Elaine, the owner, is a phenomenal, caring, and knowledgeable individual. She was able to answer all of my questions and made suggestions based on my needs rather than profit margin. On two occasions, her first suggestion was a product on sale. I told her up front that we were visiting from out of town; however, she gave me the attention I believe she would extend to a long-time customer. I was so impressed that my husband and I returned two days after our first purchase to pick up another item. Tomorrow, we will drive to Reno again, and I have a short list of products to pick up from Elaine. We spend 2-4 weeks every summer in the Lake Tahoe area, and The Herb Lady will definitely be one of our first stops once we are settled in.

You know they do have some pretty good stuff here but the customer service is definitely lacking. They only sell herbs in capsules, no loose-leaf herbs, which was my main disappointment. The ambiance and customer service were pretty much non-existent. Although the ladies seemed willing to answer questions, they werent exactly what I would call pleasant. They have a nice array of items and some stuff of definite interest, but not someplace I would spend a lot of time in.
