Do not go here. Last spring I bought tires from Midway and was told they were all season. Today the first snow came and I can tell you right now that if these were all season I wouldnt be sliding as bad or having such a hard time accelerating. They were overpriced, and obviously arent what I was told I was purchasing. On top of it, the customer service was rather rude. Now Ive got to buy a set of winter tires when I wasnt expecting to have to. They arent an honest business, go ahead and read the reviews before mine.

I did not have a good experience with Midway Auto. We agreed on a van rental, I told them the day we need the van at the airport and the day we will get back. We agreed verbally for a high top van @ $275.00 a day. They sent a contract to me and it had on extra charges on, over $600.00 more that what they told me. I left it go and went ahead and signed the contract. I paid with credit card. Everything went good until 2 days before we returned the van. they called and said they need another days rent.THEY WENT AND CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD WITHOUT ME AUTHORIZING IT.I sent them an email and they did not respond.I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THEM ( GET EVERTHING IN WRITING)

Very good service. I got a good car worth what I paid for and they even let me rent a car while I was waiting to get it fixed. You have to work with them though, communicate, and be realistic about your expectations however. It took more patience and frustration than buying a new car but it was worth it.

I needed a rental car while my truck was in the shop and I rented a mid-size car from Midway Auto. I know rental cars are currently scarce but I was surprised that the mid-size car was a 2012 Ford Focus with close to 100,000 miles on it. I was also shocked that the the rate for this POS was $150.00 per day (($169.00 per day including taxes). The car smelled like a fish chum factory and had a brake light fault upon start up. About 30 miles from Soldotna, while driving 55 MPH, the left front brake caliper locked up almost forcing me into oncoming traffic. After stopping, I pumped the brake pedal a few times and the caliper released. This happened two additional times. Several pieces of trim kept falling off. The AC worked marginally and the rear windows would not go down. The front passenger seat was locked all the way back and could not be adjusted. On the way to return the car, the check engine light came on. I provided this information to the individual when I returned the car.The kicker was when I asked for a ride to the dealership to get my truck, I was told there would be a $25.00 charge. I had just paid $1,255.00 for an 8 day rental for a car with current value of around $3,000.00 and Midway Auto wanted to charge me $25.00 for a 10 mile ride. I called a cab and will never do business with this firm again.

I am a single mother of three recovering from a serious accident and Art from Midway Auto took advantage of my unfortunate situation.I was in a serious car accident and as a result my vehicle was totaled. Unfortunately, Midway Auto was the only place that had rentals. I found several other rental companies later but I already had a vehicle from Art with Midway. From the get go, he was telling me how to work my insurance company to pay him more money than what my policy said. I declined because I will not ever take part in fraud.Fast forward to 2 weeks later. I returned the rental on Friday because it was due by Saturday.Art called me and was screaming at me. He said that I brought it back without gas and it was dirty. I tried to apologize for that and he became angrier and yelled at me more to say, “don’t tell me how to run my business. I am not checking in the car until you come and clean it and put gas in it” I tried to tell him that as a single mother of 3 kids and that I am still recovering from the accident and I asked him to please take it out of the $75 that he owed me (I had paid in advance). He said that he will keep charging me until I come back and do what he says with some very disrespectful words. When I got to Midway on Saturday, I picked it up and put gas in it. I took photos of the condition that I left it in. I asked the cashier to give me a receipt for returning it. The cashier said no and that he doesn’t know how to give me a receipt. I asked him if he could verify the gas and clean condition. He said that the vehicle looked great yesterday and that he doesn’t understand why Art was that way and that Art was mad about 3 other rentals that somebody else returned beat up and that Art took it out on me.This is not fair that Art from Midway Auto fraudulently charged my insurance company and refused to refund my money that a prepaid. The gas was $27 and he could have taken it out of the $75 that he owed me.I am a single mother of three recovering from a serious accident and Art from Midway Auto took advantage of my unfortunate situation.

I have bought two different vehicles from Midway Auto, regardless of my lack of credit, the owner worked with me the first time, gave me a chance and trusted me, I bought and paid off the first vehicle, a Jeep Cherokee that ran til almost 350k miles in GREAT shape and I only got rid of it because someone hit my husband in Anchorage and the car was totaled. The second vehicle was also and is STILL also in fantastic shape we bought and paid off and thanks to MIDWAY AUTO and Mr. ART trusting in me, now I built up my credit. RECOMMEND 100% . We moved to Texas and still have the second vehicle we bought from ART.

I have never heard anything about midway before good or bad, so I thought I’d try them out. I went in to look at an suv. I recently bought another one a couple months ago from another dealership and I’m just not comfortable with how it handles. I was well aware that I would lose money trading in so soon and there would be a carryover amount to be financed. They asked what I had left on my finance amount and when I told them they just refused to work with me at all stating that someone would be out 7k and it wasn’t going to be them. (6k was carried over from my last trade in so I’d only be losing 1k on this vehicle) Well no ***t. I never expected anyone other than me to deal with that extra amount. They didn’t bother asking if I understood there would be a carryover amount in addition to the purchase price, just assumed I had no idea what the hell I was doing.... one of my pet peeves. Ask people if they understand something instead of assuming they don’t. Anyways they had the one I was interested in in the garage after changing the radiator and said my mechanics would know about the issue if I mentioned it to them. Well I looked it up myself and they did me a favor. Regardless of whether the radiator is replaced or not if the radiator fluid has already leaked into the transmission, the transmission will fail without warning on three different models of 05-10 Nissan auto transmission suvs. I mentioned if the Nissan wouldn’t work I was interested in another suv on the lot. I was told the brakes needed to be replaced.🙄. The Nissan I was looking at was $1,000 over the nada price with a soon to fail transmission and the other suv I was looking at was only $200 below nada price.... both with issues. After I stated I was aware of the 7k difference in trade in value they were more than happy to sell me something tomorrow, but I won’t be back. Seriously, if you’re in any type of sales business always ask questions, if you don’t think a buyer understands. Don’t assume people don’t know anything. It’s rude.
