I had these guys tune the carb on my 64 impala they got it done fast and properly ! Also fixed an oil leak while they were at it. Cost wasn’t bad turnaround time was great with great attention to detail. I’m only bringing my ride to these guys from now on.

Totally a farce operation just stay hole in the wall outfit that doesnt seem to want to make any money, the place right next door though is an amazing place to look for automotive help.

He rebuilt a Rambler V8 for a friend, who ended up selling it to me. He built a very sturdy shipping pallet AND wrapped the engine and trans. It made it from Sparks to Charleston SC in perfect condition.. AND the engine looks fabulous..

He totally tried to take advantage of my daughter. Asked to diagnose her car. Charged her extra time checking compression when the problem was a injector he had to take off before that. Then wanted to charge $250 for 2 bad injectors, (only 1 was bad) when you can get these for $60 at Napa and wanted to charge $500 in labor when it takes 15 minutes to fix.

Doug is Awesome! I had a wet dog smell in my car whenerver I turned on my AC or heater. It had been there since I purchased the car. He quickly found the problem, which no mechanic prior had, and fixed it in no time. If that werent enough, when he drove my car the few feet into the shop he noticed a noise in the back end. He asked how long it had been there. I told him I hadnt heard it. My ears are often plugged up and my hearing in my right ear is not up to par. Doug crawled under my car and discovered that part of my axel is in need of replacement. Funny thing is that the car was just at the auto body shop and nothing was mentioned. I guess Doug has much better ears. I have since heard the bang he heard. Thank goodness for Dougs keen ears or I could need body repair. Currently Doug is sourcing the part and said its safe to drive in the meantime. I will definitely go to Performance Automotive for all my auto care, including oil change, and HIGHLY recommend them to all I know.

I walked in off the street with a bizarre meter problem and met Doug Furgason. He stopped what he was doing to provide some advice. Offered to see if he could help me modify one of the parts I had brought in later that day and I left. Before I was able to get 1/2 mile away, Doug called my cell phone and told me he had found a part that would help. I returned and sure enough - he had found exactly what I needed to get my 73 corvette back on the road. The problem had me baffled for a week when Doug found a way to help.
