She was really efficient. Hand sanitizer was on the counter, mask had to be worn inside and she has a plastic tarp covering the counter and register. The ice cream cake I got from you was very good and I felt very confident buying it. Thank you so much

Carvel never disappoints! Simone has been making my son’s cakes for 9 years! From car cakes, pictures and other artwork, it has always been a pleasure to see my son’s smile for his favorite dessert! I no longer live in the area and will always travel 45mins for the quality of service and product! The service is seamless and swift!!! I will always be grateful for the exceptional service! THIS CARVEL IS BY FAR THE BEST ONE IN ESSEX COUNTY,,,,, Ive been coming to this Carvel for several years for my children, and when I say the best customer service ever I really mean it, The location is great they never disappoint, I have been dealing with Simone the manager since forever she always greets me with a smile, no matter what I need shes always there to help me out . I always get custom ice cream cakes from strawberry/ vanilla, butter pecan / vanilla and even cookies and cream ice cream cakes she never ever disappoints ( my children all want different ice cream cakes for birthdays or other special occasions) I am so grateful that you guys are always there for my family. I referred so many people there and they all have said great things about Simone and the staff at Carvel. Carvel always have everything I need and then some,,, lol ..... always clean well stocked and always always open and available when I need something really quick,,, The best in town,,,,,,

They have pistachio, one of my favorite flavors and guess what?! It doesnt have the pieces in the ice cream!!!! Praise God 🙏!!!

I went to Carvel on a whim since cold stone was packed and the employee there hooked me UP. I got a medium ice cream, she filled the cup and packed toppings onto the top. I was going to tell her I didnt need oreos since the cup was already STACKED but she got a new cup before I could even say anything and filed it with even MORE toppings. Dont sleep on Carvel

Love this place!! It has a kind and friendly atmosphere- when you walk in, you’re greeted with a smile, they have great customer service, the store is clean and serves up some fresh and delicious ice cream. I’ve been coming here with my childhood group of friends for a long time and we will always keep coming back. Reading some of these negative reviews, I feel like they are definitely rare cases because it is not often I see a customer leaving with a frown when they leave this Carvel. I say if you’re considering stopping by here, definitely do, you won’t regret it!!

Disgraceful!!!!! I was accused of using a counterfeit ten dollar bill here hence l without a markable pen or counterfeit machine. She looked at it and immediately said it was counterfeit. The woman pretended I was a criminal. I told her that I just made a withdrawal from the bank right down the street. She wouldn’t give me back the bill until I showed her the bank slip. I explained to her I had no reason to use a counterfeit bill in her establishment. She threatened to called the police. I told her she could. Everyone at the bank knows me and if it’s counterfeit I’ll handle it with them. At this moment this black woman threatened my life. I told her I would call the police for her. Eventually after 30 minutes she gave me the bill back. I used another bill.I went to Provident Bank and tol the Manager my story Whom I knew. She examined the bill and how did she come to the conclusion that the bill was counterfeit because it was not. She gave me another bill and placed the other bill back into the tellers draw. With all this being said if you want to die like Floyd support this lousy business. If not don’t support this deplorable establishment!

I ordered a strawberry shortcake ice cream cake for my boyfriend’s birthday and it was by far the best ice cream cake we ever had. I’m not big on writing reviews but I must say it exceeded my expectations. All thanks to Simone who was extremely helpful and responsive. Simone designed the cake beautifully according to my request and the price was affordable. I will definitely be back!

We go to this Carvel for our birthday cakes for every member of our family. Of course we use it all Summer long since I am a Cherry Vanilla fanatic. Service is usually pretty quick and the cake writer is always very friendly.

Very nice lady who provide me service, I enjoy the conversation, Sharing of our faith. She encourage me come back for the special on Wednesday. I plan on going back.

Call before going at night. Website hours say 9:30 pm close time. My husband was there a little after 9 and the lights were off and the shop was closed.

Forget about the long wait down the street at that other ice cream place, Carvel is the place to be. Delicious, fresh ice cream accompanied by an amazing staff scooping up and satisfying your sweet tooth. Definitely worth a try.

Steer clear of the Carvel on South Orange Avenue in South Orange! Serving banana splits without bananas?? Really?? No pineapples, no this, no that....just forget about it; take your money elsewhere!!! Nvr again for me. Oh, did I mention bad attitude along with it?????

Ice cream cake is terrible. Some parts of it did not have cookie crunchies in it and the pets that did it was thin. Wasted my money big time.

I went in to Carvel today and was treated very rudely. We were not greeted when we came in and when I asked to sample the ice cream, the man behind the counter threw his rag and rolled his eyes when I asked him for a sample. It appeared as though he is racist, we will never return this location.

Worst experience I’ve ever had at a Carvel. The woman behind the counter is ALWAYS on the phone. Their selection is very small but, the last straw for me was finding hairs in my banana split. Never again
