Where do I start. I moved to Spokane 2 years ago, and have struggled to find a decent repair shop. After tons of bad luck. I found a light at the end of the tunnel. Vandervert automotive not only solved my problem but, gained a customer for life! Matt and Josh where absolutely amazing from start to finish. Friendly service yet prompt. Matt even ordered my part(rack and pinion) knowing that it would take some time to come In, and scheduled my alignment(which they got in early). Matt (service writer) was great to deal with, and they even signed up as a South Bend dealer so they could purchase the clutch I wanted. Found and fixed a problem with the A/C that I didnt even know about. I called two weeks later for mechanical advice on a different matter and they were happy to advise me. Great shop, will use them again.

After a futile search of about 15 businesses (including RV dealers) in an attempt to service our AC system in our RV we finally got a YES from Vandervert. We were very impressed with the staff and the quality of their work at an affordable price too! (Can we give them 6 stars?)

These guys are buttoned up. Took my Jeep in for repairs. Did what was needed and nothing more. Other shops would’ve milked me for an extra few hundred bucks. Not these guys. Outstanding and honest car repair center, have always been at or below their estimate. Wifes Durango was giving them fits trying to track down the noise problem. They worked on it at no additional charge 3 more times until they discovered the issue and we covered the cost of the items. You dont find customer service like this at most auto repair places and never at any dealership Ive ever been too.

I highly recommend this place! We have been really happy after taking multiple vehicles here for years now. We have used them for automotive repairs as well as tires, and the work has always been solid. We never have to take the car back for follow up work after they do a fix. I LOVE that they’ll drive me to and from work while they work on my car, it’s great for making sure to get oil changes regularly - The convenience makes it so easy! I have a general mistrust for mechanics after some bad experiences with shops taking advantage just to make a buck and these guys have really earned my trust and appreciation. Important to me: Vandervert Automotice has always been competitively priced, which I appreciate. I don’t even feel the need to get quotes elsewhere anymore because they are always a great price compared to other shops. They also tell me what to anticate for future maintenance/repairs and what is priority. I appreciate the honesty.

An updated review after nearly a year later using Vandevert for the first time - I am still an extremely happy and satisfied customer! I would not go anywhere else. The precision and attention to detail they possess has literally saved my car and kept it driving like a dream. My AC quit a n.v d Im a Transporter. Got me right in and fixed 2 problems.

I was having an intermittent electrical issue warning light on my 2000 Chevy pickup. I took it to Vanderverts where they did some checks and tried to replicate the problem. After having the pickup there for the day, they were unable to replicate or diagnose the problem. Even though they had invested time in the job, since they werent able to find any problem they told me there would be no charge for their service. They advised me to bring it back if the warning light came on again. Its been two weeks and the problem hasnt resurfaced. Maybe Vanderverts needs to charge for their magic even if they didnt think they did anything! Im now a believer, and still a satisfied Vandervert customer.

Dealership wanted $560 to replace a faulty headlight enclosure; Vandervert re-soldered it for $114 and it works perfectly. Thanks a ton guys, I appreciate the honesty and Ill definitely come back whenever I have car trouble.

The absolute best full-auto service Ive experienced. No wonder they are always booked out for weeks or months. Super friendly and experienced staff, good turn around time, no hassling or haggling - problems with my car were fixed the FIRST time. Worth every penny.

My dad has been going to John and his crew since he opened his shop and now that I am an adult he is the one I choose when I can or whoever they recommend. They might be in the higher end expense wise but the cost is worth the service you get.

Took the car in for an oil change and tail light replacement. The guys at Vandervert Automotive were awesome and quick! Car came back an hour later looking like a million bucks.Heard a loud pop and scraping metal on the drive home about 15 minutes from the shop. I called the shop to see if they could help troubleshoot/tow. Joss, the shop owner, immediately drove over to personally check the car out. Turns out I had run over a razor blade on my drive home. Joss popped the razor blade out of the tire and sent me on my way. AMAZING customer service! Best auto shop in Spokane hands down.

Best auto repair shop Ive gone to. Fixed my girlfriends car quickly and gave her an honest assessment of what else might have needed to be worked on, contrary to some of the other places in Spokane. Also Angel is a dummy thicc hot boi and will take care of you. 😉

I cant let this fester anymore. My heater broke and I was stumped. I left its apart to see if they knew what was wrong. They charged 75 dollars for a 420 dollar estimate. They said the fan motor and relay switch while not touching any of the parts. I had already replaced both earlier. The squirrel fan needed tightened. That was it. UPDATE JOSH CONTACTED ME THE NEXT DAY TO MAKE THIS RIGHT. IT WAS NOT HAS NEFARIOUS AS I THOUGHT. HE HAD ALL THE NOTES AND EXPLAINED STEP BY STEP HOW THEY HAD ARRIVED AT THIS DIAGNOSIS. WHICH WAS EXACTLY WHAT I HAD DONE EARLIER. HONEST MISTAKE. HE OFFERED A REFUND. I TOLD HIM THAT WAS OKAY BUT HE INSISTED ON SENDING IT TO ME ANYWAY. THESE GUYS ARE RIGHT AS RAIN. I SHOULD HAVE JUST TALKED TO THEM IMMEDIATELY AND IT WOULD HAVE BEEN TAKEN CARE OF INSTEAD OF WAITING MONTHS. THANKS JOSH AND VANDERVERT AUTOMOTIVE.

I bought a car from a guy that had it detailed here. Carpets were shampooed but stunk...I had to shampoo them again. Wax/compound was left around creases and emblems. Only cleaned what you can see and left a wet oily product over everything inside and under hood. Some trim peaces werent even touched. It cost this guy $325 to have a halfassed detail job done. Theres a reason why I have never heard of this place.Since I couldnt respond to the response...the guy was just finishing up when I got there to look at it. I didnt stop any work being done to finish it up. We only drove it after the owner paid for the work that was done.

I left them my car while away on vacation because my A/C wasnt working and they called me when they were finished to let me know it was actually more minor than I was guessing and also let me know about my pesky oil leak that I had been meaning to fix and, after receiving permission since it was a pretty bad leak, took care of that for me as well. It was such a sigh of relief, they did an excellent job and were completely honest about what exactly was wrong and didnt try selling me anything I didnt need. Im usually very skeptical about mechanics since there are many I dont trust, but I highly recommend Vandervert. The people who work there are outstanding and very nice and definitely know what theyre doing and the price is very fair in my personal opinion.

Been using Vandervert automotive for years, be it personal vehicles or recommending friends there. Even when they are slammed they will try to squeeze you in. Things are fixed right the first time and I never need to come back.

I give it two stars because it took an hour or less. Simple sensor replacement, probably a routine job, and I get charged 200$. I guess they charge 95$ an hour, so unless you can afford that Id recommend elsewhere.

My Spokane family has used Vanderverts forever and today I had the pleasure of visiting them as well. I thought for sure Id have to pray to the automotive Gods (perhaps promise years of servitude) to get the blasted seatbelt to release so I could remove my kids carseat. It only took Joss 10 minutes; instant stress relief. Awesome, friendly service 😀

Ive been there a couple times for my oil change and they are just wonderful and the prices are very reasonable and if something ever happens to my car I will take it there because I trust them and I know theyre expected in the community and they wont come up with fake things that are wrong with my car and overcharged me I am thankful for them
