I went in to fill my propane tanks for my travel trailer. I thought they were 30 pounds and they charged me according to what I told them. When I went in the back, the gentleman said that they were only 20 pounds and they have me a refund. Honestly goes a long way! Even though I am not here often, I will make sure to let others know. I also believe that the price is fair at $21.00 to refill it. I used to go to home depot and I have gotten tanks from Home depot that arent as heavy. I am confident that they filled my tanks all the way here. No more Home depot! Thanks for your honesty and its time to give back to the local vendors!

I went for high quality grass seed and salt hay (or similar) to cover, so my needs were specific, and they had what I needed. The gentleman that helped me was very informative and knowledgeable, telling me the necessary steps for successful grass growing. Very helpful.

Great place for feed n propane

Been filling my grill tanks here for years and been buying my animal feed for the 🦌 🦌 🦌 to eat always good service and never an issue

Good prices for pigeon seeds (purgrain brand). However the seeds are housed in a back room where you cant see them. An attendant brought them out for us to see, so no big deal.

Nischwitz is my go-to place for propane, solar salt and various yard supplies. Family owned, they have been servicing the area for many years. The staff is knowledgeable and their customer service is excellent. Nice people, competitive pricing. Good selection of feed, yard supplies, and pet suppliesHighly recommend

Jeff and Nischwitz as a whole are one of the old time stores that make up the character of the area and are the last of an old time business. Are they perfect, no one is but they try to help you and provide the best service they can. They are the very last farm, feed and hay store in the area. Without them we lose the last of the farming generation that made up this area. Support them and remember, no one is perfect.

I can get anything for my rescued backyard chickens there. Prices are comparable to other farm supply stores so I dont have to drive far to get what I need.

I used them for many years. I ordered oil from them once or twice a year. They also serviced my furnace. When my furnace broke down last year, the mechanic explained that the boiler had not been serviced.... or cleaned after I had paid Nischwitz $100 to service it two months prior .They hadnt cleaned out the dirtiest section... why wouldnt you clean out the furnace when someones paying you $100?That workers laziness caused my furnace to break down in the middle of winter. ! When I called and explained to them about the clogged furnace, they couldnt care less.

Old school kind of shop, written receipts and all, but with that personal kind of care you dont see in the chain pet stores. Prices much better too. I genereally go for the wood pellet litter for my rabbits litter boxes, less than half the price of pellet litter at the chain stores.

Picked up Straw for grass. Weird name but a big place.

This is a neighborhood store that meets my needs. Use it to refill propane for grill, buy cat food and yard needs. The guys who work in the store very halpfull.

Go if you have to. Refueled here every other day for 2 months. Inconsistent service, very rude staff, and not timely. Only business of this type in the area so it’s a must for some but do not recommend.

It was like a good cop bad cop or should I say bad cop good cop. The guy at the counter probably own the place and was very very nasty but the guy in the back that gave me my product was a very impressive man so its mixed feelings .
