If there is a word to describe this family run business it would be, in my opinion, professional. Everything about Coins Plus is dealt with in a professional, business manner. I have had two recent transactions with one of the owners Erica. She is smart, fair, and obviously knows the industry. She is respectful, funny, and remembered my name after only one visit. I went here to buy some bullion. I was one of two customers in the shop and it took over 20 minutes for me to write them a check for what I wanted due to their computer being slow. I was told they would call me when the check cleared and I could come back to get my purchase. I had to call them twice to verify it was ready, 10 days after my original visit. When I was picking up the bullion they didn’t ask to see my ID to verify it was me. I also had to ask them to scan it to prove to me it was what I paid for, apparently no one had asked them before. I don’t think I’ll go back.

I went in to exchange some coins. No silver or gold. But instead of using the Grey book or any references, she went off memory and gave me well below what my coins are actually worth. Very disappointed in the system they have in place because no one has all coin prices memorized like that. So thanks for ripping me off. That’s how I feel

I would NOT recommend this place. I have in my 58 years, been in many a coin shop. Sold and bought enough to know good service, fair market value and spot price. But today takes the cake. I was waited on by a mean, passive aggressive sales women, who was in a hurry, despite the fact I was the only customer in whole place initially. I came here to sell some sentimental items, not coins. And I was unaware of each items metal content at this point. Not long afterward, another customer came in. Friendly conversation took place between the three of us. But, then the sales lady, as she put it, Wanted to Multitask after I politely asked her to devote her full attention to my sale only, until I knew what was what. I wanted to know what the content reading was on each of my items, and the weight of each of the items I was offering. Then we had some polite, but totally passive aggressive banter back and forth over her lack attention to my sale only. She was going to fast with my items, and was not fully answering some my questions. She was Polite yet rude, all from my unprovoked, and polite repeated 2nd, and 3rd and up to a 5th request for her full attention. And then she did it. She said to me that they were now NOT interested in purchasing my items. Shoved back the the place box at me with my items in it, then gave me a very satisfied cold stare. Not nice at all! Infact, freakish. Maybe this explains the empty show room. They couldnt be bothered.No matter! I sold my items for BETTER VALUE at American Coin and Vault. They had excellent customer service, and I trusted their valuation and took the time to answer all of my questions.

The public relations woman has very poor (hormonal) customer service skills. Their prices are the highest in town. Low buy back. They’re not very knowledgeable per my experience and they’re judgemental. I’d avoid this one. Any of the other coin shops in Spokane are superior. #1 is American coin and vault. You’ll thank me for recommending this one. Redline coin is also another good one. Coins plus however does have a nice building. I guess I’ll give them that much.

Sell at top prices. But scam sellers. Took in 5 coins that according to the red book they push on collectors coins could have had worth of over 100,000.00 . Told by employee that they were Common and offered 80.00 for all 5. Gave excuse that one of the coins was cleaned. I know a cleaned coin does reduce the value some, but not to 20.00. Then told me the other coins were in great condition, but dirty (aka: Not Cleaned) and told me they would give me 20.00 for the dollar coins and 13.00 for the dime. Looking at their display items they had coins in worse condition selling for 1000.00 plus. Lure you in with Christian radio show preaching individual wealth. But the owners wealth is all they care about.

I have always received excellent service each time I patronize Coins Plus. I find all their products to be of superior quality. I recommend this business above any other because of their commitment to integrity and fairness.

Worked directly with Erica, who was to me the face of the owner, who put together a small portfolio for me. I had heard they were bad and rip you off from many people, but I went in there to find out if that was true. Its was worse, the owner offered me 50 dollars for a very rare 3-legged buffalo Nickel that another coin store offered me 800 dollars for though I eventually got 1300 for it. Bottom line, if you want to be treated fairly and do business with a honest owner dont go here!!!!!!

Absolutely no one wearing mask. They have a sign on the door that says mask are required, but going in there were 3 employees all maskless. To me, it says what a bunch of money hungry hypocrites. They are gonna put a sign up but not wear them? It seems if they are gonna be phony about your safety, what does that say about their products? Seems to me like they are probably crooks. They dont care about your safety. So how can they care about your wallet/product?

Have to be knowledgeable in prices. My experience is that when I sold my silver he offered a below spot price until I told him I would sell at spot. He then agreed with out further talk about price.

I have shopped Coins Plus several times with my Dad when I was younger. He trusted them then and still does today. He listens to Kevin on radio, and that really is how we found Coins Plus in the first place. Over the years we have bought gold and silver coins to have, just in case. The staff are always helpful and show us anything were interested in, even if we were just looking that day. And, when we do buy things they always bring out and give us options of the best quality we are looking for. I buy my own coins there now when I can but on a college budget its not as much as Id like, but its at least a start. I am very happy with the way we are treated. Always friendly and with respectful. I would fully recommend Coins Plus to anyone looking to get started like I am or maybe more as a collector like my dad.

Do not judge a book by its cover. This is not an old school, or even new school coin shop. The building may be nice and clean, but these gentlemen primarily buy bullion and jewelry. To each his own, but I will never return to this shop for any reason. I have only spent about $200 here over the past 2 years on “numismatic” coins. I stopped in today to look at some 19th Century Canadian and Mexican coins and was told none were available. I stated that I was given several 2x2 boxes of world coins to look through in the past. The gentleman said, those are not available and pointed to about 10 coins in the case, none of which were what I was searching for. The man seemed too busy too help me, or acted as if I didn’t know anything about coins, or had any money. I have been collecting coins for 20 years now, and due to my military travels have visited 100s of “real” coin shops in the United States. This is just another amateur fly by night buy cheap and sell high shop pretending to deal in coins with numismatic value. You lost a customer for life and I wish I had never spent any money in your store because you do not deserve it.

Called and asked a question, was assumed I was calling about etsy, or that I was some other person who has called prior, was talked down too, over explained to and when I tried to apologize for seemingly wasting the mans time, he was still agressive and rude. If you go here to sell your gold make sure that when they weigh it they are separating the different Karat gold before they do. I was not paying attention and they lumped it all together. Payed me at 14k gold %75 of scrap price. I had several verified pieces of 18k gold in that lot. The pieces I sold are an 18 karat gold cat pin, 2,18k gold cufflinks, an 18k gold lapel pin, and an 18k gold ring, the earrings I sold them were 14 k. And some other smaller items were 14k.Granted I was not paying attention thinking they are honest and I can trust these guys.... Lesson learned. Nobody is honest anymore.When you responded to my review you said the very small 18k earrings... The earrings that were in the lot that I sold you were 14k earrings..... You need to make sure you have the right sale in front of you when you reply to a review.

There are a few good coin shops in Spokane, and Coins Plus is definitely one you should check out. The staff is hard-working and willing to spend as much time answering your questions as you need. Sometimes there is a wait, but it is because the service is so personal. Sure, you can probably find a dealer somewhere who can offer a lower selling price or a higher buying price, but these folks are solid and will not sell you inferior product. One reason I support this store is because the owner, Kevin Wolter, is a staunch conservative Christian who takes pleasure in educating folks about politics, the economy, Christianity, and yes, even coins on his weekly radio show True Wealth. Check it out, then visit the store. You will be glad you did.

The worst service Ive seen in awhile from anywhere. Dont care about the people just standing in lobby for 30 to 45 minutes. They would rather talk on the phone over getting your business. Very disappointed

Coins plus has been always fair..market based and willing to educate. I have sold and bought in person and via mail. Each time the quality has met my expectations. There customer service in person discussing options and coinage has been great.

I was looking to have my wedding ring set upgraded with possibly bigger diamonds. I live quite a distance away and didnt want to drive to Spokane so after talking with Mike over the phone, he told me how to safely mail my ring. After evaluating the ring Kevin called and suggested I keep the original diamonds (since they had sentimental value to me) and instead add an additional diamond. I didnt even think of adding a diamond nor did I think it was even possible! They added a diamond, cleaned up the ring and strengthen the band as it was wearing thin. My ring turned out beautiful without losing the original look and character! I was so pleased with their advice, their service and the results! Thanks so much Mike and Kevin of Coins Plus!

Not only do I enjoy the radio broadcasts, I have found every shopping experience to be very enjoyable. I am about 2.5 hours away, so my shopping is by web then ordering by phone. The staff have always been very helpful and accommodating in helping me make my purchases and receive my product.

I would never recommend anyone to buy from or sell to this place. The guy that had been at working the counter both times I tried to give them my business, (once to buy and once to sell) was EXTREMELY arrogant and stuck up . When I went to buy a gold bullion he acted as if he didnt even want to sell it to me and when he did he charged me Top Dollar. And when I went to sell some jewelry he offered to pay me $308.00 for $665.00 worth of SCRAP GOLD. This was nice jewelry definitely not SCRAP gold and he tried to offer me not even half of scrap price. I felt extremely offended because it was obvious that because I was young and didnt dress and act like I was better then everyone else, I was completely judged and profiled as someone who was not good enough to even be in his store.

Gave me great incite to a 1911 coin value, yet I was still able to sell it $1000 more than what I offered. Dont belittle the customer when they know more than you about the coins value.
