I go here for my raw dog food. In this area, Bright Oak meats has great product. And, the customer service is as good as it can be with one person there. This isnt Macys were you can get your own personal shopper. This is a small outfit trying to keep afloat post-pamdemic. Perhaps a little grace could be given as we all know employees are in short supply..

Absolutely horrible first experience. Called beforehand to make sure i could get gizzards n hearts for my dog made n when i got there she pointed me to the frozen stuff. I waited my turn in line n then when it was my turn I explained how i am new to this n need help. She again pointed me to the frozen section n told me to read the labels. I said I sometimes need help with this type of stuff n she seemed irritated n then told me i would have to wait because she was helping someone else. Um... It was my turn, I am in tears but yeah, go help someone else. I will NEVER come back and i will NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE. Horrible customer service.

A clean super small shop with an ok variety of meats available. The service was great, the people friendly and helpful.The problem was with prices. The prices were outrageous on the majority of items available with a very few items that were less expensive then you would find in a super market.To sumerize, if you want exotic meats, this is the place to go hands down. But if you want something like a beef or pork roast you get more bang for your buck at some where like WinCoI suggest you check it out at least once.

Dont let the bad reviews scare you! I was a bit worried coming here due to some of the reviews but Im glad I did. The jerky is AMAZING. It definitely seem kind of pricey to me at first, but after sampling it my boyfriend and I bought two pounds( definitely worth the price) . We also bought a pound of the ground beef which was very fresh and good. We will definitely be repeat customers.

Great place to get local meat butchered right there in the shop. They also have great house made jerky that is delicious! Me and my girlfriend love getting the Teres Major steaks which is the shoulder cut, super tender and delicious! Not something you find unless you go there.

I didnt used to go there when it was the old store but now I go to the new store.I like the people and The Butchers behind the counter are very helpful.I get the ground-up meat in the 2 lb bags for my dogs now as well.Ive put them on a mainly meat diet and lowered their carbohydrate intake. It is good for my dogs.I am glad Bright Oak provides this meat because I use it quite a bit now.

Smells good, Always clean, the staff goes above and beyond to help in anyway they can. I always once a month get my little Pug, Sir. Arnold Pugsly Putnam (Witch almost all of Spfd Or. No who he is. ) Dog Bones and I always tell them there for my little pug, (I cant never remember the size of cut) they always seem to get them cut down just perfect and never seem to mind. There prices are really good. They also take food stamps❗They have Meat Boxes that I always pick up its priced better than in the supermarket. Perfect cuts and quality. They have the best meat selection, some of there beef comes from the area I grew up where we took the cow into wilderness areas and let them freee range until snow got to deep,plus hormone free. You can definitely taste the difference. Friendly employees as well

We love there Beef Boxes they are great cuz they last our household a few months til we need to get another beef box.The only downside is 1.They Do Not have a Chicken Box, which we feel they should at least make a small box.2. Theres a Pork Box but it has to much Pork Sausage (* Not Everyone Likes Pork Sausage *) & Not Enough Other Items. Would be better if only had 1-2 pork sausages. Then we feel would buy Beef/Pork/Chicken Boxes every few months.Plus We thinks others would like or agree.

I bought one of their meat boxes for almost 200 dollars! Very dissapointed in the meat the chicken tasted old and freezer burnt. The chuck roast was very fatty with a huge bone in it so very little meat! The pork chops were thin and some of them were steaks instead of chops!! The hamburger wasnt even lean. I will never order from them again!!!

Ive been here a small handful of times over the last 12 years, and I always kick myself for not stopping by more often. The meat selection is good, the prices are fair, and the quality is consistently great. Not a bad place to stock up!

I get my dog door here every week and the dogs love it. Sometimes I get marrow bones or suet too and the staff is always friendly. However, sometimes the dog food stock is hit or miss so I might have to change between beef, chicken, or lamb without notice, but overall they generally have plenty of what I need. I just wish I could preorder to ensure I have exactly what I need every week!

Best place to get steak and other exotic meats in oregon

Huge selection you wont find at any chain grocery store (Alligator jerky, Beef bones, Polish sausages barely scratch the surface). Locations a bit dingy but comes with the territory of its location. Prices are cheaper for the fresh meat cuts, and sometimes if you speak to the right guy, theyll order stew/stock bones in bulk for you.

I get beef bones for my Cattle Dog, Bella. She LOVES them, and, cant beat $3 for a bag of 4-5 good sized bones. Sure helps on rainy days, when we cant go to the dog park! I get about 4-5 bags, toss them into deep freeze.LOL, guess I should actually get some MEAT! The other reviews sound really good!

WOW! The best jerky I have ever tasted and at a great price! Big selection on different flavors of jerky. My favorites where jalapeno and sweet/spicy. All their beef is grass feed so no gmo corn to worry about and the 10% ground beef is only $2.80 a pound! Wont buy anywhere else ever again!

I have been driving by for years, never stopping because I like to buy local meat from local people. Finding out that is what Bright Oak is catering to to a certain degree. The prices are killer. Grass fed local beef for less than $3.oo/lb! And the pork box was a great deal with the BEST bacon I have ever had, even though I would rather see some local pork rather than from North Dakota. The staff is kind and welcoming even when the store is packed tight with demanding customers. I was beyond impressed with the quality of the beef. I will most definitely be back.

They have an extensive selection of different meats. The jerky is great and the staff is very helpful and polite. The appearance isnt quite so appealing, but that doesnt reflect the quality and good service. I would recommend giving it a try.

This has been a company I have been going to as a child, as my boyfriend. Tho we never knew each other growing up. Their beef jerry is home. Made and amazing, great beef cuts, a little more than store bought but well well worth it. They take cash card and food stamps. They are great. Have a huge selection of meats, meat boxes, dog bones, dog food, beer wine, candy. Everything really.

While they have a decent selection the few cuts I have bought were disgusting. The cold case is nothing like Longs Meats in Eugene and has no knee deep / grass fed options.The place feels dirty, which is unacceptable for a butcher shop.
