Paul is a bakery with some light eats. Their baked goods is definitely worth trying. The hot foods is a mixed basket. Its not the best but will definitely pass for a decent bite if you need something other than a tart to go with your coffee. The vibe of this cafe tho is very cute and open. Its a decent space to work with a. Few outlets, I would suggest catching up with friends here or crunching out some light reading or writing if you can deal with some music in the background.

PAUL is a nice cozy little bakery/pastry shop/cafe. It’s obvious they take pride in their work and have a passion for bread. Everything they offer has a beautiful touch and visually appealing. The pastries we ordered were eaten with pleasure, and was very delicious. The staff we interacted with were very friendly. We will be back to PAUL next time we’re at Assembly and want a delicious pastry. - September 2019

We enjoyed the French aura here. It was very unique to the area and I haven’t been to many places like that, especially in New England. The iced coffee was cold and tasted just-made. I enjoyed my fresh bread with the caprese sandwich.

I love Paul bakery. This location is nice area and has beautiful outdoor seating in Summer. My comment is only on the level of cleanness there. The restrooms are not clean most of time. Plates, mugs and silverware are not that clean. But they have nice pastries and great staff.

I still go mmmm when I think about their eggs benedict! 😋 great place - cozy, with nice employees and good food! They have pre made deserts and sandwiches - I always head there for eggs benedict! With its great location you can go around and shop a lot and sometime in between head in paul to get some food!

Great decor and general ambiance. I really enjoyed the food here but I admit as others have commented, the service is slow. I visited the location twice while in Boston as I just liked the vibe. Wait was too long, chairs cozy and it was a little taste of Paris. Croissant and tarted are very good. Reminded me of my days in France.

PAUL is a place I frequent a lot. I love the food here and the atmosphere. The employees are always kind and helpful. I had their tuna and smoke salmon sandwich which are both delicious but the tuna is my favorite. I also their salmon and leek croquet monsieur. Its delicious and comes with a herb salad in a vinaigrette dressing. The desserts are amazing and dont forget to try the bread, its the best around.

Last night, we went for a coffee at this location and got very disappointed. We ordered 2 small Vanilla lattes and 5 donuts with chocolate. 10 minutes later we had to remind waiter that we are still waiting for a coffee. He got confused and brought us two big vanilla lattes. This would not be a problem if he didnt bring us coffee that was only sugar and vanilla syrup with milk, barely could taste a coffee. One of the reason I like to order a small coffee is because it is stronger. And not to mention that we got coffee that was spilled on the side. 5 min later we just left the place. I like this place, but please fix this.

I was very impressed with my first visit to Paul Bakery. The atmosphere was warmly lit and uniquely decorated. The customer service was very nice and friendly at every step from taking my order to bringing it to me at the very comfortable table I chose. I ordered the complete breakfast and found it to be quite tasty. The eggs were light and fluffy. The accompanying greens were lightly coated in a very flavorful dressing that complimented the rest of the dish. I chose the orange jam for my bread, and with a little bit of butter, was superb! The coffee and fresh orange juice were also quite good. Overall I was thrilled with my experience here and I can’t wait to return soon!

We like this place. Its a mix between a coffee shop and a bakery. We order a vanilla latte, a regular coffee and a lemon meringue tart treat. The vanilla latte was tasty with a good consistency. The lemon meringue was delicious that looked and tasted like a treat from one of the North End bakeries with an appropriate amount of richness for a small treat. The service was very friendly and the pricing was on par for the meringue. The place had a nice lounge-like atmosphere to it. Well definitely come back!

My experience here has been pretty inconsistent. I am inclined to give 4 stars for food & 2 stars for staff/customer service. My first visit around the time it opened was great all around. Overall, not a bad place to grab a cup of coffee with friends or light meals if staffs are in a good mood.

Cozy coffee shop for a nice break while visiting assembly row, much better pastry and tarts then the other coffee shops in the area. I really enjoyed my lunch here. Had a french onion soup and roll. My girlfriend had a vegetable quiche. For desert we shared a chocolate croissant. The ambiance is really nice here as well. My only issue with the place is we ordered all our food together, yet my soup came out asap and then we had to wait 20 minutes for my girlfriends quiche to come out. Every place Ive been to eat, the food comes out together. Next time, Ill make sure to request this.

Came in here after a friend from NYC told me they are wildly popular in Paris. Found out this is the only location in the states (as well as the Natick Mall) so wanted to try a few things to see what the fuss was about. I got some olive bread which was excellent. Both flavorful and great texture. The olives added a good tang to the bread as well. I also tried the elephant ear which also was pretty good. I will def try more of their breads in the future.

Inconsistent! One day the coffee is fresh and delicious, the next it’s not and bitter. The same goes for the pastries (almond and almond/chocolate croissants especially): one day perfectly cooked and excellent and another undercooked/soggy. If done right all the time, Paul is unbeatable in terms of quality, choice and taste. I drive 30 mins to get there (used to go to the Paul at Natick daily which unfortunately closed down) but I won’t any more - especially when you have to pay parking on top of traffic and what not.

Admittedly high quality food, but prices are outrageous. $6 for a small eclair and the staff is annoyed and pretentious if they think you a commoner. Having never been to a higher end bakery, i asked a few questions, and each time the guy behind the counter would just annoyedly point at a sign describing the pastry. When he asked what i wanted, and i said i was still deciding, he visibly sighed and walked away.

I am sitting here now and not exactly pleased. I went inside to order and was told 15 mins for order to come out- fine but can I have the coffee first? Sure so I was waiting and was told to sit down and it would be broughtto me. Went outside all the tables wobbled and while cleared they were all dirty. Within 2 minutes the coffee came out BUT now I had to carry it back inside for cream and sugar. Why could I have not just waited in the first place? Then the food comes, the onion and extra cheese omelet had very little cheese but was tasty, but it was served with no silverware, napkins, or condiments? Really? Will think twice before going there again. What’s the old adage come for the food but comeback for the service
