The girl working the front desk helped me so much with my wardrobe, knew exactly what I needed before I did, and looked great herself! Nikki gave me an amazing haircut that was needed badly and she made me feel amazing. 10/10 recommend the boutique and the salon

The salon is excellent. I saw Nikki. I have long, wavy hair that gets really frizzy. I had a great balayage from my favorite salon where I used to live, and I wanted to change the color up a little so that the blonde ends weren’t so drastic, but I didn’t know for sure what I wanted. Nikki made a great recommendation about how to handle my color, and I am thrilled with the results - it looks perfect. I also got a Brazilian blowout to help with the non-stop frizz, and it is amazing. It looks like this photo even if I do nothing to it.I moved down to Fayetteville last month and I didn’t find any salons in town here that I felt comfortable trusting my hair to, so I looked at Southern Pines and found the Mod Shop based on the reviews. I feel like I won a jackpot!

FANTASTIC service—easily the best salon in Southern Pines. Lead Stylist Nikki Kimball is friendly, detail-oriented, and incredibly talented. Ive never loved my hair so much! Mod Shop is always on the pricey side, but its worth every penny.

I’ve been going to see Nikki at the Mod Shop for a couple years now. I loved the old location, and while I didn’t think it was possible, the new location is even better! I recommend Nikki to all my friends. She has done a fantastic job every time I’ve gone to see her for a cut and color—I’m always getting compliments on her handiwork! Great customer service, and very talented at what she does...won’t see anyone else!

There is no place like this place! So this MUST be the place! Whether is color, extensions, cut or a blowout there so no place better. The ladies make you feel so welcome and laughter is a must! I LOVE the new location. So many cute accessories and clothes, it was hard not to buy it all. Nikki always does my extensions and I couldn’t be happier. My 9 year old son wants a specific stylish cut and Nikki has been the only stylist in the area that can give him exactly what he wants. Highly recommend this shop to all my friends.

This is an absolute wonderful top notch salon. I love everyone there !!! All the staff is friendly and professional. I have been seeing Michele for 10 + years now for my hair. She is absolutely amazing with blondes and especially extensions ! My hair has never been so healthy and looked so good.

I cannot recommend the Mod Shop enough! Michelle has been doing my hair for 10 years and I trust no one else. I’ve been dark, platinum, long, short- all fabulous. If you are looking for extensions, Michelle is the MASTER. I have gone from a short bob to a length half way down my back that is blended and color matched perfectly. The overall experience from start to finish is professional and the space is extremely clean. There is a boutique in front with affordable clothes and accessories. Trendy & Classic. I recently purchased black pants and shirt off of their sales rack. Great fit and classic style. The women in the shop are friendly and helpful! I will definitely continue to shop there. It’s a lovely boutique with chic and unique clothing that fit my petite height.

The receptionist didnt wear a mask. I didnt appreciate the stylist talking about her tattoos to my teenage daughter. It was $60 for a simple hair cut. We wont be back.

Absolutely loved my stylist!!! Hair looked great. However it isnt worth the price. Cost $163 for highlights, cut n style---did not include tip!!! Every other salon Ive used NEVER charged xtra for cut n style. It is usually included with ur color. Definitely over priced.
