If you live nearby, you need to check it out after they turn off the blaring country music :)So as regulars, Im not sure whats behind the recent shift, but Ive gotta tell ya, its killing the ambiance. Genuinely enjoy going to Pyramid Fine Wine & Spirits. You walk in and whether you are greeted by the owner, his wife, or a knowledgeable staff member, you immediately feel at home.Without a doubt have the best variety of quality wines and liquor in the community and if they do not have it they will work hard to find out if it is available. I personally have collected rare bourbons for years. Nevada is one of several states that does not allow shipments of liquor to individuals from out of state, so, in my case the options are limited to hoping a local vendor will get it for you. Every other liquor store in the community has disappointed me in my quest to obtain certain rare bourbons either because I did not belong to their “club”, had not spent enough money in their store to qualify, or frankly, just did not have the knowledge about what I was seeking or the ability to obtain it.Pyramid Fine Wine & Spirits on the other hand has never disappointed me. Quite often it is in the store. If it is not available, they can usually get me a timeline as to when it will be in and notify me when it arrives. Obviously, my tastes also vary to wines, cordials, and beer depending on the season.Probably most important is the simple fact that the owner, his wife and staff have always been honest and straight forward with me. Yes, at times they may be a bit more expensive, but I also consider they are a locally owned business and I choose to support them because of that and for the other reasons stated in this review.I highly recommend Pyramid Fine Wine & Spirits.

Sonny at Pyramid Fine Wine and Spirits was great! Super friendly, nice and knowledgeable! He helped me pick out the perfect unique whiskey for a wedding gift for a groom and his groomsmen. Helped explain some of the background of the distillery and differences in proof, quality, and price. Would recommend!

The Pyramid looks like a nice liquor store on the surface. Its a new stand alone building with a flashy sign that says Slots, and it has decent parking. Inside, even though there were no slot machines, I was impressed with the stores vast selection - until I saw how overpriced everything was.I decided to stay and browse for something I could afford when a man came up to me. After staring at me, he asked if he could help me find something (as he was turning away). I dont think he really wanted to help me. I watched as he walked over to another employee and spoke to her. Then, both of them turned and looked at me with open hostility. I anxiously worried that I had accidentally broken a $200 dollar bottle or something. I realized I didnt because it wouldve made a loud crash, but the way they were looking at me made me feel like I must have, and I was ashamed of myself. I tuned to leave in a rush, but there was another employee, pretending to look at something on a shelf. This person was really just blocking my way to get out of the store. Thats when I stopped feeling upset and confused, and started feeling my blood begin to boil. Thats because it suddenly dawned on me that these people actually suspected me of being a thief, even though I hadnt done anything to make them think that. I have never stolen anything from any store, the thought has never even crossed my mind. Even though I know Im not a thief, I feel humiliated that they think I am. Even though Im embarrassed about it, I had to share my experience at Pyramid because the way they treated me was wrong, and I dont want other people to be subjected to that kind of treatment.I believe in patronizing local stores over the online giants, even though it costs me. I think its critical to their ability to stay open, especially during the financial crisis that Covid started. However, I will not so much as even glance at that store.* I strongly recommend NEVER going to this store *

So great to have a place like this in Sparks - great selection, really nice people. However, they are storing most of their rare and really good IPAs (that clearly say “keep refrigerated”) out on the floor at room temp...while there are tons of beers that don’t need to be cold that are stocked in the fridges. I and a few friends have pointed out a few times that storing certain beers at room temperature will actually spoil them, but it doesn’t seem like anybody has paid attention. Hopefully they can get their inventory organized, because they have an awesome selection and it’s sad to see so many great beers sitting out being ruined.

Excellent selection of all types of drinks you may crave, yes you may pay more for the convenience but that’s exactly what it is, convenient!!! Will return to explore the rest. If you want discount go to grocery outlet down the street. Always great service.

I have had nothing but amazing experiences here. The owner is so kind and just trying to keepHis business afloat during these times. They have a full bar, which sadly has been shut down during this time, they offer groceries and all sorts of cool and yummy finds there! Their prices are great, I can find all sorts of hard to find beer there and I love the small town feel.

So at first I really enjoyed this location but... after discovering how shady the prices are I stopped its over a 50% markup in cost vs any other location... All the alchohol is being sold for a little under what you would pay at a bar....

In late July I was running around looking for two bog beautiful bottles of Don Julio 1942, i had already gone to a couple of different local liquor stores and had no luck. I then remembered we now have this nice store out in Spanish Springs. Thanks goodness I stopped on because they had exactly what I was looking for, the environment was awesome and the service was GREAT! They even took my photo, as Don Julio 1942 is NOT inexpensive in any way. I’m still watching for my photo. Lol Thanks again!

The is a great liquor store. They have lots of items that I normally only find at the big box stores. Their selection of rare/hard to find liquors is better then the big box stores. Staff is friendly and helpful. Management is great and willing to explain anything you might have questions about.

This is my favorite liquor store in town. Deceptively spacious once youre inside. Great selection and friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff, always wearing masks. Social distancing is in effect here and I hope they will be able to stay open if we have stricter covid policies. Ill definitely keep coming back.

One of the biggest and best beer selections in Sparks, with plenty of emphasis on local breweries. Also good regional NorCal beers. Friendly staff who are happy to take recommendations. They have a great post-Covid plan to open a tasting room/bar on the premises. If we go into restrictions again, hope theyre able to stay open -- cant get a lot of this stuff at the regular grocery stores. And goodness knows we need it during this time.

Unfortunately everything from beer, liquor to even bottled water is 25% to 50% over detail prices elsewhere.Id love to shop here since its a small business in my neighborhood but not at these prices.Surprised they didn’t charge a cover to walk in the door.

Love coming here! Always a laid back atmosphere, answers to questions, and variety beyond belief! If you like trying different types of beers this is your one stop shop! It varies from so many varieties, IPAS, Ales, sours, lagers, seltzers, stouts, wines, liquors, smoking materials, so much! Plus they have an amazing food truck i hea4d. The place is definitely worth the stop!

The nicest family owned store I have been to in a long time! The owners will treat you like one of their own! The best selection of Hard Alcohol, I mean they have anything and if they don’t you can write your wish list on their dry erase board deal thingy and they will send your request over to the vendor that services the store! You can’t beat this place, and they bar!!! Hopefully they will do some tasting cuz they have stuff from all over the globe and some are really expensive I would rather buy a shot and taste it before I buy the bottle!! Sadly, I will never shop here again. The employees were not wearing masks and the one that had a scarf on had it around her neck. They were also serving customers that weren’t wearing masks. If they care this little about showing cleanliness, respect for the law and virus prevention, imagine the things we don’t see. I’m sure they don’t wipe down anything.
