We rented the party barge to celebrate my husbands birthday. It was perfect. The weather was gorgeous, and we saw herons, egrets, pelicans and other wildlife. The staff at the marina are so friendly and helpful. They made the day extra special!! Thanks to everyone at the marina. Were now thinking this may need to be a yearly cruise.

Rented 2 single kayaks. Staff friendly and helpful. Beautiful way to get some exercise, fresh air, and lots of nature! Saw so many herons, egrets, and other water fowl. Will definitely be back to do that again.

Out family rented a tritoon boat and had the most amazing day. The two guys at the dock were funny, and great about sizing the kids for life jackets. The boat was beautiful! Bimini top was unexpected but amazing since there wasnt a cloud in the sky. Returning the boat was easy, and office staff were great. Our first time, but will probably be a biannual event.

Around here, this place is the best. I luv the street tacos at the cantina, the guys at the service dock have great memory, are nice, helpful, friendly and so are the folks inside the main building. The lake is a good size and its always nice to see people there. My husband and I rented a couple of waverunners (in orange) one day. We loved it so much we bought two of our own (in aqua) and have made Springfield Marina our place.

Everyone is very professional and friendly. This was our first time renting here and they were extremely busy but they are so well organized the whole check-in process was very quick! We had a great time and their equipment is well maintained. Thank you!

Lake Springfield Marina is just phenomenal. They make it easy, I called twice with questions and they were direct and honest. Rented a pontoon with a tube for the whole day and it was glorious. Will definitely be renting from here again.

I rented two boats at Lake Springfield Marina this week, a TRI-toon pontoon boat yesterday and a runabout ski boat today. Initially I didn’t want to spend the money, but BOTH days I ended up feeling like it was the best money I ever spent. The Tri-toon was just about brand new, and was immaculate. We cruised for a full day with my daughter and her family and had a wonderful time. We also got some skiing done, as the boat would provide a very decent pull for recreational skiing. Today we rented a runabout ski boat for a more serious ski session, (half day), and the ski boat, while not showroom new, was clean, well maintained, and perfect for our more dedicated skiers. I recommend this outfit without any hesitation. The staff is polite and helpful. The facility is convenient to the interstate, and we are all glad we decided to rent boats here during our vacation. We will come back for more when visiting Springfield again.

I can’t say enough good things about the experience we just had buying a new boat from the Lake Springfield Marina. Scott Tucker has been a pleasure to work with and not the lest bit pushy, all I can say is they GET IT! He’s put up with about a 100 different emails and a few last minute changes on our boat. We are transplants from FL, so where used to the big box stores of boat sellers. They could learn a lot from little old Lake Springfield Marina...

We rented a pontoon boat today from Lake Springfield Marina. We spent 4 fun hours on the lake. We ranged in age from 2 to 87. Lake Springfield Marina made sure we all had a good experience. The office staff made sure we knew what areas on the lake were safe and more importantly what areas to avoid. The worker (Josh, I think) at the dock throughly explained how to operate the boat. He tied the boat up extra tight to make sure everyone could comfortably board the boat. He explained the different styles of life jackets and made sure we had the style we wanted. When we returned he made sure we took all of our stuff, including a hat we thought had been lost. We were slow to unload but he did not make us feel rushed. He helped ensure that we had a great experience. When we went back to the office to complete the paperwork, the office staff also asked about whether we enjoyed ourselves. They all commented on how happy and excited my parents were to go on a boat ride. We mentioned that it was easier to get off the boat because there was less of a step. They told us the next time that we should explain our situation and that they would help us pick the easiest spot for all of us to get on and off. Overall we had a great experience. We will definitely plan another trip next year.

We rented a canoe four hours and navigated the “S Turn” -going in that general direction, as the man who gave us the canoe suggested. We had a very nice time. All who work there were very welcoming. Excellent price. The only thing I would have liked is to have been able to rent a paddle boat. They no longer rent them. Either way tho- it was a great time.

We are from Chicago, and we came to visit afriend. Went to Lake Springfield Marina, and we had such a great experience! Great place to go relax in the lake. Staff is BEYOND friendly and super helpful. Wish they had a lake canoeing rental for as cheap as they got them at lake Springfield marina. We are definitely coming back this summer. I just want to say thank you to all the staff. You all truly put the cherry on top to our wonderful experience in Springfield.

The Marina went above and beyond to help us with a boat engine that another repair shop messed up. In the end, we had to purchase another boat (which we purchased from them). The owners, mechanics and staff were incredibly polite, understanding excel with customer service.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. We rented a tandem kayak and a single kayak. Both filled up with water and we sat in water the entire time, staff said that was a balancing mechanism. Neither kayak tracked straight. Both would pull to one side frequently sending inexperienced kayaker in circles and experienced kayakers regularly having to do extreme maneuvers to avoid spinning around. It made kayaking extremely frustrating and difficult and we had to cut our 4 hour rental short by over an hour because it was just too frustrating. Mentioned at counter and they said would give a discount if we decided to come back. No problems with staff, just equipment. We brought our two single kayaks for others in our party and they worked fine, so do not think it was a water current issue.

You can get your boating license there and rent one

Place is great. Workers here are always helpful and friendly. Great place to launch. And for guys with little boats, its a good place to avoid all the big boys. Stay back in the coves for peaceful fishing.

Updated 6/22/20: we did rent paddleboards again. They are new inflatable boards with correct, functioning paddles. However, no bungees or anything to secure supplies to. The only possible way to even bring water is to carry...while paddling. Not very practical. Very much enjoyed the actual boards from last visit, which i understand are only used for yoga. They are much better quality, stability and have bungees to at least bring water. Every state we have paddleboarded, the price per hour was cheaper and boards were better quality.6/6/20: Rented 2 SUPs for 4 hours. Boards were inflatables, but pretty stable. However we were given one canoe paddle and one broken SUP paddle. Was not possible to stand up paddle for long as the paddles were way too short, and we are 5 ft and 51. Very disorganized check in/board retrieval process

Had a awesome time with the wife! The fishing boat was not expensive and I caught the biggest cat fish I ever caught in my life!!! 24 15lbs. Throw back the Mexican restaurant had a pretty good margarita, kind of pricey drinks but you can bring you own. Highly recommend!

Wee got to use more of the services other that buying a lake license and appreciate Joe in helping set up our tritoon rental and the Grand Daughters had a blast chasing away all the pirates on the lake with their water guns. Wish I could remember the guy’s name at the counter inside, but rented from here and had an atrocious customer service experience (rudeness, condescending). I’ll go to Lake Shelbyville from now on to rent. Findlay Marina has a much smoother process.

Very beautiful and HUGE lake...great for fishing... They rent fishing and speed boats and also pontoons and jet skis at reasonable prices in 4 hour and 8 hour increments...definitely worth it to take your family out and enjoy, or to just go relax and do some fishing!!!! 🎣

I had a terrible experience with this marina due to a salesman misrepresenting a boat. I drove 7 hours to purchase a boat from these guys and when I showed up the boat was filthy, had scratches, tears, and other defects that should have been disclosed by the salesman. The photos looked great online and the listing said in good condition and the boat was priced at the top of the market. I specifically asked if there were any scratches that were more than just wear and tear.... Nope was the answer I got. Thanks for wasting my time! There was a two foot scratch down to the fiberglass on the seam of the hull and 2 puncture holes where the fiberglass had been repaired. This wasnt all that was wrong with the boat however Im not here to bad mouth the boat, only to show my disgust for the integrity of some who work there. You ought to be ashamed of yourself! Didnt even have the decency to wash the boat before a potential sale.....pathetic!!! If youre in the market for a new boat, I suggest you look elsewhere.

They detailed my boat, left it out in the raid for a day or so called me the day before a holiday 3 hrs before closing to pick it up...I could leave it over a 3 day wkend if I preferred. They didnt put the props up under cover so both ends were full of water. Theyre pricey too.l

My parents purchased a StarCraft boat from Lake Springfield Marina valued over $50,000 on April 2016. After 1 month in the water, the quality of the boat greatly diminished including peeling of decals, non-working keys, poor Bluetooth connectivity technology, charging stations, operations of doors and many ailments. The boat was sent back to StarCraft in October 2016 for warranty refurbishment. Its now Memorial Day weekend - 8 MONTHS later - the boat has still not been fixed even though it is promised week after week. It takes 8 weeks for StarCraft to construct a new pontoon, yet refurbishment isnt complete after 8 months? What is going on? Is consumer fraud part of their manufacturing mission statement? After Springfield Lake Marinas inability to find the status of the repairs including including including the physical location of the pontoon, my parents reached out to speak to the manufacturer directly but received no communication. Lake Springfield Marina had no issue taking the cash transaction sale but their ability to manage the servicing of the $50,000 investment seems to be a low priority. I guess my parents next step is filing a consumer complaint with the BBB and the Attorney General to ensure others dont receive like treatment.
