I have been a customer of Party City for over 30 years. I love the selection of balloons and all occasion items they have for any themed party and accessories you may need. I was there 4 days ago and Amber was the associate helping us find the particular items I needed for a surprise celebratory party. She was friendly, courteous, respectful, funny and made shopping allot of fun. Tamara and Tasha were wonderful upon check out while taking my information and logging it into the computer in a timely manner for pick up. They too, were friendly, courteous and helpful. Every associate was ready to help as soon as you entered the establishment. Full of smiles and introduction, no waiting in line lines, this is what keeps me coming to Party City. Keep up the wonderful job. Highly recommended.

Party City has been my go-to store for any events/ birthday parties and I always find myself coming back to the one this one, the one in South Plainfield because of its dedicated and helpful staff. There is always someone willing to help and make my shopping experience easier. The cashiers and managers are all very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely continue shopping here!

I bought these balloons for my husband last night to surprise him in the morning. In the morning I discovered that they were all lying on the floor, they were already blown away. Are you don’t know how to inflate balloons? Im shocked. I wasted my money!

Honestly it was not my best experience. Finding the things I need for my grandfathers party was easy but I was being followed around the store. Each aisle I was in they would follow me. Also I was waiting for my balloons and the manager, I think Susan. She was REALLY rude. She had this nasty attitude and talk bad to her employees. I would Never step foot In that store again.

This party city is my go-to spot! From balloons to costumes to party favors and candy, I’ve never been disappointed throughout the years. The staff is attentive and helpful. Even during this pandemic, they helped me get what I needed cheerfully and I could tell they’re working extra hard to make every celebration special! I’ll definitely be heading over there again soon for Halloween and I’m sure I’ll end up with the perfect costume! Highly recommend!!

Maybe I came in on a bad day, but disorganized doesn’t begin to explain my experience. I ordered supplies for a birthday party, received a pickup text two hours before I arrived only to arrive and my order is incomplete. First it couldn’t be found, then my balloons were not ready. Multiple pickup orders experienced the same.

I feel I paid too much for what I got. 20$+ for a 24in plain ballon (no lettering) for a gender reveal only to get a sprinkle of confetti to come out. I barely saw it. Also would have been charge just to add more of my own confetti. Definitely a let down for a big day.

Was a successful last minute shopping experience. Costume fitting room line was quite long. The young lady with long hair was very sweet in helping and giving great opinions.

Worst experience. Store operates as a mom and pop and refused to accept returns from another party city. They were rude and lied the product I tried to return.What can be accomplished now? Thanks for the generic reply. I emailed but now reply. Anyone looking to go here, i would suggest you go else where.

I have been going to this party city for years for all of my party needs! The customer service is wonderful and they go above and beyond. I have used them to decorate for parties that I have thrown and it’s always been a pleasure working with them!

Not dog friendly... they have alot of stuff. But they sell dog costumes but dont allow you to bring your small dog into the store. I can understand big dogs, but not small dogs you hold in your arms.

Amazing store and staff! I been going to this store a couple of years now. During this pandemic they have curbside pick up service. Which is such an easy process to get your party supplies! I recently purchased online for my kids graduation. They had everything I wanted. Highly recommend this store, you won’t be disappointed!

Very disappointed! I bought one balloon for my daughters birthday the next day. I was 1 step away from physically reaching the garage and the balloon came loose and up to the sky it went. I noticed the part of the string that shouldve held the balloon had no knot; not even any wrinkles where the knot couldve came loose. This only meant that the balloon wasnt tied tightly & securely to begin with. Very upset because balloons from this place arent cheap. And if Party City was closer from home, I wouldve gone back to speak to the manager.

Horrible store return policies.I purchased a Ninja Turtle costume for my son for Christmas. I didnt check it, but should have, I guess because there was a number sticker inside the mask which probably meant that it was a display piece. The costume had a tiny run and the material was pilling. I called to ask if I can return or exchange it and if all I needed was my email confirmation. I did shop online and pick up in store. (The website also promised for contactless pick up - where you open the trunk and they put it in your trunk. Not the case, I had to talk to the associate and signed a sales slip). I felt bad for the associate who took my call because he is just the messenger. He said the manager said sale was final because its a costume after a holiday. Its a Ninja Turtle costume...not Santa. Ive had issues with this location before because I think its franchised owned. I did the Live Chat to explain the issue and they refunded me with no issues. They agreed with me and said I should not have to lose my money on a defective item.

Terrible experience at this location! The manager, Jani is rude and unprofessional. My 3 and 6 year old were excited to pick out their Halloween costumes. This location charged me for an item they never gave during my curbside pick up. I went in to exchange size of the costume and he was irritated at my 3 year old being her excited happy self. He was also finding excuses trying not to return/exchange something never worn.I will NEVER go to this location again!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Manager Jani has no control over poor customer service being given by his staff right in front of him. Had a girl roll her eyes right at me when I asked her to ring me up. Safe to say I will not be spending my money at Party City anymore.

What a lovely place and a very friendly atmosphere! They called me often if I needed help and if I wanted anything for my party. They had diverse collections for everything I needed. There were many options for my college party in almost every colors. Starting from Halloween costumes to different candies, and there were many collections for exquisite balloons. I also loved the Party Rentals program where I ordered an event frame with the collections of our childhood photos.There were also many varieties for St. Patrick days collection and made my day .One of the most recommended places with a very lively atmosphere.

Curb side pick up. Seems like it would be a great idea, but it was executed so poorly. First off, they have you call the store, which must have only one phone line because youre either put on hold forever or you get the voice mailbox full message and hung up on. Second, it takes them forever to get your order. A bunch of people started getting out of their cars and going up to the front door, which made it more difficult for the staff to wait on the cars. Feel like they need a better check in process to prevent the delays. Terrible experience. Would not use again, just go to Walmart, less hassle.

I recently went to party city in south Plainfield to purchase some balloons for my brother’s birthday. I was assisted by TJ who made the curbside pickup experience seamless. I ordered online, called the store when I reached, and my order was out in a few minutes. Thank you Party City for working hard during these difficult times. I really appreciate it !

Went to this location today, I asked for curbside pickup because I forgot my mask at home and was in a rush, I parked in the designated curbside area, called the number and was on hold for a while, finally spoke to someone and was put on hold again a few moments later someone answered and asked for my name and what parking spot I was in and then proceeded to tell me that “they don’t do curbside” so basically they don’t come to the designated curbside area you have to come to the front of the store. I’m just curious why have a curbside area if you guys don’t come to that area?? What was the reason of putting up those signs up if your employees aren’t gonna come to that area? It was a waste of time to put them up to be honest.

Everything was clean and well organized. Ive been a few times and have always dealt with friendly and helpful associates. Some even forewarning me about upcoming waiting times for balloons and such. Very helpful. We did experience an issue with being double charged due to system issues. But it was resolved fairly quickly and was no fault of the employee.

Bad experience, didn’t receive an email to confirm the order pick up. Went to store and order isn’t ready and transaction incomplete.They needed 15 minutes to prepare order. Poor service, I don’t recommend them. Period.

Nice store. However, the people who work there have no idea whats going on and when. I asked somebody if they knew when the Halloween stuff would come out, but they had no idea. I dont blame them though. The prices are really good and there are a lot of fun things for sale.

Theyve always been great and consistent across their stores. As I get into the store, there is someone to help out to find what Im looking for. When I asked for some reference, they were so good to pin point the location from where ever they are.. nicely administered..

I shop here abt 6 times a year and today was exceptional. I was greeted within seconds of entering the store and guided to what I was looking for. In the meantime another associate came to help me and led me to what I needed next. The cashiers were friendly & efficient.

No value for costumer service at this store, especially if you want balloons filled. They act overwhelmed and try to charge for every small detail. They showed the attitude that they dont want to take balloon orders. After paying over $40 for 3 small bunches of balloons (I already had my own Mylar balloons), when I went to pickup, I had to wait and 3 balloons were not even fully filled up. I go to Bridgewater store all the time and they are so nice there.

I wish it were possible toggle 0 stars. My roommate and I had terrible experience here. All we wanted to do was look at the costumes we were inquiring about buying. But a very very nasty rude man would not let us. He literally followed us around the store! I had never been treated this way in my life. He would not stop staring at us and then finally came up to us and said we cannot do that. We grabbed a costume, opened it up to make sure everything was fine- low and behold, it wasnt!! I will never give business here.

So I am just back from a much awaited trip to this store (today is Feb 15, time 8:50 PM)to buy stuff for my daughters party and the store supervisor behaved so badly we had to leave all the balloons there and leave after we paid for the stuff in our cart ( since we value our time). Here are some ways this store defeated our love for the store:- To my questions on balloon options, the answers given by the supervisor were rude and not helpful- she asked me to step back from the counter door in a strong loud voice, when I had no intention of crossing the barrier- we were asked to move from one billing counter to another twice by the supervisor with impunity.- The balloons we wanted were only on display but not available for saleI will NEVER ever go back to this store assuming she might still b working there! Horrible person!

I need to give a special mention to the staff. They are always around to assist you. The store gets little bit crowded on weekends. The experience that we had in renting speakers and mics for a party was really smooth. The website which shows availability of products is also useful. The store in general has more collection.

My customer service representative was extremely helpful, she went above and beyond making sure Im satisfied. I believe her name was Dominique (might be wrong at spelling) but she was absolutely amazing!

This store is HORRIBLE. THE WORST. The Manager named Susan is very rude. The associates follow you EVERYWHERE you go. The Manager was very rude even to her own employees. At the time i went the store owner was there and he was as well extremely mean and nasty to the employees and customers. This store has puppets walking around everywhere and by the way they have a code called “PARTY TIME” which basically points out that they think someone is stealing! How do I know? I was in aisle 2 with my daughter and an employee was next to me when his walkie went off saying “Party time 2” and then after a minute 3 employees came from NO WHERE and just tried to act casual by fixing little things on the shelves? What other possible thing could that mean? I recommend no one come to this store unless you settle for terrible customer service.

Things I buy from party city are good most of the time, but sometimes they dont last even a single day. And you cannot return or exchange them. So id suggest to check everything before putting it in your cart

To my surprise i had an actual pleasant visit here, staff members were nice and friendly and helped with what i was looking for with no attitude and the girl knew exactly what i needed and where they were located in the store .. way better and helpful customer service unlike the one in Woodbridge !

Please shoppers do not come to this store specially with your children, the staff follows you everywhere you go to make sure the children do not break anything or eat candy, my 4 year old used a whistle and one of the staff members immediately approached me and charged me for it saying that is was not sanitary which is understandable; however, they were rude and very impolite and unfriendly towards me and my children, I was harrased over a 40 cent item.When I went to pay they informed me that they do not take coupons on balloons, which I found shocking as I use the same coupon year after year, the cashier stated that the owner from the store does not take coupons on balloons, meaning it is just that horrible store. The Manager was an Indian man with terrible costumer service skills. This store does not represent what Party City is. My children and I were mistreated on top of the cheap horrible owner not taking coupons towards balloons which is ridiculous as that is the only store that does that. I will never ever go to that store again and I will call the corporate office to report that horrible store that makes their own rules.

Went to the store a week ago, with my teenage son, to place an order for a balloon bouquet to be picked up tonight. Spent considerable time w/what seemed to be a manager attempting to expedite our order. My son was very careful picking out certain balloons he liked and keeping the size of the bouquet down, because his girlfriend will be carrying them around school all day tomorrow. When we were done, the manager handed our items over to a cashier to be held for inflation and pickup today. Since she told the cashier nothing, we basically had to start at the very beginning with her, explaining they were for an order to be picked up today, and pointing out to her that she needed to make note of the name we wanted printed on the personalized balloon in our order. Despite spelling S-o-f-i-a multiple times, the cashier kept writing Sophia. We finally straightened it out, and had our order set for me to pick up at 5PM tonight (when my son was not home).Upon my arrival at 5:45PM tonight, not only was our order not ready, they couldnt find any record of it. I showed them the yellow Customer Copy I had, and they asked for the paid cash register receipt. I explained I didnt have it, because I was told I ONLY needed the yellow slip upon pickup. A young lady took over and told me to just tell her exactly what balloons were ordered. The specific balloon numbers were NOT listed on the yellow copy and I did not know for sure which ones my son had picked out. I had to guess and am still not sure I got the right ones. The lady helping me said she could give me a much larger personalized balloon. I explained that wouldnt help in this case, as my son specifically was keeping it small. She said she could add latex balloons to the order. Although I think it was obvious, I had to explain that wouldnt help me for the same reason. She also said she could throw in a weight to hold the bouquet down. I said considering we paid for one that was supposed to be put aside, that too wouldnt compensate. As I stood waiting for the personalization to be done, she said Im sorry, we dont have any Ps left in blue. As Im sure you can imagine, I was trying very hard to keep my cool this whole time. When she said that, I said, Well, good thing, since, if you look at the paper, you will see there is NO P in her name!! She got all snippy and said, Listen, Im trying very hard to accommodate you, theres no reason for you to have an attitude with me! ARE YOU SERIOUS??!! I said, YOU listen, under the circumstances, I am doing a GREAT job at not losing my temper. YOUR store screwed up, and I think I have a right to be a little frustrated! YOU have no right to be snippy with ME!! Allow me to deal with my frustration. You need to make it right!! She slipped away a moment later and handed the job off to a younger girl (seems to be a pattern). When it was done, and I looked at the personalized balloon, it clearly had a spot on BOTH sides where it should be personalized. I asked Dont you put the name on both sides? and the explanation I got was that most people dont see the other side when they order the balloon, since theyre displayed flat on the wall, so they dont order letters for the other side. Again, ARE YOU SERIOUS??!! Between both visits, she was the FOURTH person to help us, and not one of them said anything about the name on the other side. It looks incomplete.When I was finally handed the bouquet, I asked So, youre not going to do anything to compensate me for all of this aggravation? No credit/discount/nothing? I was told Youll have to take that up with the manager, and they pointed to the young lady who was snippy and had walked away. So, I asked her the same question. The response she gave me was All I can do is offer you more balloons in your order. REALLY??!! You just let a customer walk out of your store aggravated?!! How about credit for future balloons/adding the name on BOTH sides (which should be explained when its purchased anyway) ALONG with apologizing!! VERY unprofessional!!!!

5 small balloons or one big one what is that..idk helium restriction or something and over priced...dollar store much better for bolloons...dont get ripped off

I bought two different pairs of satin gloves ($10 and $12) to potentially wear to a 1920s-themed wedding, and before paying I asked about the return policy because I wasnt sure which ones Id end up using. I was told that as long as the package wasnt opened and I had the receipt, Id get a full refund. I ended up not wearing either pair, but when I went to return them, the woman in charge of doing the returns told me theyd only take one pair back because the other had been opened. I was speechless because I obviously hadnt opened either package, so I asked her to clarify how she figured that was possible, and all she did was repeat that it had been opened. I examined the package as she handed it back to me and couldnt for the life of me figure out what she was talking about, so I asked yet again, to which she repeated that the package had been opened and was not returnable. I clearly wasnt getting anywhere with someone who couldnt actually evidence to me what she was talking about, so I went to the Bridgewater store instead, where they happily did my return without so much as batting an eye. Needless to say I wont be going back here for any future purchases. As it turns out, Amazon has a much better selection of the same kinds of gloves anyway, including ones that are cheaper and come with free 2-day shipping--oh yea, and their return policy isnt a joke...

I got all my proposal requirements when I was in New Jersey. The staff was friendly and things were arranged and displayed perfectly.

I ordered item online. so that the store pick would be easy. you reach there to realize that there are only 2 people behind for check out and one of them been JANI who dont know was taking his own sweet time in scanning the items been least bothered of the check out line. It took me 20 mins for an item that was ordered online to pay and pick up from store. You would assume they would have separate counter for online orders which isnt the case here. Secondly this guy has absolutely no courtesy and no customer service manner. So if at all you decide to buy from this store, just pray that this JANI doesnt check you out otherwise give yourself extra 30 mins.
