Photo taken at 8:30 PM on a Friday night. Place was locked up tight 2 and a half hours before posted closing. Giving 2 stars just because I realize things are tough staffing right now, but management really needs to update their schedule if they cant keep their doors open during reasonable business hours.
This is my new favorite ice cream. Its made with liquid nitrogen and it comes out so smooth and creamy. The ice cream is flavorful it is pretty and it is just right. The one thing to consider about this place is that they make the ice cream to order. So if you are in a large group or if there is a line in front of you it will take them longer than other ice cream stores to serve you. For me its not a deal-breaker for this place you just need to be prepared to plan in a little extra time.
Took a long time, and pricey.I decided to come here and there was a short line of just three people, which I had stood in for half an hour. Service was incredibly slow but I decided to wait it through. There was only one employee working which must I say, was taking quite a while for a small ice cream. It got to my turn when they told me they didnt know how long it would take because there were no clean dishes. Im glad they were honest to me but seriously, this place needs more people. I decided to leave but the ice cream must be amazingly good for an hour wait?
We just left your establishment and you are closing an hour early based upon your posted hours. Hours are posted both on the internet and on the door to your facility. 🤔wish I could put in a review based on the quality or taste of your ice cream. I understand the service industry is rough right now, but you know what I can’t do in the healthcare industry….leave early.
First time there, waited 45 minutes for mediocre ice cream for $15. Bathrooms had no soap or paper towels. Not a good sign especially during COVID, how do employees wash hands? No trash bags in trash cans. Paper Towel rolls placed on tables instead of napkins. Not sanitary at all since everyone is touching the rolls to tear off a napkin. Will not be back. Very surprised this place is still open.
Asked him if every flavor could be dairy free and he said yes. Ordered a regular Cookie Monster with cashew and it had milk in it. I am allergic
After an online search for vegan ice cream options, we came across Creamistry, and decided to make a 30-minute drive to try them out. Now, the whole point of making the trek to this business vs going to ANY OTHER restaurant that serves ice cream WAS for the vegan options. We pulled up, both excited, only to be told that they were OUT of ALL VEGAN OPTIONS. Seriously? Okay, I suppose understandable, but if you are out of ALL your prime options on your menu, put a sign up.Disappointed, but still willing to give them a try since we made the long drive, we decided to order dairy based ice cream. Me and my fiancé both used the facilities after placing our order, and we both were in shock at how dilapidated the bathrooms were. Dirty, falling apart, not stocked. We both were a little worrisome about the state of the location as we began to look around, waiting for our ice cream to be made. After a few minutes, the person behind the counter stated that they were both new and they did not know how to operate/change out the machines that made the ice cream and if we could wait until the ‘knowledgeable’ person checked into work and quoted 5-10minutes. At this point, after making the drive for vegan ice cream and having to settle, the state of the bathrooms and location in general and now being told that they could not make ice cream, we decided to cut our losses and go the grocery store.I do not understand how you operate a business in this nature. Who is the owner/manager? How could you not have your people trained to make ice cream and operate the equipment on site, since, you know, YOU SELL ICE CREAM. Also, the state of this location does not dictate pride in one’s business.I feel for the employees behind the counter, because ultimately this is not their fault. It is the owner/manager of this locations responsibility to ensure employees are trained, equipment is operating to satisfy service needs and the very basic business rule of having a CLEAN establishment. I realize this is just ice cream, and we are not saving the world here...but if you operate a business, then operate it with the intent of doing GOOD business. Do better - and for the love of ice cream, train and support your staff.
Wouldn’t come here again, Baskin Robbins will be a much better choice. It was expensive and low quality. A waste of money.
It was pretty bad. There was only one person working, doing everything himself. I felt badly for him. Couldnt keep up with all the orders. Wait time on a small cup was 35 min. Many people walked out.
The ice cream is great but the tables outside are dirty We asked for a rag so we could clean them before eating and were told to use napkins which were small the tables needed a wet rag. Also, the sidewalk under the tables is nasty with spilled ice cream. It needs a good power washing. A place with this price ice cream should be clean
At first my husband and I loved Creamistry. Every time we went was not a disappointment. We have now been to Southlake, Irving and The Colony locations and they never have anything in stock. We are told by employees they have not been told to make the Brownie Sandwich, Fruity pebbles samdwich or Affagato. Its very sad, what used to be our favorite vegan ice cream has now turned into a shop that can never provide anything we want. How can your stop making the best items on your menu?!? Everything else sucks. I hope they go out of business, they clearly have no idea what their customers want and dont care.
I came today at 9:49pm and right as I came up to the store they ran and turned off the lights, TV’s and then ran and hid in the back and stared at us. The time on the door clearly stated that the store closed at 10pm. Not only this, but every time I have come the store has been severely understaffed to the point where I can’t even order. If the time on the door says 10pm, they should be closing AT 10pm. No questions asked. I’d like to add as well that the place is extremely dirty and multiple other Creamistry locations have been shutdown for being unsanitary and I’m sure this one will be too.
While the ice cream was good, this place obviously has no quality control, and the cleanliness is worrisome. Both times weve been, its been dirty, ingredients all over the counters and pick up bar. As well as all of the containers of ingredients are just strewn everywhere. I wasnt super worried about it, until my fiance had an allergic reaction to her ice cream that should have not had any of her allergen in it. If you have allergies, or care about cross contamination or quality control at all, go elsewhere. We wont be back.
Way too sweet. Doesnt have the texture of nitrogen ice cream.
Understaffed and slowest of slow services. Staff today was belligerent and said that the more we order, the more he has to wash the pots and pans. Maybe he had a long tiring shift but we had a horrible experience and wont be going back to this location, which is sad, cause we love the area.
The ice cream flavors are creative and very yummy- Ive tried some but not all. Its a fun/different way to do ice cream. Sometimes they dont have all of the flavors they offer in stock, so it can be kind of hit or miss in that sense. Obviously it costs more than your typical ice cream, but that can be expected since youre paying more for the experience and unique flavors.
It’s ok but ridiculously expensive, I felt the place wasn’t all that clean and they didn’t even have napkins. The guy working there suggested I go to the place next door to get some. how about I just don’t come back…ever.
Its an interesting concept and decent ice cream, but will not be returning. $15 for 2 small cups felt overpriced. On a slow weeknight, we were surprised at how dirty and messy it was. Tubs of toppings strewn about, almost all of them empty, an opened milk gallon left unrefridgerated for the entire 20 minutes we were there, and counters desperately needing wipe down.15 minutes of cleaning and some supervision over the staff could do wonders for first impressions when walking into the store.
They were short staffed and we waited 30 min and left. Reviewing based on my experience that day but havent tried the product.
I grabbed some napkins by register and was shocked to see 5 to 6 empty stainless bowls on the floor and counters not wiped clean. There was a pitcher of milk and opened gallon of milk out on counters in the open the whole 20 minutes we ate there inside the store. The workers were in the back the entire time. Will not return due to uncleanly place.
Pricey for what you getIce creams good and creamy but it takes about 15 minutes and its lik the toppings are on top of an ice cube
If you love the taste of dippin dots, you’ll love creamistry. It’s such a cool concept. You can get organic or even almond or coconut milk. Pick your size, choose your milk/cream, your base then toppings. Or look at the pictures on the wall for pre-made ideas. The smallest size is a lot of ice cream.
Overall ur the ice cream tasted terrible and ur service was terrible and employees just were so rude and it’s so dirty theur too LIKE PLZ CLEAN UR MESS UP
Horrible service and when I went inside the establishment it was dirty bugs everywhere!!!! When I asked for a small vanilla ice cream cup I received a COCKROACH to go with it!!!! Very livid and will NEVER go back!!!!
If I could leave zero stars I would! I went there hoping for a nice frozen treat experience, walked out hotter than fish grease. The employees didn’t know what they were doing, and the bathrooms were HORRENDOUS! If you want ice cream DON’T go here!
It has great ice cream
Over rated and priced. More of a novelty in my opinion. Worth doing to check it out but dont think I will do again
Cool way to make icecream but the wait was too long.
It smelled like a toilet had overflowed and sure enough it had. Luckily the girls working behind the counter didn’t risk themselves cleaning it.
45 mins in line and got 20$ worth of melted ice cream zero stars if I could
Edit: Tried going back saw there hours had changed to 5pm. So got there and the place was closed waiting 15 minutes with 4 other groups and no one showed up. Will not be back as it was a wasted drive and we were going for my sons birthday as he really enjoyed it last time.Never been here before but thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was super friendly and helpful and explained the choices we had. We ordered several specialty items like Cookie Monster and Unicorn. The kids had a blast when the staff used the nitrogen.
Zero stars. So many issues. Every surface was dirty. Out of many ingredients. Only mens restroom open, but out of SOAP and paper towels. How did the employees wash their hands?!?After we got our ice cream, was informed they were out of spoons... What?! They had no answer when we asked how do we eat our ice cream.Asked for refund. They couldnt even refund the tip I gave them, which doesnt make sense. Place was super expensive, so the whole thing was absurd.Avoid this place. It will be shut down soon.
Way cool experience! They make the ice cream right in front of you with liquid nitrogen! Amazing! The ice cream was quite tasty as well. Very friendly staff as well.Highly recommend this place.
I have been to this location 3 times in a couple of months and every time Im here the machine to make affogato is out of commission. Plus the wait is long.
So concept and flavors are all well thought out. Service was good however it is clearly understaffed. The girl behind the counter was working hard but someone really needed to be cleaning up the machines and countertops. Very important for a place like this to look sparkling clean.
Dirty. Slow. Order came out wrong. What should we expect though from a place run by high-schoolers?
This is the best ice cream store you will ever go to. The ice cream is frozen in front of you with nitrogen, which is entertaining. But the resulting ice cream is so flavorful and very creamy. It is a dream world for ice cream lovers. Any city without a Creamistry is in bad need of one.
The price is very high but the vegan options are huge so it was worth it as a special treat for us. Quickly made, great flavor and topping options made this a good experience. Customer service could be better and wish they offered military discounts but overall good experience.
We had the Sea salt caramel and a strawberry. We went on Friday and the girl was in the store by herself. She handled herself and the orders very well. She demonstrated excellent customer service while under pressure. Friendly with a smile. She made our ice cream so well that we wanted more. It was delicious! Great first experience! Thank you
Love this place. So good. Many options. Handmade in front of you. Nice employees. Clean.Did I mention good?Love the texture of this ice cream. So smooth and creamy.
It was good ice cream but it was pretty messy in there.
Tasty concoctions at an elevated price. Friendly staff. Steady flow of customers with little wait. Definitely recommend due to the taste! Restroom didnt have paper towels though. :( Otherwise the place looked clean.
Watching them make it is cool but my god when I paid 20 bucks for 2 regular size cups of ice cream i cringed so hard.. not worth it. If they didnt price gouge I would consider returning.
They do not make their items to look like their picture. I ordered a large s’mores and the items were not layered. I had 6 mini marshmallows stuck to the top along with a 1/2 of a graham cracker on top. $10 is not worth the price for this.
Service was a little slow.
Stopped by here to give my nerves a chance to calm down. Teaching son to drive and we started night driving...Overall, good experience though more attention meeds to be paid towards cleanup.
Fun and unique experience! I had never been to a place like this where they literally turn liquid into ice cream right in front of you. Kids would love it and it was a fun thing to do for a date night after dinner.
Loved the experience and the super nice people. The food was really good but plan plenty of time because the process takes a while but is interesting to watch. High school science class meets cooking class. Fun date night. Lots of non dairy options too!!!
Lexi was really great and awesome! I brought in about 10 of my friends from college to try this place. We all loved the concept and overall the ice cream was great! I got a cookies and cream base with cheesecake bites! Great combination! Their nutella base does not disappoint either! Great dessert spot in Slake.
Terrible service! My friend ordered an icecream with three toppings, nothing unusual. The clerk got the order wrong, only putting in one topping, which she didnt even ask for. We politely informed him of the mistake and asked for the order again. He very rudely disappeared into the back, without saying a word, then emerged and started making the order again. My friend kindly offered to repeat the order, but the clerk said he got it. He made it again and forgot one of the toppings. We asked the other clerk to speak to a manager, but she said there was no manager at the time; they were unsupervised for at least three hours. My friend politely told her about the mistakes, but she didnt seem too concerned. I highly doubt this issue ever got escalated to management. The icecream was still good, but if they cant get your order right twice and are rude about it, I will not recommend anyone I know come to this location.
Extremely poor customer service. The manger on duty “Nick Diaz” was very rude after messing up our order. Instead of being apologetic and trying to remediate the situation, he was insistent on being right. One expects a much better service after paying premium prices for ice cream.
Ice cream and service was very good. Also watching them prepare is fun. My only issue is it is a bit pricey. About twice the price of frozen yogurt. But good for a treat.
Awesome yummy
Over-priced. Ice cream was icey, too hard to eat and not smooth.Smelled inside, my 3yo was holding her nose wanting to go outside.Worst of all was the customer service. I asked for a signature creation, but to sub a different flavor of ice cream. They said they cannot do it and thats that. For $6 ice cream, I would expect some flexibility.Dont come here
Zero stars. There was no greeting or anything when I walked in. The person at the front took her QT cup and went to the back.
Fun experience to watch them make your ice cream! We all enjoyed the creamy ice cream. Our flavors were: nutella with strawberries, mint with mini chocolate chips, and chocolate with brownie chunks.
Cool to experience once but the ice cream isn’t anything special for the price. The concept is cute but overrated. $9 for a medium chocolate with peanut butter cups. Seating is very limited. Expensive and medium grade ice cream at best. Prices need to be lowered or this place won’t be around long, not a place to frequent
Rude. Took their cellphone and disappeared in to the back without a word
I had been this store on 06/22, This is one of the worst store I ever had, taste is not at all good. I have ordered something and paid money but I got something which I thrown in the trash when I went and asked staff responded very badly and rudely on the customers which is created bad impression for meI never come to this store again.
The creamiest vegan ice cream I’ve ever had and with fresh fruit too! Delicious, made to order ice cream treats for those that like thick, smooth ice cream.
A bit overpriced for icecream. Ice cream was ok, but not worth the money for the amount you get.
Its a good show. The ice cream really is not very good and has no texture. Quite expensive
The novelty of them making the ice cream with nitrogen is cool. Beyond this its your standard ice cream at a premium price. It has the same cold sterile setup that all the yogurt places are doing these days with limited and weird seating. Also left with a bad taste after they refused to give my 4 year old water while he was having a coughing fit. They claimed their water was “unsafe” and i could only buy water. SERIOUSLY? Your water isn’t safe? Good to know.
Way too pricey. The regular size, which is their small, is almost $6.00. Each topping is an additional dollar. You’re paying for the gimmick. There are other ice-cream shops around town that are just as good, and considerably cheaper.
Very tasty cashew ice cream option!
Fun and unique flavored ice cream desserts. Will be going back to try more of them.
Closed location
8 DOLLARS FOR A SMALL (regular) SCOOP OF ICE CREAM?? it would have to be some really amazing ice cream for that price. unfortunately, it was really really just mediocre. its not bad bc how can ice cream be bad? but the price is just ridiculous.
Fun family place, also has vegan & dairy free options. Delicious coconut ice cream!
A very good example of a very bad desert. tastes stale. Do not charge more because we are in Southlake.
Good service and fun process but the price and ultimately the taste doesn’t deliver
Love this place! Soo good!
Interesting to watch the icream being made.
Love this place.
It smelt like the they hadnt properly cleaned the the place and from the looks of it i can see why it looked like a bunch of 12 year olds running the place truly disappointed with this place
Slow service, kinda pricy.
Yummy new place for a quick treat!
Delicious ice cream.
Super cool experience!
Cool experience
This place is an experience.
No kidding. not worth it
Delicious!
