Breakfast bagels were pretty good loved the different varieties available as far as bagels & donuts. The place was pretty busy but wait time wasn’t too bad. Choice to have egg whites was also another plus, made it easier to pick out exactly what I wanted. Overall pretty good in terms of choices and on the go breakfast sandwich or if you are just in the mood for some donuts they also have plenty.

Beware - check your credit card or grubhub account after leaving here. They may have added an extra charge for no reason (which is just stealing). If you try to call or message them on social media, they will ignore you and youll be left to fight for your money back.Horrible business practice to just steal from paying customers then ignore them.As for the food, the bagels were good (not great). Coffee was like free hotel coffee (fine but expensive for what it was). The cream cheese tastes like old brick cream cheese they whipped up to pretend it was fresh. Donuts are so bone dry our family of sweet lovers threw them out.Really not worth it.

Good breakfast sandwiches and nice staff. Always real eggs freshly cooked. Takes a while to get food, but you can only for so many people in the little kitchen moving 100 miles an hour whipping up sandwiches for a huge line of people. Good donuts, my fave is blueberry, I personally prefer their cake donuts. A few small tables outside during the warmer months, upstairs seating all year round.Their bathroom isn’t owned by them, but by building management so if they run out of toilet paper there isn’t anything they can do.

Review №18

The donuts are large and fluffy, as are the bagels. The cream cheese portions are generous, and the breakfast sandwiches are good quality. Unfortunately, the kitchen is extremely slow. If you’re ordering a donut, there’s no wait and no problem, but if you’re ordering a a bagel, expect to wait 10-20 minutes for cream cheese or a breakfast bagel. This causes the line to back up as well, so you may end up waiting 20 minutes to order, and 20 minutes for the food, and the bagels aren’t worth the 40 minute wait. You’re better off just getting a dozen to go or sticking to donuts

I ordered bagels from Davis Square and they were delicious! Soft on the inside and chewy on the inside, they are everything a bagel should be. They are also quite generously portioned while being reasonably priced. They also make a really yummy bacon and scallion cream cheese spread. Summary: Mediocre, flavorless bagel sandwich and donutDETAILSFood/beverage: What I ate - a turkey/bacon bagel sandwich and chocolate butternut crunch donut. Both the sandwich and donut suffered from lack of flavor. The bagel was slightly better than a Dunkin Donuts bagel. It had a slightly chewy exterior and a firm, bready interior and even though it was an everything bagel it barely had any flavor. The donut didn’t taste like there was any chocolate in it – I would simply describe it as sweet. I peeked in the kitchen and figured out why the donut was so flavorless – they use pre-made mixes. These are not homemade donuts. They are made on-site, but they are made using industrial mixes.Service: Indifferent cashiers but not actively unfriendlyPrice/value: Inexpensive, but I’d rather pay more for higher quality foodPhysical space/ambience: The interior features slightly awkward seating areas with little natural light. Though the walls are brightly colored, the lack of other interior decorations in the seating areas leaves the place feeling sterile. The venting system isn’t great either as the air was a bit stale and smoky from the griddle. I can still smell the place on me as I write this from home.

By the time we got there (around 2PM on a Sunday), they had sold out of every donut flavor except chocolate glazed and butter crunch. Both were huge, really dense, cakey, and moist. Definitely preferred the chocolate glazed, though— it wasn’t overly sweet and didn’t taste like artificial chocolate at all. The butter crunch was okay, it had the most left over donuts in the shop and wasn’t anything special. I wish I could go back and try the other flavors!

Our new go-to bagel and donut place! We went around 11:30 on a Sunday and there was a line out the door (to be expected as they are limiting the number of people inside due to Covid) but the line moves fairly quickly. We get there and each order a lox sandwich on an everything bagel with chive cream cheese (yum!). We also wanted a donut and they only had one type ready but fortunately for us it was a powdered donut stuffed with Nutella! The lox sandwich was delicious with a fresh bagel with tons of cream cheese and some lox, tomato, red onions, and capers. The donut was OOZING with Nutella and it made quite the mess because of the powdered sugar but thats a powdered donut for ya! I cant wait to go back and try more things. The staff was friendly and they had great covid procedures so I was really happy to see how busy they were. They deserve it!

It was our first time here. Our first indication should’ve been the locals bringing Starbucks coffee to the line instead of waiting on the shops. The line is long and around the corner (we came on a Saturday morning) and based on all the reviews we were anxious to try. The bagels were not good, they weren’t really fresh, very bland(I had the everything bagel) and the insides weren’t fluffy. The donuts were dense with no fluff and the coffee was awful. We tried but we had better experiences other places in boston. The only good thing I’ll say is our cashier was very friendly and helpful!

Go here. Everything is absolutely incredible. From the donuts, to the bagels with cream cheese, to the breakfast sandwiches. Their classic donuts are amazing but so are their newer creations. Best of both worlds (particularly love the original glazed and blueberry cake). Bagels are also seasoned on both sides as opposed to just the top half (i.e. everything bagels). I’ve waited in a 15 person deep line and ordered within minutes.

I was heartbroken when Vernas closed a few years ago but am happy to report that at this place the donuts are almost as good, alongside really delicious bagel sammies as well! I came here at 9am on a Saturday and ordered two donuts--the butternut crunch and the Somerville cream (strawberry cream cheese and marshmallow fluff)--as well as the spicy sausage, egg, and cheese on an Asiago bagel. It took around 10 minutes for me to get my order (there was a line) and boy was it worth it! The cake donut was light, crumbly, and full of flavor without being oily, and the yeast Somerville cream donut was dense yet fluffy (oxymoron?) without being overly sweet. The bagel sammie was crammed with a beautifully fried egg and lots of spicy sausage, and the bagel itself was really soft and springy while having a good hefty texture. Bill came out to be $12. I cant recommend this place enough!

I love this place, their donuts and bagels are fresh and amazing. I love their basic glazed raised donut and old fashioned cake donut. And despite the fact that I typically dont like filled donuts, their Bavarian cream is to die for! And did I mention that these things are huge, a single donut here is a full blown meal! But timing can be everything, they only make so many batches a day and they sell out occasionally and run out of the good stuff almost always by 4pm so the earlier the better!

A very welcome addition to Davis Square. I am a fan for many reasons:First, the donuts are amazing - among the best around and more reasonable than many others. Ive tried at least half of the varieties and they are all delicious.Second, the bagels are very good and much, much cheaper than many competitors, the vast majority of which are not as good. They have a lot of interesting varieties and they are clearly boiled before baking as they should be. My parents, recently transplanted from the NY area, agree they are delicious. Finally, the service is excellent - there were a few kinks on opening day, but they seem to have gotten the hang of things a few days later, and the staff has been consistently friendly. The combination of delicious food, reasonable prices, and good service makes this our new go-to for circular treats!I should add that on many subsequent visits I have had the bagel sandwiches, which are amazing! Definitely some of the best around, made fresh while you wait.

I got an Oreo one and it was dense like a coffee cake. I prefer fluffy light donuts.Side note: Their sausage egg and cheese sandwiches use sausage links which is very weird for a breakfast sandwich.
