I have a regular mechanic, but he was booked and I needed work done asap, it was a belt that was falling apart that controlled the cooling fan. I called Labres and spoke to Frank, he was pleasant and could accommodate me and gave me an estimate right away. Once I arrived he also gave me a written estimate (very professional). We spoke about a possible cause for the belt breakdown it was an oil leak my previous mechanic had noted. I asked Frank if they could fix it and he was on it, got the vehicle back in less than 24 hours with both items fixed, warrantied and the estimates were spot on. Very pleased with their professional service.

I broke down early morning in Sonoma. Found Larbre on the web and called. Frank was sincere, listened to me and told me how to get to the shop.When I arrived Frank was able to get a good diagnosis within an hour, an estimate for the parts and labor, and completion day.When I returned the truck was repaired, ready for pick up and cost below the estimate. I was a service writer for 2.5 years and can truly say Frank is a great service writer and representative of this repair facility. I am 100% satisfied with my entire experience.

Engine in my Saturn ran dangerously hot because there was no coolant in the radiator. AAA towed the car to Mike Labre Auto repair. Radiator hose had popped off radiator. This repair was relatively simple and inexpensive but I good the same good service this auto repair shop always provides. I recommend this shop and find the repair diagnosis and repair work more reliable than the service available from most dealers.

I’m out of the area currently, but did use Mike Larbre,s auto services when I was here. I come to visit often and my mother’s 2016 suburu needed servicing. As usual Larbre,s delivered. The shop is immaculate, techs are great, and Frank always meets you with a smile at the front desk to handle your needs. Fair and reasonable on prices, plus car shuttle service! What’s not to like. What a fantastic experience. These guys are honest and do great work. I went there for an oil change and to get fluids checked and tires rotated. In the process of doing that work, a rubber hose broke (my car is 14 years old and rubber does dry out...). Any other dealer would have used that opportunity to sell me more parts and labor but these guys replaced it for the cost of the part only because “this was an unplanned expense for you.” OMG how nice is that? Plus, I got several questions answered that no other repair place had ever been able to give me straight answers about. These guys are a true gem in the automotive world!

A while back I was up at Mike Larbre Automotive, Mike is a client of mine and he noticed that my taillight was out, I told him that I was not aware that it was out and would he be able to install one for me.When they were done and the light was working again, I asked them how much do I owe you and they said nothing.This shop really knows what it means to put service first.

Update at bottomMy experience is that it seems like an honest and reputable shop. Their labor cost is 148 per hour, but they undercharged me for time spent, so it was in effect lower than that. They would only put in a manufacturer-made alternator, explaining they want to trust the part. It was about 300 more expensive than a Duralast part from AutoZone, but thats fair and reasonable, and they were transparent about it. Frank and my mechanic who was talking about his old GTI were both friendly and happy to share lots of info. They stuck with their estimate though they let me know it took some hours extra. Positive experience and good shop. They did the promised work at the price I agreed to, and I definitely get the impression theyre running an honest shop. 5 stars deserved.Edit: One month after repair the alternator has died again. Changing review to 1 star until a good resolution is reached. The $1394 fix they presented as essentially the only fix led to it breaking a month later from the same oil leak. For them to profit 1000 off of that wouldnt be cool. I suspect that spraying electronics cleaner on the alternator (an option I wasnt told about) might be my best option. I do realize they would have a profit motive to not inform me of this option for trying to get my alternator functioning. Hopefully theyll propose some way of resolving this because I dont want to be left with nothing to show for that $1394 expense (especially since Im paying it off as an Uber driver).

Not any I’ve experienced in the past in Sonoma Valley specifically are kept clean and organized similar to Larbre’s!Frank takes pride in his office and gives his customer full satisfaction for a job well done. Frank and his mechanics are knowledgeable and didn’t sell me anything unnecessary. Jose V. is also a dutiful mechanic with years of employment at Larbre’s. You know a good employee when you have one.
