This is one of those neighborhood hardware stores that I love. If you need something specific, stay away from the big box stores and go to Ace. They will even help you find what you need and give some advice about how to do it!

It was good! Bought some fall flowers and extra things but I got all I needed and the staff were nice. =)

I cannot believe in a heatwave the AC has broke and the workers are still there!! Poor workers deserve hazard pay. Like the construction workers they should open early and get off early as well!! It’s not like outside it’s a building with no breeze cooking in the sun!! Idk at least the garden center worker deserves somewhere cool when he comes back in after tending plants and customers thankfully he is allowed to sit inside.I won’t be going there until things cool down that’s for sure!

Staff is always super friendly. Sometimes too much. I dont like being approached and asked if I need help after turning the corner on every aisle. I like shipping in peace, Ill ask if I need it. But they are always knowledgeable when you do need help.

They Usually have all the items I am searching for in a hardware store. Parking and access is great, pricing is what you would expect, customer service is great and always a fast checkout here.

I went in for some tubing and connections. An elderly gentleman came to help me; he was absolutely amazing! I wish I wouldve gotten his name so that I could credit him here. He was very helpful in finding the sizes I was looking for, and all of the prices to connect everything together. Great customer service!

Not Ace Hardware Stores are created equal. So far Ive been to 4 different Ace Hardware Stores here in Spokane. 2 have AWFUL😭😡 customer service and the other 2 have TOP-NOTCH 👍🅰️👌💯👍customer service and this is one of the two with TOP-NOTCH customer service! Staff is so helpful and warm and they dont make you feel like your in that store to steal. This store prices are cheaper than the others and didnt charge me an environmental fee which a couple of them did. I am going to do research in that fee because I didnt dispose of any material there.This store is great. I recommend checking this location out!

My mom and I went this morning. They didnt have prices correct in system. Items where not labeled. Didnt match ad that came in the pinch newspaper. It was sad. The cashiers did the very best they could. Very nice employees. I felt bad for the employees.

My old Weber grill had seen better days! I went to Ace looking for their entry level Weber (Spirit series). I saw that they had the one, but it was unassembled. One of their associates (Rick) said that they may have one pre-assembled in the back. He wheeled it out and I could see that it was not the best quality and that for another $150 I could upgrade to this Genesis. He explained all the components are nicer. Im ready to take it home and realized it was about 1 inch too big to fit in the back of our SUV. He said he had a truck and he would be happy to deliver it. He followed me to my home and help me set it up. He told me they take 45 minutes to set up. I have found that it usually takes me twice the amount of time thats represented. Instead of setting up a grill, I am off to a hike with my family. Could not be happier with the awesome service provided by Rick & Ace South Hill Hardware!!

Aside from the bathrooms, which smell like ammonia and death, this store is good for most home project needs.. prices are intermediate, but convenience must be factored in.

If you get something thats on sale take a picture of the tag and the shelf/area. And make sure you tell them before they ring it up!

They are our neighborhood hardware store for which I am thankful. They always have what we need or in search of. The staff is super helpful and always offer assistance, this applies to the checkers, customer service, dept associates equally.

We ordered a Salad Shooter and had to go to the South Hill and the Store was clean, BUT the Employees Are Not Friendly Merely Courteous, I Love talking to people and it was like talking to the Wall at this Ace.There was a Baby Bird on the floor and it couldnt move, we went around it, when I talked to the Older Gentleman about the Little Bird, he literally looked at me and replied, Yeah, we know, we called someone. The Employees at the front seemed more Lackadaisical than Ready and Willing to Help.My Husband commented on how Unfriendly That This Ace Is.My Husband doesnt notice a lot when it comes to shopping. Hes a get in and get out kind Guy.

Disorganized parts bins with plenty of empty spots. Two trips down and Ive got nothing but disappointment to show for it. I can say however that I was assisted by a kind man the second trip.

Most of the Associates were very helpful. I was asked immediately if I needed help finding something. I was in and out in a matter of five minutes. Make sure you have the ace rewards card because you need it in order to get certain sale prices. I noticed a price rung up wrong and the cashier told me I needed a reward card to get that price yet he didnt offer me one. I had to ask for the card in order to get the sale price. The card is free and it was quick to sign up.

I gave it a 3 should have leaned to 4 but this is why. Everyone knows ace is expensive. They do have good products but it will cost you. And if you dont have an ace card then you pay more. You must know the kinds of stuff they carry if you shop there it seems they are particular about what kinds of things they have. Good service lol the older guy by the pic fittings is always in good spirits and can find you whatever part you may be looking for and if your not sure he can help.

Called ahead to make sure they had what i needed only to be told by the manager amy that she would not sell me a chain saw because they were closing in 10 minutes.. In disbelief i asked why and she said they would be sued for not doing the paperwork... Must be nice to be so lazy. I wont be back

Store has just about everything you can imagine. Helpful people know the store well and can help find what you are looking for quickly. A bit pricey.

Ace is a good little hardware store that has most of what a DIYer would need to accomplish a home project. They have just about everything the big box stores have while keeping a small town personal feel. There was only one cashier so the wait was a bit longer than it should have been but said cashier was polite and personable. Id recommend the South Hill Ace Hardware.

Check your receipt. I was actually charged for something I didnt buy. Had to get it fixed by going to customer service. A hassle.

This Ace has a serious selection of STHIL power equipment. Its pretty impressive. It looked like they also have a maintenance/repair shop attached. Actually I think this is one of the largest Aces in the Spokane area. This is an excellent place to shop for any of your home repair needs.

Good store, although they dont allow smoking inside. Grab a quick smoke before you step in, theyre pretty strict about it.

This is hands down the best hardware store I have ever been to. I received help from the sales staff within a minute of entering the store. The hardware is in bins, not prepackaged in plastic. Buy what you need! I have had quick turnaround on my snowblower repair. Great tool selection and replacement parts for my Weber grill. I only wish there was an Ace in Airway Heights!

If I could have given 0 stars I would have. This is the worst run operation I have ever been in as far as a retail outlet goes. You cannot find help in there even if you walk around for half an hour. Some guy sits in a lawn chair at the front as if he is going to help you but he never says anything. The checkers are young and rude for the most part. One of the helpers in the plumbing section is actually very good. Almost all the others will just walk right by you without asking you anything. I now drive about 4 times farther to go to another Ace store, or to a competitors store. A 4.4 rating...thats pure BS.

I go here all the time for things I need around the house or to have keys made, or most anything. Theyre kind of like a small home depot. At any rate, the workers are ALWAYS friendly and they always know where everything is at and most can give you advice as to what your needing. I highly recommend them.

If I could give them a Zero, I would...Had noted that the last four times I visited the store, there was something they should have but were out of stock, each time causing me to head to Home Depot and I hate two stop shopping. Today I went in for a 1/2 pex coupler and 90 elbow. As usual, they had one and not the other. I know that they are usually 20% to 30% higher than HD or Lowes but like to support local business and convenience is worth a few extra bucks (identical items at HD were 40% less). Today I figured that I should say something, if they dont know, they cant fix it. As I was leaving, I spoke with a cashier, very courteously and asked that she relay the information to the manager. What I got was Thats to bad... as she turned her back and walked away.Next time, no more two stop shopping, Ill save my frustration and drive a couple extra minutes. Doubt they will miss me but I know I wont miss them.Good luck, youll need it if you shop at ACE.

I rarely leave reviews... But i want to say thank you to all the awesome employees at the South Hill Ace! I rented a rug doctor for my elderly disabled client. Unfortunately the rug doctor just didnt put a dent in her carpet after an hour of trying. They refunded her 100% with no fuss. We really appreciated how kind and understanding they were. Thanks for having such great customer service! We will definitely bring our business back!

I have to say that the family that owns this Ace is family that genuinely cares about every single customers experience. I had a denied return attempt a few weeks ago, which I felt was very unfair and was enough to urge me to shop elsewhere. Austin (owner), and Jim (I presume general manager) both reached out to me personally to rectify the situation and make sure I was granted my refund, which they agreed should have been granted. Jim even personally came to my house to pick up my excess concrete and issue me my refund. I wasnt planning on doing much more shopping at this location after this experience, but after seeing how much they do care, I can say I will absolutely be returning. Great service that Ace is known for! First time at this location an delightfully surprised. Most Ace stores are small and carry only the essentials. This Ace is massive, huge selection from building supplies to all your gardening needs. Saved me a 30 minute trip down the hill. After 6mo in this new hood im glad i finally stopped by. Highly recommended for a quick trip. Kudos Ace!

Ordered a new key for my car. Told me they would call me in about 4 days when it came in. No phone call. Stopped by 8 days later to check in. Customer service had trouble finding my order. Finally found it. They hadnt even ordered it. Mistakes happen but customer service guy no care in the world or even an apology. Guess my business will be going somewhere else. Very disappointed, was my neighborhood home repair business. I guess when youre ready to purchase over 200 dollars of stuff they still dont care.

Found an impossible to find spring for my weed eater. The clerk was great . the grey haired typical south hill old man who didnt want to wait 2 whole minutes for them to find the price was horrible and I wanted to kick him. But she handled it with class!!

Super helpful folks at the ace hardware, really helpful. They have a great selection of tools to choose from. Also the gardening section is extensive, with tons of bbq equipment and furniture. I recommend this place, much easier to navigate verses the big box places.

Great selection of bulk fasteners. Nice people. They dont carry lumber or other large size construction supplies and they dont have a huge selection of anything but their selection is more than adequate on the things they do have.

Hard to get any help at this Ace I am in a wheelchair, and have a hard time reaching things. They act like it is a huge inconvenience

Unlike others who have chosen to negatively review this store, my experiences at the South Hill Ace, over a period of at least five years, have all been more than satisfactory. Many times I have come in with a project dilemma and one or more knowledgeable South Hill Ace employees have helped me with a creative solution, be it for my home, my farm, or my sailboat. My experience is that everyone at this Ace has a can-do attitude. Whether its plumbing, electrical, tools, gardening, service for my 2-cycle implements - all these, and more, not to mention at the check out stand, Im always impressed with the service I receive. I can wholeheartedly recommend to you the helpful hardware folks at South Hill Ace Hardware.

The staff are always friendly and helpful! They have a really great paint selection and is the place to go when you need a few things here and there. Love when they have the garden area in the summer.

Great place to get those hard to find nuts and bolts particularly those that the big box stores dont carry, you also can buy what you need instead of those pre-packed ones. They also have a great paint selection, quick mixing services. The staff are always friendly, helpful and courteous. What else could you ask for?

Well I love Ace over the big box stores any day. This one reinforces that. Took my granddaughter there for Christmas lights they had gone off sale the previous day but the clerk gave them to us at the sale price anyway. Saved me 30 dollars. My kinda place.

Rick at South Hill Ace Hardware has been very helpful and patient over the phone explaining about the snow blowers they have for sale. Most stores do not have any good ones left and we were pleasantly surprised to hear their store had what we were looking for. If the weather permits, we are going to venture up to 44th and Regal to make a purchase. Stay tuned for a final report.
