I have been a Petro customer for years and I am always satisfied with their service, from furnace oil deliveries, to water heater installation, to yearly furnace maintenance, I have no complaints. The service person who performed the maintenance was professional and friendly. I recommend Petro Home Services.

As20+yrs of being Petro People we cant recommend this company as anything but the best at what they do. Either servicing our heat and cold needs and selling fuel oil, they rate 5+ stars in our estimation.

Petro is an outstanding, honest and caring company. The people that answer the phones, the supervisors, the service people, good old fashioned customer oriented company. When their phone lines are busy there is an option to have someone call you back, they really do call you back, they just cant do enough for their customers. Their main focus really is the customer, it sounds corny but its 100% true. If you should have an issue with anything, they want to fix that immediately. I happen to have an oil furnace, i purchased a service plan that covers parts and labor on anything that could go wrong, at a super low price, so worth it. I wouldnt trust anybody else to handle my oil deliveries and service. All this is really true i have been with them for over 30 years. Check them out.

Petro is a very reliable company. My mom has this company for years and we have never been dissatisfied with their services. Whenever we call for service, we have always had same day service, even on weekends. Thank you Petro!!!!!

Petro sent a technician very quickly when I reported that my furnace was not working. The technician, Joshua, was courteous, observed all the safety measures, and was careful not to track sodden leaves into my house. He complelted the annual furnace tune-up while he was here. I have always been very satisfied with Petro and with my service contract.

I knew I needed help with my water level sensor on my boiler. I was willing to wait until December for my tune up appointment, but when the phone assistant Katherine/Catherine understood my concern, she was able to set up an appointment with a technician the same day. I was grateful because that is exactly what the technician had to replace.

What a wonderful service provider to have i called after 8pm. Was told a tech would arrive between 9 and 11 the tech arrived at ten after nine and had my heat working before 9:30. No complaints on my end

The Petro rep who was just here was polite, efficient and competent.

I’ve been with Petro for about 11 years. Any time I place a service call my response time is usually around 2-3 hrs depends on the type of service needed . If it’s a emergency I had service 30 mins. It’s a peace of mind knowing they on call 365 days with 24 hr service. Thank you keep up ur good work

The installation department at Petro is extremely unprofessional and unreliable. The management team will placated you and will not get on the phone to deal directly with you. They have no regard for your time so be prepared to have appointments “scheduled “, Waite all day only to find out that no one was actually scheduled to come to your property. There is no follow up from management team or from customer service. You will only matter to this company when they are trying to sell you a product. I called Wednesday morning and the service was there in the same afternoon. I know the serviceman from previous visits. He is knowledgeable and friendly. He fixed the problem promptly. I have had Petro service, also under several other previous names, for over 40 years for a reason.

I needed shut off valves installed and replaced on my water lines and was very pleased by the service I received from Larry. He was very knowledgeable, professional, sincere and knew exactly how to fix my problem. He was a pleasure to work with and I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing plumbing work done.

The HVAC Tech was Very knowledgeable of his trade, neat & respectful.

Worse ever stay away stay away they will over charge you like no tomorrow and forget about customer service that’s a joke.

The repairman( who has serviced our system before), was great. Very helpful and thorough. I appreciated the time he took to explain things and check the system. He is a very valued employee.

I usually have a nice experience with Petro, the techs that are sent out are helpful and professional. When I call in I do get positive service, for instance the service date I had in place was for this Dec Thurs 13th but our unit was completely off and not working due to needing the annual tune up and when I called in to Petro yesterday Sunday morning they sent a tech right out for arrival between 1pm - 4pm and he actually arrived earlier at 11am which was fine because our heat was off and home was freezing cold.Tech was helpful and took care of servicing unit, had it going briefly and heat is now working good.Only down side is the service / oil is expensive... but i do understand you pay for what you get!

My hot water heater started leaking bad Monday morning. I called in to schedule an appointment and was first given a window of 1-4 which wasn’t that bad since I called at 9:30 however in 10min I received a call right back moving my apt up to in the next 15-20min since they had a tech in my area that finished early. The tech came and deemed that we needed a new one. He got on the phone with sales to get a quote which was super reasonable and sales was able to come out and install it at noon! Everything was all done by 2:30 ..I was shocked at how quickly and efficiently this was handled! Thank you for not letting my family and I spend a night without hot water

Don’t usually leave reviews good or bad but Petro customer service and response time has been great. Pleasant to deal with and reliable. Which is comforting when you are stuck with no heat.

The technician showed up prior to 9-12 pm window and fixed my broken sight glass.Then showed me how to drain my steam boiler.Which helped since I had no clue because we just bought our house. Then he helped me realize that no matter if I move to a warmer climate after the three years my body will become acclimated to the climate and that 65 will feel like 25 and there goes my warm climate move

Great service. My heating system stoped working. Petro scheduled a technician to come same day. Tech arrived and fixed the problem. I suggest you purchase their Premium plan if you have an old heating system. These contract covers a lot of issues and parts old oil systems, like mine, have.

Serviceman arrived within the time period arranged. I appreciate that the same person has been our serviceman for several years. Dont expect this with large companies these days but its nice to have someone who has been to the house in the past.

They were very quick and responsive in getting a service tech out to my house to address my boiler issue. The service tech that came out to address the issue with my boiler was very informative and honest and clear with what the issue was and what our options were.

We have had Petro Oil Service since Whaleco and must say service has been always courteous and responsive. The latest call was to repair a 24 year old heat pump. Unit stopped functioning about 7 am, in 8 degree weather, called customer service scheduled a technician for 5 PM, technician arrived at 3 PM and unit was working by 4:30 PM. I don;t think you can get better service than that.

Our heat went out last night. The technician came at 11pm and replaced our thermostat and got us up and running again! He was great!

For my first experience it was amazing. Tech showed up on time, very nice man, extremely professional. Saw the issue, replace the part, tetsed everything good to go....it was just that easy.

I just switched to petro this season, and I’m so glad I did. So far they’ve come out to us twice on a weekend and their customer service has been excellent. Highly recommended!

Excellent service. I called at midnight for a repairman to fix my oil burner. Someone came 1/2 hour later at 12:30 a.m. He quickly found the problem, replaced a part and soon I had heat.

After buying house, I called them to transfer service to my name. Their technician came out and tells us tank is too old, cant refill it. Funny, they refilled it a month back. It seems they are pushing to buy new tank from them even though tank is in good shape. Seller gave us service certificate which is transferrable, but they wont accept it. They dont honor their own word.

I just bought a new home and was having issues getting an oil company to fill my tank for heating. Petro really came through and helped me in every way while helping me feel confident that I was going to be taken care of.

Oil to natural gas conversion and AC unit instillation.Unfortunately the entire experience beyond the workers themselves was unpleasant. Petro accidentally filled my oil tank after it was scheduled for removal, which led to a billing issue that required multiple phone calls. Petro also sent the wrong permit requirements and continued to blame my township for their mistake when it clearly was petros fault that the 13k job being done was delayed for 4 weeks. Then after the work was done my water pressure was messed up and my specialized yoga mat was gone. I 100% doubt they stole my yoga mat, but I 100% do believe it was accidentally taken or thrown away. So the manager who calls me to rectify the situation jokes that he can guarantee his workers aren’t doing yoga, but offers a $50 credit to my account for the mat that coast me $80. The water pressure issue was resolved after they sent out a technician to fix it. So long story short I gave this 2 stars as it was a 6 week headache for something that I paid 13k for, and to be honest no one was actually apologetic when the issues were discussed. If I could go back I would use another agency, and only used petro because other places didn’t even mention the requirements of permits, which seemed shady to me.

Do NOT go with this company unless you have serious money to throw away. We were a customer for a little over thirty years and they put us on a monthly plan of around $200 a month (to help spread the cost of heating oil over the year) but we found a new company that has so far charged us roughly $300 for the ENTIRE year so far. The new oil heating company can not believe how much Petro has ripped us off.

Called Petro in the morning with no hot water and they accommodated my schedule so the repair could be done that same day when someone would be home. The tech got right to work, then explained the situation and in less than 30 minutes the problem was taken care of.

So I guess the stories about Petro are true...... They suck! 2 coldest days of the season thus far and all their customer service can tell my husband is Im sorry we cant make it today! They have been telling us this for four days. I can honestly say all of the literature that was sent to me to solicit our bussiness were lies! They are not as great as they say they are!

This is a company that only cares about their bottom line. Customer service here is a myth. There are smaller and more competitive companies that do the same thing only better.

Im happy to announce I am finally free of Petro! Worst company Ive ever done business with, hands down! They accused me of lying about getting oil from someone else because we were exclusively heating with wood. They basically refused to close my account, and they tried to wrongfully charge me for a service contract. Stay away!

What is the point of having a 24 hours line when they dont answer it. Terrible service. I have a service contract but if they dont answer the phone it is WORTHLESS.

They forgot to fill oil with there service and it ran out. When calling they said they had a lot of calls and could not get there. When the service tech finally came he said that was his first call of the day for someone running out and it was 6:30 at night.

The absolute RUDEST person I have ever spoken to on the phone. I was just trying to get heating oil delivered, I asked one question, the man had a nasty attitude and hung up on me. I would pay triple from another company before giving this place my business!!!
