Lots and lots of great display kitchens!

Terrible service, poor communication.Ordered an item that arrived broken and flooded our kitchen. Mountainland wanted us to have it repaired instead of replacing it with a new one. The entire process took a year to resolve with the burden on us to ask for updates. While I understand that COVID has caused ordering delays, we still deserve to be treated kindly and should receive updates about replacements.

This review is a bit past due but I had a GREAT experience with Mountain Land Design this past year when it was such a challenge to get everything needed to tackle a kitchen remodel. I was initially hesitant to spend much time in the MLD showroom because everything seemed so very high-end and the front desk receptionist asked if I had an appointment. But as I walked the showroom and later met up with Jake, I was very impressed with the selection, the pricing and how much Jake knew about each brand and model. The lines of communication with Jake and his team were great throughout the entire process. After the appliances were delivered (ahead of the estimated delivery date by the way) Jake was quick to return my calls when I had questions regarding installation and how to operate the ovens. Hope I never do another kitchen remodel but, if I do, I’ll absolutely look for appliances from Mountain Land Design!!

What started as a tough service experience transformed into a highly responsive, high touch and hands on experience, focused on making things right for the customer. Following initial issues with an order, Brendan, Joe and Dan worked incredibly hard to rectify the situation, searching their warehouse for replacement products and arranging for next day delivery (personally delivered by Brandon) and installation, turning a 3 month+ potential delay into an on-schedule order.A big thank you to Brendan, Joe and Dan for making this right and going above and beyond to make this a great customer experience. I would highly recommend mountain land design.

My wife and I had an fantastic experience here today. Our sales representative, Brendan, was extremely knowledgeable in all the appliances we were looking at. The showrooms were amazing with just about every known product on display. This is the only place I would recommend anyone that is building a new home to go to see and hear it all. I would give this place and our representative 10 stars if I could!

Great service and selection if you are looking for high end finishings and appliances.

Terrible customer service We called to see if we needed an appointment and was told if we came after 1 pm we could be a walk in. So we arrived about 2 p.m. There was a young lady behind the counter who did not look up or greet us when we came in. After a few minutes of standing I went over an asked if we could get some help. A gentleman was standing by the desk and said sure. He mentioned 4 names to the girl to call to get us help. We were instructed to wait in entrance area for someone to come. We stood for 15 minutes. The place was not busy with customers. I went back to the girl and asked if we could walk around on our own. She said yes and she would have the salesperson find us. We walked around and after another 30 min a girl came into our area and asked if someone had been looking for help. Another man who had just walked in spoke up immediately and said he could use help and she went off with him. The girl at desk could have given the salesperson a description of who she was supposed to locate. We were the only couple in the showroom and dressed in bright clothing. So after 45 min we got no info or answers. You better make appointment with specific person if you want any service here.

My fiance john & i used mountain land design for sourcing all plumbing fixtures, hardware, & appliances in building our park city home this past year. we absolutely loved working with nick barnes in selecting appropriate fixtures & materials for our modern minimalist home design & build. nick has a terrific eye, & made the entire process from selection to delivery/installation, efficient, streamlined, & enjoyable. mountain land design’s selection is solid, & nick further helped us choose appropriate smart home compatible hardware. we both so appreciate nick‘s extensive industry experience, background in design, & warm personality.we had a similarly enjoyable experience working with lori margetts to select all appliances. she helped us source the best wolf, sub zero, asko, & electrolux appliances for our needs.

Horrible customer service. Products show up months later then your told. Products is nice but not worth time and frustration!!

Spent a small fortune here on high end appliances. Thermador stove after 9 months has had multiple problems and we have been without for 6 weeks waiting for warranty. Microwave has started on fire 4 times. Been waiting for a new one under warranty for 2 months. Troy was great in selling us new products but poor in following through with claims. How did we spend over 40k and have 2 faulty units? Why can’t we get set appointments for service instead of the run around.Save your money and buy elsewhere where service is a priority as is customer service. Selling is easy, servicing requires a greater commitment, which apparently Mountain Land does not have.

Jake Buhler is a 5 Star Salesman and Customer Care Professional; very knowledgeable, very responsive, very friendly and knows how to hear what the client is asking for to help the client make decisions. I first met Jake when I was needing to buy a full kitchen appliance package. I was interested in a low profile line which required using a few different brands to meet my specific needs. Jakes knowledge of so many product lines and his willingness to take time to work with me, send me pics and specs, and answer my questions made making my big ticket purchase easy. A few months later, we were ready to install the appliances and were challenged with how to set up the refrigerator. I called Jake and was SOOO impressed with his immediate support and OUTSTANDING service. In one phone call he took the time to talk (no call back), gave me an excellent installation reference (who was also super responsive) and actioned sending me the fridge specs I needed for custom panels. All same day and followed up with me the next day to ensure I got what I needed. In that phone call, I talked about needing a wine fridge and after giving him what I wanted and my budget, he sent me some product lines, with quotes and specs - giving me all one needs to make a decision. Which I did! I highly recommend working with Jake! Thank you Jake for your excellent customer care!

Worse customer service at Salt Lake location.Waited more than 30 minutes for assistance, asked receptionist for a customer rep. Another 30 minutes waiting, no one showed up.

I am currently building my home and worked with Jake Buhler on all my appliances. He has been SOOO great to work with! Responsive,knowledgeable, kind, patient, helpful,not pushy at all and has provided me with exceptional customer service. I have really enjoyed working with him and would highly recommend him!!!

She is always helpful and willing to see a job through to the end and never misses a step. Beautiful show room, lots of options...but lets hope you dont have any problems with any of the products purchased. Poor Customer Service and not willing to help or even listen. We had to call three times in the first two years. And this last time they told us that they cant/wont do anything for us. I said, can I contact the whirlpool rep, and they said they would pass along my information and it never happened. Great store...but I am happy to go elsewhere when designing and furnishing my home.

Not the best experience so far. It feels like the sales rep is trying to hike up prices after he quoted us a price via email. So here’s what happened, we reached out to the sales consultant regarding a rangetop we really wanted that our homebuilder could not get with their guy. Planning on the price the sales consultant quoted us, we knew which direction we would need to go. So we reached out to our home builder to let them know that they were able to provide us with this specific rangetop. So then the builder was able to accommodate our needs by getting our appliances through mountain land. Now that we have a plan in place, the sales consultant told us the price was not right and increased it quite a bit. It does not seem ethical at all. I would like to remedy by speaking to someone high in the ranks so that they can explain to me why we’re price gouging after being quoted. I’ll update this as we go.

Alisha was very helpful, kind and understanding. I had specific requirements for what I wanted to get and she was accommodating. When it came to order, she sat down with us and made sure we were getting exactly what we wanted, even though it took her more time. She was responsive over email and in person.The folks in the warehouse were super helpful. The product was not damaged at all and came with everything I needed to install it.Great people, great products, great handling! Thank you for all of the help.

We had them do a partial kitchen remodel in an older home. The new area blends in perfectly with the old. We appreciate the great design advice. And it was done via email and phone calls because we live part-time in another state. Very professional and trustworthy.

This is not the first house they furnished for us. Every time, they have the quality and price in any combination you want, expertise in all the appliances with their features and quality factors, and no nonsense. You know what you are getting, and the price is always reasonable. And yes, I comparison shop. That way I know exactly what I am getting and exactly where the value and the price come from. Oh, and their customer service is definitely up several notches from others.

Simply the worst customer service I’ve ever received. Delays, incorrect orders, and excuses. Of course, when I asked to speak to the manager, they weren’t available so I spoke with their assistant. They told me they’d call me back with info on the missing product. Naturally, I didn’t receive a call back. I also don’t expect the owner to respond to my comment on here because he ONLY comments on those individuals who provide great reviews. He’s a little short-sighted and doesn’t realize he needs to respond to everyone. The poor customer service clearly comes from the top down.

If your looking to upgrade, remodel, or build your home, this place has amazing stuff. I enjoyed all the displays and my options felt unlimited. The variety and quality is what made me choose this place instead of Home Depot or Lowes. I was able to shop around while getting a feel for the place without the pressure.

Mountain Land Design has been essential for getting our kitchen remodel just right. Brittany can give you actual information about many different product brands and models. She helped us decide where we really wanted to spend our dollars in our appliance budget. I feel like they have something for anyones price point. Everyone there is knowledgeable and friendly. They came to the house several times to check measurements and details. And I love the showroom to be able to see, touch and use lots of different products. You work on what you want within your budget and they take care of everything else. I would recommend them to anyone.

Jerri helped us with our hardware for our new home and everything turned out beautiful! She quickly accessed our style, needs and wants and made them fit for our budget. She was amazing to work with and we couldn’t be happier with the end result!

This is the best showroom I have ever seen for high end Appliances, Plumbing Hardware, Bath Tubs and Lighting. The most interactive showroom I have visited where you can actually see the functionality of the product you want to purchase. overall layout is very impressive. I would be very jealous if I were a competitor!

The perfect experience -- wide inventory (thats actually connected so you can really understand how it works, the sounds it makes, the operating controls), extremely knowledgeable and forthright staff, terrific follow-through. Nothing like it! They even followed up with suggestions on a problem were having with an appliance in California that we didnt buy from them.

We went to the annual clearance sale and worked with Alicia. We had a great experience on the sales floor - she got us what we needed and was flexible on price. We had to take delivery by a certain date, and the house wasnt ready so after scheduling the delivery at the house, we had to change the delivery location. They told us they would call to confirm delivery location the night before but they didnt, and showed up at the house. Fortunately someone was there and got in touch with us. So in short, great experience with sales, but make sure you communicate about delivery.

Met with Brendan Murphy and discussed the various ranges that interested me. He was very knowledgeable about all the products they carried. I had made up my mind that I wanted a Wolf range but wasnt quite sure which one. Brendan helped me decide on the GR484DG. I love the idea of a 24 griddle for pancakes, burgers, bacon etc..My one concern is that the installer and salespeople should be on the same page when it comes to gas line placement. There is considerable wiggle room on the placement of the gas valve and line outside of Wolfs spec sheet. This may be more of an issue with Wolf but certainly the installer can make the salespeople aware that there is wiggle room on this issue. The reason I bring this up is that Brendan told me there is absolutely no wiggle room on the placement of the electric hookup and gas hookup. It caused quite a bit of extra work in our case that didnt need to be done.I am still waiting for the cooking class(es) before I can completely review my experience. So far, its been pretty good.

I had heard from others they were priced high but after getting many quotes for appliances and cabinet pulls they always were very reasonable. Great customer service as well. Definitely recommend.

A cabinet designer recommended Mountain Land Design for mid-high range appliances. I stopped by thinking it might be a little expensive, but as I compared prices with larger appliance stores, Mountain Lands prices were generally about $100 less. We ended up purchasing a slide-in range and microwave from Mountain Land. I ordered the appliances while out of town for spring break and Dave was great to stay in touch with me and keep me updated on the process. Working with Mountain Land was a very positive experience and I would highly recommend them.

We just remodeled our kitchen. Mountain Land offered an excellent selection of premium brands, and, in every single case, they beat the price of competitors, even beating Home Depot and Amazon. The service is great, and the showroom is amazing. Our kitchen is now the dream kitchen we always wanted.

Ive been buying appliances from Mountain Land since they opened there doors. I have always been treated fair. The few times there has been problems. Mountain Land has stepped up and taken care. I have purchased 100s of sets for homes I have built. I have there appliances in my own home. You cant go wrong buying from Mountain Land.

Had refrigerator delivery scheduled today, it was inadvertently scheduled to come to my billing address instead of INTENDED condo in Park City. Robert was AWESOME about addressing the problem, accommodating that delivery later the same day, and keeping me posted on their arrival time!! So, so helpful.Mountain land is ALWAYS the best place and generally the only place I will go for my appliances, hardware, plumbing, etc...

Purchasing my appliances from Mountainland Design was definitely the worst experience of my remodel. An absolute nightmare. I purchased a total of 6 appliances from them, and had serious issues with three of those. The first was a Sub-Zero refrigerator. I had been in discussions with one of the salesmen for several weeks about a model with ice and water in the door. It was extremely clear from all of our conversations that that was what I wanted. When I purchased the refrigerator and it was delivered, however, I discovered that the refrigerator I had been sold had no water or ice at all. I pointed this out and the salesman told me to come at a certain time in one month and he would exchange it. I was confused, but when I showed up at the time designated, I found it was their annual sale, and I had to stand in the snow and rain for 90 minutes with other customers, then run inside to the floor model fridge he wanted to swap me for. Only when I reached the fridge, he told me, oh no, I just found out there has been a mistake and I cant sell you this fridge for 4 more months. Whilst we were eventually able to swap the fridge, it was not for the model I thought I had originally purchased, but rather, we had to settle for one with an interior water and ice dispenser. We also bought a Meile steam oven, which it turns out had been dropped and broken irreparably. Although there own repairman had been the one to say it couldnt be repaired, it took another trip by the salesman and 7 weeks to get it replaced. Finally, I bought a used Cornufe stove that had a chipped door and drawer. I paid extra to have those replaced at the end of February. By the end September, they had still not come. In the meantime, I discovered that the stove they had sold me was not actually eligible to be sold, as it was reported to the manufacturer as broken and they had been refunded the money for it. (The stove was not actually broken; it worked perfectly) The Cornufe rep told me it was to have been shipped back to them. Although Mountainland eventually replaced the stove itself, they refuse to refund the money for the door and drawer front, which I paid for, but do not have, (because they removed the door with the broken stove, and did not deliver the drawer front). Additionally, they also billed me $9100 for the replacement stove, which obviously was a panic moment. I have sent them numerous messages asking for the refund, or the door and drawer front I paid for, which they have ignored. Avoid this company; Ive never had such a poor experience with a company in my life.

Redid our kitchen a few years ago with them and it was a great experience. They took a lot of time with us to get all the choices right. Nice salespeople. No pressure.

Lori M. is amazing with her knowledge and customer service! Other salespeople have left us hanging for answers but Lori is quick with facts and actually gets back with information she may not have on hand. Very pleasant lady!Well so much for a great review of Mountain Land Design. Lori was very difficult to reach after our $40K appliance install. We asked to deal with a different sales rep and Mountain Land did a decent job of getting our issues addressed. I do like how the others helped but disappointed in some of the products. Our Zepher wine cooler quit 8 months later and I am dealing with Zepher to try and fix it.

Mountainland offers superb service in all departments. I had several questions regarding a couple of complex installations, one for hardware and another for a kitchen appliance. Both representatives I worked with were sincerely interested in helping resolve the concerns/ questions I had. I highly recommend going to Mountainland for your next project. You will not be disappointed. Their showroom is also large and very helpful. Many products are available on display to touch and try out.

Best Place to buy Appliances hands down.Showroom allows you to see it all put together and the staffs extreme product knowledge should be a benchmark for all appliance shops.

Mountain Land Design always goes the extra mile to see things are completed even in difficult situations and circumstances. If its not right they make it right. The true measure of a company is what they do when there is a problem.

This place is great to deal with. I got a bunch of kitchen appliances from them and couldnt be happier. They have super high end options and regular level options also. I got a little bit of both. I have a Wolf cook top, a Maytag fridge, Kitchenaid oven and a super quiet range hood. The person that helped me also knew a lot more about what I needed to get for a built in microwave. I shopped at the big box stores and the people that worked there had no idea what they were talking about. I would recommend Mountainland Design to anyone. Oh yeah, they had a better price on my Maytag fridge then Home Depot did, and it was on sale at Home Depot.

We purchased a Range, Microwave, Sink and Dishwasher from Mountain Land Design. The dishwasher needed to be ordered. We were told it was two weeks out. After 2 weeks, my wife called and left messages several times. We were never called back. We went to the store and found out that the wrong product was ordered and that it would now be an additional 2-4 weeks to get the correct dishwasher in. They offered to expedite it if we would pay an additional 75$. We cancelled the order and went to Orson Gygi who had the correct dishwasher in less than a week. The customer service is atrocious. I would avoid Mountain Land Design. We are still awaiting our refund from their accounting dept. Worst customer service ever.

What a great showroom. Got me some Thermador products. What a great new look Thermador has come with, not to mention all the new features (wifi connect capability) sub-zero/wolf has a lot to do to catch up if they want to charge more for their products.

Ive worked with Keene for years, and Ive never received any service that was less than perfect! Amazing company and amazing service!

The purchase process was excellent. The displays at Mountainland of the kitchen appliances are the best.Follow up for the delivery schedule was good until the actual delivery date was set. I needed and requested an afternoon delivery and was told that would be communicated to the delivery team. (My salesperson had assured me when she made her site visit that the delivery included unboxing and haul away of the packing materials. She even recounted a time when she made delivery come back to get material they did not initially haul away.)Then, later the same day as the request for a pm delivery, I got a robo call stating delivery would be 9 to noon. My attempts to get it changed to PM were to no avail. Apparently delivery could not be reached at 3:30pm.So we hustled to try to chip the ice off the sidewalks (we were told we had to do this for delivery) and get protective paper in place early in the morning. When appliances started coming in, only the sub zero was completely unpacked and material hauled away. I told the delivery guys that they were supposed to unpack and remove the packaging but they just argued with me. They even left a huge wood pallet with the cooktop still fully boxed and strapped to it. The oven was partially unpacked but then they left the oven box to protect the floor from the pallet that I did not want either. Finally after my multiple requests for them to unpack, they said they do not unpack anything that has separate parts but they would come get the material on another trip to Park City. Except the one big Subzero, nothing was completely unpacked with material hauled away.I called the next day when the installers had unpacked everything to request pickup of all the packing material. More runaround occurred. There does not seem to be a policy about what is to be unpacked and removed. They kept asking me specifically what had or had not been unpacked. I offered to send photos but no one wanted them. And apparently the Manager was not able to make a decision and get back with me. I then called the salesperson who told me Mountainland would unpack and remove material but was told maybe she could get the installer (separate company) to take care of it. The installers are gone. My dining room is piled full of Styrofoam, cardboard, plastic, wood and strapping material and no one at Mountainland is standing behind their word. For appliances that cost the equivalent of a new car, I expected delivery to unpack as promised and not leave me with a house full of trash!Get the delivery and packaging removal in writing before you buy or think about another source. Still waiting Mountainland. I will update this post if something changes.Mountainland did come through with picking up the packing material. My sales person said she would take care of it herself if delivery did not take care of it. Upgrading from 3 to 4.

I loved working with Alisha at Mountainland. She was an invaluable resource to me while I was selecting and choosing appliances for my kitchen during a remodeling project. They also matched big box sale prices on the refrigerator. I did a lot of research on-line and exhausted myself looking just about everywhere at appliances. Mountainland was able to get everything I wanted. The delivery men were professional and very capable as were the warehouse people when I went to pick up the cooktop. The showroom is an excellent place to start as many items are on display. Ive already told my friends to start and end at Mountainland.

Great service! Great products!

Wasted nearly 3 months working with MLD. We purchased a Jenn-Air 42-inch refrigerator from MLD in July to replace our old 42-inch Jenn-Air. Our sales guy, Paul, assured us that he would visit our home prior to the refrigerator delivery to measure the opening and ensure a proper fit. No visit or measurements took place. Fridge was delivered a couple of weeks later, and the installer informed us that he couldnt make it fit without some cabinet modifications (even though it should have been a drop-in replacement). Spoke to Joe, MLD manager, and he told us that the pre-installation processes broke down on their end. We worked for weeks coordinating a cabinet guy and the original installer to meet at our house together to make it work. So, after nearly 3 months, we have a new fridge and a complete installation, but not without dozens of phone calls, months of waiting, and several hundred dollars out of pocket. The MLD team seems to have good intentions and are excited to make the sale, they simply have really, really poor customer service.
