Went to store to grab some stuff last night, after a long time and looks like you guys have come a long way .... Keep up the good work and thank you for helping out with all the necessary stuff and I really appreciate you insisting on staying in the car with the kid and grabbing and doing shopping for me. You have really good collection of ganeshas as well :)
By and large this store keeps indian grocery, masala, fruits, vegetables and other Indian items. The rates are reasonable and at times they offer discounts as well.
They seem to have everything you could want for your Indian recipes. Awesome service.
Great for Indian groceries but prices are bit high compared
Charge too much on each and every items. Also doing lot of mistakes in the bill. Be careful and double check your bills before leaving.
Good place to shop Indian spies and groceries
I know that the management has changed and they seem to be doing better than those set of guys running the store. Hope this new management keep their quality of products and service.
Please be aware that all the price tags on the shelves are out dated..! Basically seeing lower price tags on shelves create an impress that you are getting a deal and at the register you end up paying higher than mentioned..!Always always check the price at the register before you pay.
Great store. Very well located. Sufficient variety of items. Very Helpful staff.
Bought Idli batter yesterday from here. It had expiration date till 07/22. But when I opened it after coming home, it had some foul smell and some yellowish bubbles. It was bad.It was our first purchase from this store
I have been going to this store for about two years now. However, recently during the last 4-5 months this store is selling expired edible items. I have brought this to their attention several times, and have heard from other customers complaining as well stating that their food is moldy. Today I opened this sweet and i saw this. It was smelling really bad and I puked. No giving half off for selling bad products is not a solution. You guys should check with your vendors and make sure you are selling at least edible items.
New cashier is careless during checkout process. She charged extra counts of items and is very rough with items during bagging process.
Great store! They had so many options for making Indian cuisine, and the woman I spoke with was amazing helping me gather all the whole spices I needed to make homemade garam masala. So glad I found this little gem!
This store always has expired item. Moreover they are cheating us at the billing if we buy two item they are billing it for three items. Several times we have notified and seen doing it doe others as well. If they do not change the way it should be we are going to post it face book in public. This is several times happening for last two years. Very bad impression on selling expired items and billing wrongly to customers. Be careful guys.
Good variety of goods and spices. The folks there were very helpful.
I was so grateful to find this place after spending several years in India. They have all the brands and items I was used to
:Large selection in a small space. Sometimes I have to search around to find someone to ring me up, but seems like a good place to find what you need for Indian cooking.
Great Indian store
Great place to dine in and shop. Youll find everything related to Indian food here.
Good osm
Danny helped me find some ingredients and went above and beyond to quickly find it.He helped me with the Hindi words for the ingredients I was looking for and gave me some amazing recommendations.LOVE THIS STORE!!!
EXPIRED EXPIRED food found here. I notified the staff about this about 2 weeks back, but I found the same exact box ( in fact 3 boxes ) today in the frozen food. Im amazed that after notifying them, they said Oh sorry, must have been a mistake but they just took it from me and kept it back in the refrigerator for another customer to take it.
Very unsatisfied with expired items this is my 3rd experience with apna bazaar lot of out dated snacks & spices as well. Actually there 1star is also waste for there service but unfortunately google is not accepting without rating. Highly recommend for desi’s in utah please check the expiration before buying .
I really do want to give this store 5 stars they are super helpful, but the store is a little cluttered because they have so many products and not near enough space for them. I always enjoy imported goods and the small glimpse of another way of life in another part of the world. I will be back and find a reason to change my review to 5 stars.
Always a great selection. Very friendly staff.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful and I was able to get the ingredients I was looking for.
Super great place to get Indian cooking supplies
Its a good place for all Indian grocery needs. But the staff could be little more friendly.
Usually I have average to good experience at this store. A few weeks back I asked them if they are out of kathi rolls and they said they have some by mopleez but some customers have complained about mold in them so they have removed it from the shelves. Went back a couple weeks after that and saw some mopleez kathi rolls. I checked with the person and the girl at the billing counter asking them if this was a different batch and they assured me, yes this expires in March 2021 so I picked some up. THEY WERE DEFINITELY MOLDY. It will be good if you could please not sell it to other customers.
The lady working there, or usually at the register is very rude and impatient for no reason at all! If she has issues with something else (probably), she shouldnt be showing that on customers. Thought Id let it go, but this was not the first time. All I did was put the products/items on the counter for her to start billing and thats it. I didnt ask her a thing! The guy seemed fine and courteous to me, at least.Look, I dont expect A+ customer service. I know its insane to expect that. You dont have to make small talk or ask if I found everything fine either. Just be polite enough. Thats the least you could do.Edit: Hmm... I read some other reviews and now I wonder if shes just that way with Indian customers, specifically (and ironically).
We are a regular at this place and like the variety of stuffs they have. Daniel is always super responsive and cordial. They make sure to regularly update their stock and take feedback if any. This place has my highest recommendations.
Good neighborhood Indian Grocery Store. They do sell Veggies, frozen food, and Goat meat.
We love shopping here only for the service provided by Prema. Very honest, helpful and definitely goes that extra mile to help customers. If for any reason, we do not get the regular brand, she suggests good alternatives and helps solve. Prompt and fast in getting things done. Definitely deserves a 5*. Thank you Prema for your wonderful service and ensuring we get what we need even during this global crisis.
Whoever was working the counter today (2/4/2020) evening should stop working with customers. Absolutely disrespectful and keeps rushing the customers.Someone should teach the guy how to treat the customers. I went in today and brought groceries for over $100. However the guy at the check out counter felt it was too inconvenient and kept asking me to hurry while checking me out. I was moving fast and there was hardly anyone behind me also. But apparently the cashier had some important matters to attend to and checking out customer was not IMPORTANT ENOUGH.On top of it, he didnt give me receipt. Reason being, the paper got stuck. I said I can wait, but again he was just too busy. So he told me i can go over the things on his computer. My gosh, so gracious.Try treating customers right first. This is not the only Indian grocery store around. There are stores that can treat customers better and can give better products. Such a pathetic customer service and the irony is this cashier is also apparently a part owner of the store. And this is not the first time I have seen him behave so disrespectfully to customers.
WorstMost unorganised store I ever been tooOld expired food I foundThey need to organize store to utilize the space.Never going there againEven lady on cash register was rude. She did not greet customer coming or leaving store.
Today i bought two packets of Goat meat ! It was my mistake i didnt check the packet well . Those were only bones . I threw it in trash, there were no trace of meat in there . I thought may be these are for dogs . But again i paid 16$ for that . Bones for dogs are normaly free .
The customer service at billing counter is rude for no reasons. They should have more patience while dealing with customers. I often see them selling expired products like yogurts, pickles, snacks etc. I observed a lot of products have been ripped off the expiry date tag.
Regular/good Indian store, well stocked but a lot of the items didnt have the price sticker on them which made it quite hard to determine the price and decide what to buy. Minimum price of $5 or so enforced for using credit/debit card. 1 rupee melody candy being sold for $0.49 😂
A good initiative to provide good services and discount. The best part is that it is open at least till 9PM daily which gives us enough time to buy groceries. They definitely need to have more items in their place especially variety of vegetables. And they are open for all advices and special demands. The good part is that they are improving themselves continuously. Good Job!
Amazing experience! Staff is super friendly and helpful. Im an avid lover of spices and Indian dishes, and this little store doesnt disappoint. They provide a large spices selection, delightful mixes, and even sweets. Along with several items from big import brand names such as Cadbury (the real stuff, not Hershey knockoffs) and Maggi. They also have a rewards program. We will definitely be going there again!
Such a great store! They have everything youd need. The ice cream is AMAZING! You can tell that its made with fresh fruit! Fun unique flavors as well.
Our go to store to buy Indian grocery! Convenient location. Particularly we like vegetables!
The best Indian grocery store in Utah! The staff is the nicest! I have seen many Americans there and the staff helps them in the best way possible! And the veggies here are so fresh! We love this place! There is nothing that I can’t find here! If you need anything specific they order the item for you! Also the ice-creams are delicious! Unique flavors, one should definitely try the pan masala flavor!Would highly recommend this place!
The girl who works at the counter on weekends is VERY VERY RUDE. First she entered the wrong item, then entered lesser money than what my husband gave to her as cash and then just walked away blaming the ppl who do the barcoding that it’s their fault. I m so so glad that Desi Grocers is opening in South Jordan that their so-called monopoly is going to end and they will have to either get better or get more polite staff who cares about the customer. Also, in the past we have seen expired food products being sold. Can’t wait for the other store to open..
This store is horrible Indian grocery store. The person at the Billing counter is too rude and absolutely disrespectful. They do not accept return things. After requesting so much they return 50%. I hate this store and will never visit again.
I visit the store regularly as its closest to to where I live. Good place to stop by for quick visits & theyve introduced an ice cream shop as well which have variety of delicious flavors. But, the checkout is slow because they only 1 counter.
The lady who works there is the rudest lady i ever seen. If she or her family own that place its very shameful for them atleast she needs to change her attitude.or if she works there then owner needs to talk to her or fire her.
I could find every thing which I couldnt find in other Indian shops. The only thing missing from every store is Haldirams paneer which isnt available here either. But I would surely come here again as it had some frozen paranthas, samosas, kebabs which wasnt available in other stores
Very friendly and helpful.
Not an honest store. Watch your prices very carefully. We were charged 2x the amount for the listed price of ice cream. The ice cream was so old it was crystallized and had poor flavor. Find a different store. Very disappointed because this store is close to me. I would rather drive further to get good quality at a reasonable price ( or at least the price advertised- that’s not too much to ask.
They have all the spicies I was looking for. Good price!
Fresh produce are actually fresh unlike other Indian stores. You get fresh or Duce in Tuesday and Friday. They also have a reward card which is interesting.Quality of products are also good. And they have a variety as well.Could be better in arranging their fresh produce.
Lady at the register is annoying, no facial expressions even though you smile. Well she supposed to welcome customer. Anyways. This store is nasty at all times. NEVER have fresh veggies. I brought fenugreek and it was bad. I dont understand why they put veggies in plastic bags? you cant even see them before buying. and everything is over prized. scammers. They dont have half of the things which other Indian grocery stores have. Im for sure not going to this store in future.
Everything that an Indian cuisine would need, you will find it here.
Never ever go to the store.. so disrespectful and have no ethics. They started online order pickup and delivery.. Never order they give soiled and about to rotten stuff
Good Indian grocery store for vegetables and other Indian items.Check the expiry date, some masala packs doesnt have expiry and some are expired already.
Great vaierty of Indian items
They have a huge amoubt of spices and the guy knows yhem all. Clean and friendly. Ill be back
Nice product selection with festival time discounts.Membership card gives extra rewards which is equal to 10% discount. Fresh fish avilable on Saturday 3-5pm. If we request additional items they are getting it.
One stop for Indian spices and groceries
Good varieties. But make sure you will check expiry date of things.
Store for everything Indian. Its alright I have seen better indian stores around with more offerings.Make sure you check the expiry dates. The Management is least bother to discard expired items.
OK grocery store. Produce is not the best Ive seen. Have seen a lot of staff there. Couple of them are nice and friendly but not all of them. A cashier refused to update the loyalty card from my previous purchase when I came in next time mentioning some weird reason. Poor customer service IMO. The owners need to teach their staff a thing or two about customer service.
The options are limited in the shop. The quality was good though.
Nice store. Good selection of Indian food. The owner spent lots of time helping us find products, and then described them. Well be back!
Please check your bills when buying here. They are overcharging Customers who are not checking their bills and/or are not attentive. They tried to bill me a 6 Inch Ganesha idol as a 12 Inch Idol. I used to be a regular here but not anymore,
Very good service and veggies are fresh
Variety of indian foods, snacks, herbal medicine and vegetables too.Clean place
Friendly family owned operation. The Kwality ice cream is a great dessert alternative option compared the the regular everyday options.
Offers a large variety of indian food and sweets.
Good for vegetables, Indian spices, frozen Indian food, Indian snacks
Horrible !!!
Bigger than the other Indian/Pakistani stores in the valley. One stop shopping for all Indian groceries. Always fresh inventory and friendly staff.
The store has good variety but the discount card which they claim that we get a $10 off for $100 purchase is never given .Everytime we only get to here the bill was already processed and the next time the $10 can be deducted and we have been told the same 4 to 5times now. There is no point in having such a card when it cannot be followed.
Unfortunately there is not much competition and hence people visit the place despite their not so great service and the carelessness will be evident from the moment you step into the store.Vegetables are not fresh 6 out of 10 times. (Feb 2020, I purchased a leafy vegetable which I figured out has gone bad after reaching home, on informing that I had to throw on next visit, they are not even apologetic but were saying they would have taken had I got it back that day.. why I would I spend a gallon and 30+ minutes to return it for $4!!)Make sure you check expiry dates on snacks. We found them expired multiple times.Seasonal/festival specific items are way costly and of the least quality. I had a worse experience buying two pheni packets(looks like packed by them splitting bulk) for $6 each and tasted worse. Went back the same day to explain and was about to return second packet, they were like we will not refund for these!! I left it there and told them not to sell those to others as they looked spoilt and not expecting any refund.Their rewards program was not fair; which they changed $5 for 100 points to $10 for 200 points. If you buy $19, they will add 10 points LOL!!! If you do not ask them to add points, they will happily ignore.. Recently they removed that too citing increased costs when I realized something was better than nothing :)The two stars I gave is for all the shopping I had to do for few products which I had to buy from them.Hope they improve in their customer treatment!
Nice store providing Indian groceries. They also provide Shopping points which can be redeemed. For every $100 accumulated purchase you get $10 off on your next purchase.
Best Indian store in south Jordan. Collection is limited compared to stores i have seen on west coast and east coast but this is what we got.I hope they add the missing items.
Little small store compared to rest in town. But has all Indian grocery items. Has vegetables coming every Tuesday and Friday. Has a small ice-cream parlour as well.
Great variety of Indian groceries from produce to frozen items. Highly recommended.
It has things you cant find many other places in Utah and the cashiers are very nice.
Good collection
Have most of the Indian groceries. Priced high for seasonal items. The service and staff response is commendable.
A little pricier than Dhanya which is less than a mile away, but more selection than Dhanya. Some products were packaged in ziplock sandwich bags which I found odd. Lots of things didnt have any pricing.
Point system was good but they stopped it. Now its same as any other indian store.
Shop today and Every week we spent almost $100 and today the price coming wrong $2.49 and ringing up to $2.99 and Apna Bazar associate can’t give to you and so bad Have attitude then I told never go back. Some have expired item.
A bit pricey when compared to Cash and Carry. Vegetables are mostly not fresh and lot of items are near expiry so one should check the expiry date before getting anything here. Points system was a joke and they discontinued it without letting me cash my earned points. We try to avoid buying anything here unless it is absolutely necessary as Cash and Carry is little far from our place.
This Shop Have all types of indian species especially all south Indian things
Clean store. Good stock. Fresh veggies is what I needed most and got it from here.
My parents go there. They love it. Good place.
Especially clean, well-organized store. Im new to cooking Indian foods and the staff were extremely helpful in providing recommendations for my skill level. Bonus! They have Cadbury chocolate bars!!! This is a great addition to SoJo. Ill be back!
They had the two ingredients that I needed to make curry. The staff are friendly.
Good place to get Indian groceries..you will get all the stuff that is probably missing at the local store. Expected it to be bigger though.
Good customer service but watch the item prices when they scanning at register and check all your items before you leave store.
You have decent selection of Indian grocery here but I wouldnt suggest buying produce from here, its usually looks old.
Just like a lot of other businesses, this one has turned sloppy within a couple of years of opening. I see that after the onset of COVID, prices have been jacked up for quite a few products. The website is poorly maintained with outdated prices, I always see higher prices on the invoice printed at the store vs the online one. Also, curb side pickup is a joke, picking a slot online is pointless. Had to wait outside for quite a bit and no one showed up to get my order details, the person at the counter asked me to come inside to get my order details totally defeating the purpose of curbside pickup.
Good place will get all Indian grocery, fresh vegetables and fruits. Friendly persons 😊.
We ordered for boroplus and staff as promised they kept their word by adding to their stock. I really like the staff they are friendly and helpfull and especially they are open to suggestions and will be upfront about things
This is our go to indian grocery store. Vegetables here are fresh here, we generally go either on Tuesday or Friday for vegetables. Others indian groceries are also good, generally they have long expiry date, we have noticed that other indian grocery stores in salt lake City sell groceries with expired dates.Staff here is very kind and they help is in finding things. Unlike other indian stores they good number of staff members to help within the store.Other thing I liked about this store is that they give discount if you buy total 100$ worth stuff.
Very nice and hard working staff members and always wiling to help you out.
