Parr Lumber: Simpson Wood Doors for Your Entry Way. Read the Fine Print.Gordon Finch built a home for me in 2018 in Liberty Lake. For Spokane, it is an upscale home. I selected a front door Finch showed me. I believe I paid $800 for the door. It is a Simpson wood door. It came from Finch’s supplier, Parr lumber in Spokane.Three years later, the panels of the door already are separating, and daylight shows through my door through my entryway. The veneer is shedding the stain and the finish. The door sits under a portico and does not receive direct rain or snow. I reported the problem to Parr lumber. Their representative, Andy, came to my house to look at the door. He arrived with a copy-in-hand of the warranty for a Simpson door. He informed me that this door was warranted for one year, and that there was “nothing he could do.” My guess is that this is not the first door separation he has seen of these cheap wood doors. This door was stained and sealed by a professional painter employed by Finch Homes. It is under a portico. It receives some morning sunlight, but never direct wind or rain. I have no children or grandchildren living in the house. My wife and I never enter through the front door, only through the garage. My house sits on a hill where all water runs away from the door. No way, no how should a door which costs $800 and is out of the weather, and is professionally stained and sealed last only three years.I recommend that you never buy a door from Parr lumber, particularly a wooden Simpson door.

They delivered on the wrong day, at the wrong time, and didn’t follow delivery instructions. Just left the 2k order in the driveway before 8am. Didn’t offer to help move it into the garage when we complained. We had to move it ourselves. Terrible customer service.

They are always busy but they have the best quality and prices in town. The cedar wood board for fence is the best quality in the whole area. They will load for you.

I went to their store today to seek some information on a railing system. I have a commercial account with Parr. The signs for masks being necessary was clearly posted on the front door in two languages. Once inside you could see they had social distancing protocols with stanchion posts and barriers to the sales staff. Clearly marked places to stand and interact with the salesmen. Great job! I thought. Then after my business meeting as done, exiting the store two patrons followed me out not wearing any masks!!! If you’re going to all the effort to follow protocols for your business then finish the job. Refuse service for non compliance. Very disappointing.

Poor. For on-line orders you wait in line with returns. To get to the carts, other customers have to cut through the waiting line and back through the line to get in the store. Took 20 minutes to get to register and receive the pick up slip. Then waited in pick up area for another 20 minutes until a fork lift operator was available to load the purchase. ☹

Went in to get a take off list for my garage addition that I am building. First the guys at the desk were sitting around jabbering and after about 5 minutes of standing there they asked me how they could help. Told them what I needed and they said the guy was out for the day and gave me an email to send all the info. Waited a couple of days and gave the guy a call to see if he received my email. No call, no response email. Nothing. Went to Ziggys and they got me a take off in less then a week and earned my business. Guess you got to be a builder with some pull to get anything done at Parr. Wont ever go in there again.
