You guys say youre hiring and make it look like youre desperate, but when people apply and call and check in on their application for WEEKS its always well get it when we get to it. yeah we havent gotten an application yet. yeah our hiring manager is on vacation just take the signs down so people dont assume youre desperate when in reality you dont actually plan on hiring anyone.

Excellent Safeway! Very clean, well organized, great selection of meats and produce. A perfect alternative to fighting crowds and traffic at the Fred Meyer across town.

A decently large store with a good selection. Youll have to ask someone else about the quality of service, I never pay attention to it, and indeed much prefer shopping trips where you can just serve yourself. In that regard, the store has an intuitive layout with well sign-labeled aisles.

Good produce selection. Good meat department. Safeway store brand items are decent compared to other big chain store brands. Check the Safeway app for discounts, especially when there’s a “spend ____ and get ___ gas discount.”

It would be nice if the night crew actually knew what they were doing when it comes to gift cards and game cards and other things like that

Visiting my family in Alaska. Always a good place to get familiar items and some things specific to the 49th state.

Needed a pharmacy over the holiday weekend. I had just had an operation and the hospital sent my RX to a pharmacy that was not open for 2 days. I called Safeway pharmacy and they arranged to get me my prescriptions. When I got there, my mess were ready. It doesnt get any better than that. Thank you. If not for you I would have had to go 3 days without needed post-op meds.

Customer service staff are so helpful. Have gone out of their way see if something is in stock on more than one occasion.

You need more cashiers one cashier for the whole store is bullcrap

While Im glad that Soldotna, Alaska has a Safeway store, I believe its time for a much needed remodel. Kenai, Alaska Safeway store was remodeled a couple years ago and its so nice. I doubt Im alone hoping for a much larger, brighter and newer place to shop.

Great store, great service, unlike their counterparts, Kenai safeway, which all ways seems. As if theyre in a hurry, I always remind too slow down, take a breath, you get paid by the hour, and this store, will already have some hired, before youre obituary hits the paper. So relax, my milk isnt gonna spoil sitting in the cart, while you help the next person.

Great shopping, love the deli

There prices have improved and now are more in line with other local major grocery stores. Sale items can now beat some of there competition prices. I use there app and down load coupons to get best prices.

I am very happy with the new Safeway app. I am excited everytime I go because Ive always saved 20 to 75 dollars! The employees are always friendly and helpful.

The store is a typical Safeway. Finished shopping for groceries and intended to buy cocktail fixings at their liquor store. As I approached the door the employee was leaving and the store was closed down, even though it was not yet 11:00 PM. The employee recommended another liquor store several miles down the road, in the direction opposite of which I was headed. Needless to say, the extra trip had a cost in both gas and time. This was frustrating at the late hour and added to fatigue of what was already a long day on the road. So be aware that this part of the store may or may not be open during posted hours, as employees seem to decide about whether or not the posted hours for opening and closing are accurate. Id get there at least 10 minutes prior to posted closing time if you expect it to be open still.

Nice store and pleasant, helpful employees. Thank you Stella and the nice woman that bags with glasses(I am embarrassed to say I forgot her name). Also Lance, Toby and the young woman that works in the Pharmacy (thank you for the flu shot, I didn’t even feel).

I tend to go shopping at night, when the place is a ghost town and there is a wonderful lady who always keeps her eye out to watch for customers and makes sure to rush back to the counter when stocking a shelf. Its a nice change, seeings how any other time I go in and she isnt working, I always have to go looking for the cashier and then wait for them to mosey on over just to be treated like they really hate their job.

This is where I buy my groceries. Their food is the freshest you can get in Alaska. The staff is family friendly and treat you as family. The staff really try to work with you. In fact, they didnt have something I needed so they called Fred Meyers if they had it. They are so nice. I left my wallet in the bathroom and one of the employees took it to customer service. Obviously, I got it back. Their products are top notch and their service is phenomenal. They also have a pharmacy and the pharmacists are honest with you. They dont try to get more money out of you. Hands down, the best store in Alaska.

Safeway is well safeway. Everything you need as far as food goes in a small town. Also has a prompt pharmacy.

During the day this place is great. I mean, unless you don’t like the idea of occasionally getting stopped by a random church goer to be asked about your faith in “our lord and savior”. But that’s nothing compared to the people you’ll run into after 8pm. One word, crackheads.

My favorite grocer on the Peninsula. Managers are responsive, meat guys really know their stuff, ..not any employee turn over, so that speaks highly. Often their competitors have better prices, but the advantage is that at this Safeway you never have to go hunting for something because they do not shift their products around to hide them to cause you to stay in their store longer. Their store is lined out well. Bathroom is clean too! Best sales are always on Friday morning

Quiet in store this evening, no one offered help while my son and I were at deli island then trying to find a good lotion we had to of been down that aisles for 25min went to use their self check out the lady gave eye contact then continud to have conversation with liquor store clerk and clerks husband maybe boyfriend all the while my son and I rang up our groceries. So not greeting or departure words were spoken I took my lotion out and put a lil too much in my hand.which made me Yelp from shock this alerted the male outside parcel at the time as we were leaving Starbucks side of store. The young man just kept scowling at us so I in turn retorted dont worry its just lotion. His response was okay, not what I was concerned about though. Hmmmmm didnt care for the whole interaction!!!!!!

Was fun, found a nice head of lettuce and a nice can of tomatoes n chilis for my taco salad..mmmm GOOD

My preferred grocery stop in the central peninsula. Only Save-U-more is as much fun.

Great store, newly remodeled, has all the amenities u would expect.. Plus a very consistent Starbucks located inside the store. There are 2 DVD Express boxes available to rent movies as well..

I was able to find my items quickly. There were only two cashiers when I get ready to pay. It took about 5 minutes for them to call an additional cashier up since there were atleast 4 people in both lines, but really fast after that.

This particular Safeway is unlike any other I have visited. The environment is very calming and peaceful with the dimmed lighting. The staff has always been very helpful and accommodating when it comes to ordering from the deli and/or bakery departments.

Safeway deli fried rice way under cooked. Still crunchy. Chunks of Taso chicken and sweet and sour chicken chunks are very large. No sour just sweet, Safeway Chinese not even on the food list for ratings this week.

Night time parking lot lighting feels scary

Good place to shop i spend alot of my money here every month its where i buy my Groceries, & other items there sometimes also.And i like 5.00 Fridays too.

The meat and deli counters at this store, are less than desirable. The meat counter needs a bell or buzzer so they know a customer is at the counter.

Its your average Safeway that has the thought in mind of where we live and what basic necessities we need to survive without the weapons. If you have a recipe that calls for mozzarella they will have it, but not goat cheese without hormones organic and only comes from Switzerland.I personally drink organic milk because my doctor told me that it can prevent ovarian cancer which 7 women on my mothers side died of and safeway has a stockpile of it. They have a decent variety of organic stuff, but youre not going to find oddball things just because the cost of it getting to here would be so high that nobody will buy it here. You have to keep in mind of the distance from production point to store.

Salad bar is usually depleted. Wings are seldom stocked. Very poor selection of health supplies. Pharmacy is the best department in the store.

Meat was a little pricey. Butter eggs and veg were decent price. Meat and veg were fresh
