I purchased my current vehicle originally from Eastside Auto Sales who I happen to love so much that I am currently on my second vehicle purchase through them. Unfortunately, due to business needs, they had to sell my note to Camilas Auto Sales. Which is perfectly fine. Business is business. I understand and have no problem with it. Eastside Auto Sales immediately made me aware of this change. When Camila Auto took over my car loan I was exactly 1 week behind on my loan. I tried for several days to get in contact with Camilas Auto to notify them of my intent to pay late. I would be paying the two months together by a certain date. Unfortunately, I had difficulty reaching someone. When I finally reached someone by the name of Nayeli I informed her of my situation. I told her that due to Covid19 I was running a bit behind but I did let her know it would pay by a specific date. Nayeli who claims to be the owner proceeds to tell me that it should be no problem and I should just call her to make the payment over the phone on the day we agreed. Now, Im about 3 payments away from paying off this loan but due to Covid19, I had a little setback. On the exact day that I am supposed to call in to make my payment, my car goes missing. I figured it was stolen. Didnt suspect that it had been taken by repo. I call the police at 5 am. There had been no report of a repo for my car so the officer proceeds to report it as stolen. I call Camilas Auto at 9 in the morning to pay my past due amount as agreed. At this moment I ask if she had my vehicle picked up (which I figured she would say no) but instead she starts giving me the tow company phone and address. I was so disappointed. What happened to helping the client through this Covid19 Crisis? Only 2 months into her owning my loan note and she has my car repossessed. And not once did she call me or left a voicemail. She never mentioned to me when I spoke to her that I was at risk of having my car picked up if I didnt pay by a certain date. I had to drive across town and pay 200 dollars to have my car released. Money could have used to pay down my loan. This could have been 100% avoided. No apology, no accountability and just to add insult to injury she advised me to contact the tow company if I wanted to seek compensation of any kind. The tow company didnt tell me I would be ok if I paid by a certain day. Needless to say that I will never do business with this car dealership nor will I refer anyone to this business.
My car was towed after making arrangements over the phone to make my payment on a certain day. Never was I told this could happen. It cost me a large amount of money to take out of tow yard and I had to miss work. Stay away from this business.
Serious lack of accountability. No communication with their clients.
