Visited for ear impressions for CIEMs. Very professional, experienced, friendly, and knowledgeable. They use Westone pink silicast which produces a higher quality mold with fewer cracks and voids than the material that some other audiologists use. Impressions were accepted by my manufacturer. Good experience.

I was in search of recommendations for audiologists, as my hearing aid had broken and my current provider had suggested a hefty fee to fix it, even going so far as to say that it needed replacement. Given the costs involved I believed it was wise to seek a second opinion. I met with Dr. Julie Bier of Better Living Audiology in South Burlington. Lo and behold my hearing aid did not need to be replaced and the replacement part was substantially, read significantly, less than my (now former) practitioner was quoting. I saved a considerable amount of money and have a wonderful new audiologist!

I have had my hearing aids for almost 2 years when one day I discovered the right ear receiver wire had come loose and I couldnt hear. I called Better Living Audiology and they said bring it right in and they would fix it. I was there less than 5 minutes and it was good as new and no charge. I have nothing but good things to say about the care I have received here.

The receptionist was able to fix my hearing aid so that it now is better than ever, rather than no longer working by eliminating wax under its filter. 😊

This place is really nasty, rude and inconsiderate. I have asked repeatedly for probably 5 years, to be removed from their mailing list, and yet I still get their junk. They COMPLETELY ignore my requests and make no effort to stop sending me their junk mail, and I expect my information is shared with anyone willing to pay for it. So SENIORS BEWARE! Once these people get your contact info, regardless of what YOU want, they will never stop contacting you.

Better Living Audiology and Dr Bier provide an atmosphere of trust in a relaxed setting. Dr. Bier is a good mixture of proper humor, knowledge and professionalism. All of my questions and concerns were addressed including tips for good maintenence and what to expect as I got used to these aids.

Dr. Bier has turned out to be an excellent choice for my hearing needs. When it came time to replace my old hearing aids, I was not pleased with the price of the services from our largest local hearing aid provider so I decided to talk to Dr. Bier. I found her to be very qualified. Not only does she have a Doctorate in Audiology from UVM but she has excellent experience having previously practiced at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC); University of California, San Francisco (UCSF Medical Center). I also found her knowledge about the technology in the hearing aids to be very strong. This is a critical skill because your satisfaction with your hearing aid may well be determined by the devices technological ability to adapt to your specific needs. All of this for less than half the fee of my previous provider. I highly recommend Dr. Bier and Better Living Audiology.

Very pleased that they had replacement parts for my dog-chewed older hearing aids.

Julie was great to work with. She explained everything extremely well and I am now protecting my hearing with the Westone DefendEar digital hearing protection while hunting and shooting. The biggest benefit over ear plugs is that I can carry on a conversation with others while wearing them and I can hear the ducks and geese approaching. These go with me every time I go out now.
