Overall time frame, 6 weeks.Overall not too bad on a whole, as a dealership, they can do a little better. Otherwise, it gives the impression that theyre more concerned with the sale and nothing else. Id like to give them the benefit of saying thats not the case. I would purchase from them again but I would be leery if I had to deal with servicing at all.

I tried to buy a car from them. Via initial contact on eBay, Dennis was nice enough to quickly email me a Carfax report for the car I was interested in. I replied asking him to call me the next day. He didnt, so I called him to ask questions and promptly got put on hold for a minute. I hung up after waiting for ten minutes. He still hasnt replied to my e-mail or tried calling me back.I cannot comment on the quality of the cars but was unimpressed with the quality of the customer service. I think there is room for Select Auto to improve there.

I had been looking for my midlife mobile all up and down the east coast for months, only to find it 8 miles from my home. I have to admit I was very worried about spending 45k on a Porsche. 911, but Dennis was very forthcoming and cooperative. Of course I paid for a pre purchase inspection. PPI is Always money well spent Not only did he not have a problem with a third party checking out the car, he actually arranged for a shop to provide a lift for the technician. The mech couldnt believe how clean the car was inside and out. He gave the car the thumbs up and I cant stop smiling when I drive it. Dennis and his crew are top notch and Id recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable vehicle.

Don’t buy anything from Dennis. We bought a Jeep for my daughter that was advertised as having both a soft and hard top along with cruise control. The Jeep was shipped to us in Indiana with no soft top and did not have cruise control. We had at least 15 texts with Dennis where he would say the soft top was shipped, but it never was. He kept lying until it was passed the 60 day eBay window to dispute. Well lucky for us eBay is now going to be looking into it and we have filed a complaint with the BBB. He never could explain why it was advertised with cruise control. He refuses to cover the cost of the soft top. He offered $200, which doesn’t come close. Stay far away!!

I purchased a car from Dennis at Select Auto. He sent me a bill of sale and took a $500 deposit from me. Two days later, after arranging for pickup, I received a one sentence email stating that someone had already taken a deposit on the car and that he was cancelling my sale. How much do you want to bet the other buyer just happened to be willing to pay more than me? Poor ethics. I dont need to buy any car from a dealer with these tactics.

Came across this dealer on a fluke via CarGurus website. I had been searching for a Jeep Liberty for 6 months when suddenly a beautiful one popped up for an extremely reasonable price on their inventory list. I think there is a natural wary feeling when buying a used car but from the moment we contacted select auto, it was nothing but kindness. Chris and John made the process so simple and were so honest about the vehicle. Drove away in the vehicle the next day. Was in contact with Dennis the owner a few times due to some simple things that needed to be fixed on the vehicle and he was very generous and professional. I will recommend this business to anyone looking for a used car who wants to feel confident in their purchase.

The one word I can sum this place up in is...integrity. Dennis flat out does what he says hes going to do. For anyone. I purchased his car online half way across the country. So, there was really no need for him to acquiesce any issues or concerns I had other than it being the right thing to do. And, he did. He was fair. He was helpful(even when it wasnt his fault. Annoying shippers). I honestly wish he were more local to me so I could happily send him business. But, for now, all I can do is blast the internet with how helpful he made the process. We recently purchased a Honda Fit off Ebay from Select Auto. When purchasing a car online and out of state, you are always taking a risk but we lucked out. (We purchased the Carfax prior to deciding.) This is our daughters first car (which she saved for) and we ended up making a deal with Dennis before the auction ended. He was helpful, responsive and reasonable. My daughter couldnt be happier and we hope this Honda will last her for many years!

Read entire review as I updated it after the response below. After reading other experiences/reviews with Dennis, I had the same one. I was in contact contact with him. I told him I was calling him back to put a deposit on the vehicle. Within 3 hours he went back on the offer I made and sold the vehicle. I also sent multiple emails to Dennis. His response was I cannot police my computer. Obviously the tactic here is even if they accept your offer and they get a higher one, they dont honor it. Not a reputable way to conduct business. Update - if I am the liar, check out the BBB rating and customer complaints about this dealer. I am glad I didnt not but the car from this dishonest establishment. The reason I didnt buy it is because I was lied to that the car was sold because Dennis realized he could get more money. Dont believe a word this guy says. In fact he put the 2015 Lexus back on line after telling me it sold and he adjusted the mileage from what it was a day earlier.

My experience with Select Auto was excellent. I purchased a low-mileage 1994 Chevrolet Corvette that I am very happy with. The description that was posted online was accurate and I appreciate the care Select Auto took in sourcing a great vehicle, in prepping it so it was ready to be driven upon delivery and handling the transaction with a high degree of professionalism.Dennis communicated all the details whenever I requested them and also arranged to have the vehicle shipped from Long Island to my home in Virginia. The car arrived quickly and the handoff between Select Auto and the transport company was flawless!The car I bought is nearly 25 years old - so I know that I will perform some maintenance and upgrades as I drive it, but Im thrilled to have acquired such an outstanding example of this vehicle. I would do business with Dennis and Select Auto again in the future.

Dennis and his staff are not salesman. They are just in the business of selling cars. If you have ever been to a used car dealership before, you know that is a very good thing!I called Dennis to schedule seeing a truck Id seen online. The truck was described exactly as the way it was in person (very good condition, few small dings, everything functions at first glance). Chris (I believe was his name) was the staff member who showed me the truck, which are all parked securely in a lot across the street. Chris never tried to sell me on this truck! That is a good thing. If youve ever been to a used dealership all you here is this car is perfect, this car has all highway miles, this truck was my uncles and he only used it to go to church. Thats all bs and always made me think twice when you hear this from someone. But Chris never said anything like that. What a relief. The only complaints I had were1-tires were worn unevenly from one tire to the next, I explained this to Dennis and he Glady said he would have like new or new tires all of the same brand put on. He said he wouldnt want any car leaving the lot with two worn tires and two new tires. I believe he meant this as all the other cars he had on the lot had in new like tires on them.2- Because of covid the staff arent allowed to go in the car with you and the test drive could only be done in the lot.I put down a deposit that day and had plates on it with new tires two days later. 5 minutes into my drive home (as soon as I got on highway) with the truck I noticed a very strange sound from the rear. Called Dennis and explained the situation. He said bring truck in and with have it taken care of. Long story short he rebuilt the rear end at no cost! Now had I had the truck for a few days and then had this same situation I would expect to be responsible for this repair as cars are sold as is, but just to know that you have an honest person to deal with is truly priceless!! Any other dealership wouldve said your out of luck, sold as is, but not Dennis. I have a few friends in the market for a car within the next couple of months and Ill be sure to be sending them his way, As well Ill be purchasing a truck for my daughter next year from him. Unlike other salespeople, Chris was not pushy at all. The other salespeople will keep calling you, pushing you to buy the car, manipulate you but Chris is just telling you what the deal is, what the payment options are and gives you information about the car. I was there to see the 2012 Honda Crv and Chris helped me with the car. Even though I decided to see other cars besides Honda, he was pretty nice and understanding. This is why I highly recommend this place to everyone. Go there, find Chris or Dennis, and you won’t have a hard time.

Purchased a car with “no problems”. Flew from KY. Drove home. Had cracked wheel, bad headlight module, and tire pressure sensor needed to be repaired. Paperwork that I asked for was a pain to get and it was required by my state. Car was a fair price but not when you include the repairs required. Cover for OBD was off so someone had probably been clearing codes.

They make everything so easy! Great communication and speedy responses. They sell great cars. Definitely would recommend!!!

They never sent my title to to me. The car run great. Can honestly say they sell really nice cars. But never received title. Had to file charges of theft by Deception and also file charges of obtaining money under false pretenses. My local police department is having a field day with this because I live in Ohio and had to drive to New York to buy the car.

Well first off I came from 1100 miles away to get a truck, I was told the truck wad in great shape, no rust, ready to go. I flew in, spent the night, then arrived first thing in the morning. I had a long drive ahead of me. After finding the truck, it was in very poor shape ti say the least. Tire were bald, one had wires hanging out. The windshield wipers are almost gone and had scratch the windshield for my having no blade on the arm. I can go on and on about this vehicle it had lots of rust underneath it so he Dennis lied about that, so I take my advice do not buy a vehicle from him or you’ll end up spending a lot of money on it to make it right if it if that’s possible.

Be careful! These guys are selling cars on EBAY that have been in accidents and have some various issues. Always do an Auto Check first. They also don’t respond to questions about what service has been done on the car. These cars are sold as is so buyer beware.

I gave him a deposit he gave me 2 weeks so we could figure out financing or just to buy cash . Because it was between new years day . We came down paid him . I had been looking for a fairly priced and good Honda Civic. Was spending hours a day checking on CarGurus, AutoTrader, Carvana, etc. for a little over a month straight. When I saw the Honda Civic EX posted I was a little skeptical because of how well it was priced at. What is the loss of going to check it out I thought. I reached out to them by phone and spoke with Chris. I asked to see and test drive the car along with the CarFax. He said sure thing, he was more than willing to be flexible and work around my difficult availability. I came down and checked everything inside the car for a 2012 it was in beautiful shape. I drove it around and it felt great. Afterwords I only had 1 more minor stipulation and that was that the car get checked out by my mechanic. I was pleasantly surprised when I was asked when my mechanic was available to have the car dropped off. The next day it was at my mechanics. I got the thumbs up from him and I put a deposit down on the vehicle that night.As a young guy I had a very limited understanding of the whole process, I had many questions and wanted to fully understand the material and paperwork and Chris was happy to walk me thru it. After about one hour maybe two I had signed all the papers, finished up the insurance and was confident about my decision. No pushy sales tactics or feeling obliged to do this or that. What you see is what you get attitude. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a used car.

Select Auto is a business that scams customers out of their money. They are dishonest about the condition of the car and will do anything to make a sell. Before you know it, you are stuck with a car with a list of repairs.Save yourself the time and trouble and go to a credible and reputable honest dealership. They sale cars on eBay they are damaged and need a laundry list of repairs. Please see the BBB complaints filed against them.

This place is total trash, they lie about the condition of cars and downright sell dangerous vehicles missing alot of maintenance. I grabbed a 4runner from this place that I bought out of town and had shipped to me, it didnt have functioning brakes, paint was completely totaled and fluids leaking from everywhere. My fault for using Ebay to buy a truck, that wont happen again. Avoid this place like the plague, they are pure trash. If I am ever in the area I plan to stop by and talk to them face to face about my issues, as they stopped take phone calls once the sale was done. Run!

Edit: Ok, there was some misunderstanding of refunding transaction. After some communication I believe it would work well.They said deposit is refundable, but it has been a week since they said they are “doing” it.
