The people working here are super helpful. My car was not starting as I stopped there to check my tire air pressure. They jump started, checked the battery voltage and suggested the connection is loose and it started miraculously after a while. Very nice, I cancelled the towing service. I tipped these guys and happily left from there.

I recently purchased a 2008 Honda Civic, and brought it to Mavis because I wanted to get an oil change, have the headlights replaced, and have them check the brakes. I had a good idea of what major components were wrong when I purchased the car, and dropped the car off for the day. After doing a full inspection, the tech called and recommended brakes all around (rotors and pads), a brake flush, power steering flush, air cabin filter, and new battery. I agreed to all of the work, and Wesley even managed to save me some money in the process by throwing in the oil change for free and taking some money off of the air filter and a tire sensor that I knew I needed. I was called after about three hours and informed that, unfortunately, I had a certain type of rear caliper that they did not have the tool for. I was told that they would have the air hammer the following day, and I agreed to bring the car back to be fixed. Thankfully, the brakes on the rear were easily replaced the following day by Antwan, and the car drives wonderfully now. Antwan even recommended LED headlights that could be purchased on Amazon (which Advanced Auto Parts did not have in stock), and offered to install them as soon as they arrive. Overall, I had a great experience, saved some money, and most importantly have a safe car to drive. I would recommend this Mavis location to anyone in need of car repairs.

My car got a tire right before closing time and my tow driver called to see if they could change my tire. Luckily for me they stayed late just for me and Im super grateful for them! Mavis at South plainfield always give top notch service and are very accomodative. They take guarenteed care of your car and suggest needed repairs at correct time. They are transparent about their rates and apply all discounts applicable without asking.

I’ve set an appointment for oil change.I was exactly there at the time. And refused to change oil and said there was false appointment done from online contact number. However they sent an email with full confirmation details and he literally didn’t want to see the confirmation email itself.

They are very helpful and honest. They get the job done.

I have no plans to ever step foot into the South Plainfield branch... I took my car there told the guy the tire was going flat I bought insurance through the company because I bought my tires there the guy told me to leave my car there and pick it up the next day.. it takes 10 minutes to fix a flat and then he told me to go to another place... So he literally wanted me to drive my car on a tire thats going flat... That place is the worst

If I could give them 100 stars I would. Usually I go to STS in Piscataway, but they were (most unfortunately) still closed due to Idas flooding. I could not wait any longer and took my Mazda3 to Mavis on Hadley Road. Antwain lives up to his stellar reputation. He refused to have me buy two new tires and convinced me to replace my one flat tire and did the brakes (as I requested)- told me nothing new. I already knew the brakes were shot, but did not realize how badly. The price was fair and I was SHOCKED because I got the car back within HOURS, the SAME DAY and it rode like a brand new car - it feels great. Although I love the guys at STS, I will be giving my business to BOTH places....I am grateful for the superior service I received today.

I was calling for pricing on installing 4 tires and 4 Tpms that I already have for my mercedes-benz and they started asking for the vehicle information I told them Im just putting them on rims thats all and they proceeded to say that they need the car information to give a price. I gave the information and they wanted to charge over 200 dollars. I asked why it was so much and they told me that they added a wheel alignment when I didnt ask for one, I asked them to remove that I didnt want it and provide me with the price for the installation which was still over 120 dollars. I asked her if this was the pricing for all the mavis locations (while I already had called these locations and got their prices) and she lied and said yes it is. Just because its a mercedes does mean you should jack up the price.

I went for a wheel alignment recently and was not happy with the results. I asked for the wheel alignment report but was not provided the same. I am dissatisfied with the service.
