I usually never review anything or anywhere, but the service I received just an hour ago made me really want to give them a shout out. I was assisted by Jasmine who made the process really easy for me. She had to keep retesting me on the eye blowing portion of the test, but she never made me feel bad about messing up. She also chose in my opinion the best pair of glasses for me that were very stylish and I immediately had her rung it up. Doctor Mikyung conducted my exam, and she made me feel very welcome and comfortable. She answered all of my questions to the point I felt very comfortable in deciding the best pair of glasses for me. This store is located in Springfield mall. The set up of the store was amazing. Even a child would be able to navigate around. They even had desk around the room where we can sit and discuss. The staff were very helpful and listened to all our concerns. The doctor was amazing. She explained everything to me. She answered all of my questions with examples. I am super satisfied with this eye store. Definitely coming back!

Very disappointed to visit Vision works in Springfield mall VA. I have insurance covered for all High options I chose but The girl (I see on the receipt name Anna) was made up the insurance info. said its not cover (transitional lenses). She told us to pay more for the glass lenses, not a plastic one ( Ive been wearing glasses all my life that I havent seen lenses making by glasses now?). Then she ordered the plastic one (I checked with the insurance). She is also very very pushing me to finish the order.When I pick up the glasses, She said they are all making from plastic, no glass lenses. She ignored me when I walked in and not served me until the manager told her to. (She is the only available and I am the only customer to walk in).Asking her to adjust the glasses, she did really quick and doesnt care if its fit or not. Doesnt clean the lenses after adjustment until I ask her to.She seem like she has experiences of working in this field, but very unprofessional customer services.In the same vision works in a different location which Ive been every pass year was giving me almost half price of what she quoted in the same options I chose. I explained to her but she wasnt listen and tried to push me to accept what shed chose.The reason I gave 2 stars, that because i talked to the manager and she is very nice and polite (not rude talking like this girl).Very bad Customer service attitude like Anna. This store is never see me again.Hoping you customer to aware of where you want to go and need to do a research before you order to avoid unhappiness and a rip off.

I was very happy with the service that I received at vision works. The front desk ladies were really nice! They practiceD social distancing and hand sanitizer expectations. Dr YUN MIKYUNG was exceptional! My daughter had seen her and recommended her to me. I was not disappointed! She was kind and took her time with me. She kept me up-to-date on what she was seeing with my eyes - she was just great! I will definitely be going back to her again!

All the staff at this location is are super friendly and helpful. Destani and Dr. Minh Tam Nguyen are helpful and very sweet! Doctor Minh Tam walked me through and explain everything in detail so that I have a better understanding regarding of my eyes condition. Lots of good tips how to take care your eyes too. When it comes to the front desk, Destani is awesome! Definitely coming back to this location. I finally found a good eye doctor place as my primary doctor.

Been using this place the past few years for eye exams since they are close and reliable. Took several years off from seeing an eye doctor but now go annually to this place. Great eye doctor and super helpful. Was able to go back to contacts with this place after being told years ago my options were limited. No eye issues now and my eyes keep improving every couple of years (instead of getting worse like most people as they get older).

Tamika and Destani and the entire staff at this VisionWorks were absolutely amazing and so, very friendly. They took the best care of me with all of my needs, including my eye exam, contacts, and eye glasses. Destani and Tamika provided me with the utmost assistance with selecting my new pair of glasses, and they made me feel so comfortable and like family. I truly enjoyed my amazing experience with them, and I’m so happy to come back there regularly, so long as Tamika and Destani are there to greet me with their friendly and gracious smiles. It was busy, regardless the staff wanted to keep the appointments done on time. The doctor very good bedside manner, she answered my questions. staff, friendly and made sure their clients were all served.

Customer service is not great at all when calling to check on anything. Person picks up the phone you tell them what your calling about she tells you to hold on then slams the phone down this is at 5:30pm stayed on hold for over 25 mins. So I decided to call the store back and still on hold. So I get in my car to drive over to see there is not one customer in the store and two ladies are sitting at their desk laughing and enjoying there conversation while the phone continues to ring. Do not get anything from here terrible business.

It was an enjoyable experience. The Dr. was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. They seemed to understand the complex health insurance options as well.

Never coming back. I ordered glasses, and when I came to pick it them up, they were not the frames I had picked out. Someone had mistakenly mixed them up with someone else’s. Instead of apologizing, the salesperson continually insisted that she did not make a mistake. So I picked out another pair and waited another 10 days to have them filled. When I returned the person at the front desk was highly annoyed with the customers and told me I would have to wait a while for my order. I waited patiently and politely during all three of my visits to this store but I will not be returning. I can’t deal with the bad attitudes of the employees.

Extremely unprofessional staff except for staff member Tameka (absolutely wonderful lady). This office discriminates based on PERCEIVED insurance status so please do not waste your time or money here.

I had an appointment scheduled for today at 4pm. Since I was in the mall a couple of hours earlier I thought I would stop by and ask if I could get an earlier appointment. When I got there they were very busy but the receptionist was very kind and stated they did not have any earlier appointments but I could fill out my paperwork so I wouldnt have to at 4pm. When I turned in my paperwork the receptionist asked if she could keep my insurance card and return it to me when I came back. She said she would keep it with my folder. I said sure. Later when I arrived at 3:45pm for my 4pm appointment I waited in line as there was another customer before me. The receptionist, different from the one I spoke with earlier, that was helping the customer ahead of me seemed very nervous and frazzled for some reason. Once she was done checking hum in the doctor came from the back and gave her a folder. Instead of acknowledging me, the receptionist went to go deal with the customer who had just completed his eye exam and sat down with him to go over lens options. After a minute she came back to the recepyion desk to look something up on the computer and said to me, You see, I have no help and the other lady sitting there is the manager and she should be helping me but she is not. I said tonher that my appointment was at 4pm, that I arruved early as they had asked me to and they still had my insurance card. She looked around and couldnt find.my card. The manager came iver and pulled my card out of the folder and gave it to me and went back to the customer she was working with. The other receptionist also went back to the other customer. Neither one of them acknowledged that I had an appointment and simply ignored me. After 10 minutes of waiting, I interrupted the manger to ask when I would be checked in and she said whenever someone had time. I told her to cancel my appointment and she said, ok. I was so appalled by what I had encountered. Both the manager and receptionist were highly unprofessional and rude. This was my first time here and I will not be going back. The lack of care and respect they showed is simply unprofessional!!! Inwill be sure to let my friends and family know about the poor service I received there and advise them to go elsewhere.

I went to get my new glasses yesterday which was great cause I really needed new glasses the girl that helped me was extremely helpful, however the girl that helped me while I called to check if I had to make an appointment to get my new glasses she seem a bit rude and disrespectful towards customer service that’s the only thing I’m complaining about other then that I love this place I have been coming here for almost two years now.

Staff were friendly and competent when getting eye exam and new progressives. But when I called 23 days later for my glasses that were due 14 days after visit, they had no record of my order. After much research by them and my waiting on hold, they found my order under a different name and phone number. Name sounding nothing like my last name (so not just a simple spelling mistake). Eventually they found my glasses under wrong name. Staff were polite and helpful.

If you come here, youll be waiting for hours before youre helped by anyone working. Awful service. Extremely slow. Left without glasses.

The people here are nice but buyer beware. I purchased a frame and progressive digital lenses in June 2020. The glasses paid by my insurance and me were over $1,000. My vision was blurry from the start and it turned out that the PD measurements were wrong, which Visionworks corrected. I wore the corrected glasses for one-month and during this time the right side frame constantly loosened then tightened resulting in one lens eventually falling out and lost, Clearly, the lost lens is not Visionworks fault but one would think that the $225 plus frames would hold a lens for longer than one month. The replacement cost for the lens is $750 since they say you need two although the glasses have been worn for only one month. I guess there is no warranty on the frame. $1,800 for one pair of glasses, presuming I was foolish enough to pay a second time that were worn for one month is extreme.

Lost my business. Called to reorder contacts and was told my Rx had just expired and I would have to come in for an examine. I am high risk for covid and asked if there was any option given the pandemic and this location being in a shopping mall. Was told I would have to wear glasses until I felt safe but they could check with the Doctor for an extension. Never called me back. Call again four days later and had to call three before someone answered. First two times they hung up directly and third time they thought they had called me. Ultimately they refused to offer an extension and said I would have to come in because “corporate” hasn’t authorized them to extend Rxs and it’s up to the Doctor. Forcing someone to come in during these times is not ok. I’ll get my Rx somewhere else now.

Outside of the SALE portion of my experience, its been very rushed and irrelevant to them. My glasses were never fitted, are bent and the lenses are blurry to me. I feel like once they had my money ($609) I failed to exist and now that Im asking for help Im a bother. I had hoped for some customer support...rather frustrating!

Dr. Y was great! Super pleasant, explanatory of my options & despite it being a busy Saturday afternoon and several patients waiting, she was patient and thorough. Will continue to come here for my eye vision needs

Not enough front desk/floor staff. They all seemed agitated and overwhelmed, however, the one who helped us was nice. If my previous optometrist took VSP, I’d go running back to them.

The doc was great and I would def return. I would have appreciated more attention when picking out frames though. No one checked on me or offered to, help me decide, which is the first time thats ever happened to me while shopping for frames. But overall a positive experience.

They have rude, unprofessional staff. They did not check if my insurance covers or not and I was told that I am good to see the doctor and after eye exam they took many more days to check the insurance and did not even give my eye exam to me and when I kept calling and reminding them they said me and my daughter to bring money while when we talked to insurance my daughter was fully covered. After long time they told me to bring doctors fee and one of lady told me that I cannot leave their premises without paying fee. I told that if you didn’t make sure from insurance then why you set me inside for exam. I was so embarrassed and they wasted our time

Wow ! Great experience every time. Came in last week and Shane (he is the not manager but certainly should be !!) was very helpful . He showed me vast collection of new and stylist frames. Shane also was able to help me while leading the rest of the store when questions came up.

I had an appointment today Aug 11, 2020 for eye checkup at Vision Works Springfield Mall. Everything was going alright until eye exam. When I came out to choose glasses the price was high so I called my colleague to know about my insurance benefits. Suddenly the same lady namely Fauzia Chughtai who was processing my benefits jumped into my table (almost 20 ft away) and started shouting ‘Are you mad’ and called me MAD twice. I was shocked that I was talking to my colleague and not to her and she had no right to talk to me like that. I also told her that I will lodge a complaint of your misbehavior. I was very much upset and left the premises without purchasing.I will definitely not recommend my family, friends and colleagues (over 500 people) to go that outlet. 👎👎👎

This was actually my second attempt at scheduling an eye appointment because the first establishment required me to have an insurance ID number, which my insurance company told me I shouldn’t need. Immediately, I was told that Visionworks would get the number for me so I didn’t have to worry about it. They were willing to take me the same day, although I scheduled for the following day at my own choosing, and the appointment was performed with minimal waiting time from the time I entered the door until the time I left. I was slightly cautious about getting an eye appointment in the mall, but I can assure you, there is no need for that.

I was able to get an eye exam for my 6 years old daughter and for my Grandmother as a walk in and it was pretty close to the last appointment they had available, It was nice of them to let us walk in. Tuesday, the store manager is GREAT! She made the whole process smooth and perfect and made sure we found the perfect frames. The receptionists were professional and nice. The prices for an eye exam have gone up since last year. The doctor was not professionally dressed, and needed to learn how to communicate to a client. After she lectured to me, not inform me, about contact lenses wear and when to replace them. She tried to threaten me that if I didnt follow that I could not get a prescription in the future. Weird since I didnt really say anything, that only I forgot if my old lenses were weekly or monthly. That was one example, but she was like that the whole time. I think she did a competent eye exam except I think my left eye prescription could be a little clearer. The doctor they had last year had a total different demeanor, professional and nice, which what I expect from any doctor.Update: emailed (the owner) that replied to my comment with my contact information, no response.

After a year of looking I finally found the pair of glasses I was looking for. The staff was helpful and the doctor was knowledgeable.

I ordered two glasses from them and they told me they will be ready in two weeks and that I will get a text when they are ready. The estimated time was Jan 6. I looked forward to their text on Jan 6 and everyday thereafter for 10 days. I get no text, no call or email. I called them today and a lady told me they had sent me a text on Jan 6. This is a lie. I wish they had just apologized for not notifying me. An apology goes a long way than a flat out lie. Having said that, the lady who helped me with purchasing my glasses was professional.

Long visit for a walk in (had to wait between pre-scheduled patients) but they are THOROUGH!! The doctor was fantastic...extremely professional. The clerks were polite and pleasant and efficient. Gave me scripts for both eyeglasses and contacts-plus my shipment of contacts came in four days later! Great!

Really convenient first-floor location adjacent to Target at Sfield Mall, though parking on that side can be difficult at times. But the store has a wide selection of frames for him/her and the staff is personable and knowledgeable. Dr Yun, the optometrist there, is a very kind, sweet lady so it was a great experience all around. In and out - including eyeglass purchase - in about 1/2 hr on a Friday at 4pm. Highly recommended.

First time at this location, Its a nice store, with a very helpful staff. But not a good impression for my first time I just received my glasses & noticed the frame isnt brand new its scratched up from the sides & the middle piece is literally broken.

We called and asked a bunch of questions before going. Shane answered all of our questions and remembered us when we arrived. Shane verified our insurance coverage and let us know that we could have single vision glasses ready same day. We returned later and Shaunteace, the General Manager, completed our order and took care to be sure the frames and lenses met our expectations. Excellent experience!

Great experience! Dr. Yun and the rest of the staff were great. They were very thorough and took their time with everything. As a doctor myself, I appreciated Dr. Yun taking her time to explain everything, and provide me with different options for my contacts without being pushy or trying to make me change what I have been using successfully for years.

First I want to thank Maureen for her great help and assistance. My nose bridge broke on one side of my glasses and I came in to have it replaced. I admit that I didnt buy my glass here, but after Maureen replaced both nose bridges, the unexpected shock came... I was told that the store didnt charge for this service. This act alone will have me coming to Visionworks for my next glasses! I have already referred 3 people to them and specifically Maureen. My glasses havent felt better, and I am so grateful for Maureen and Visionworks help. I was treated as good as a paying customer with great care and concern, even though I wasnt charged.

I spent over $300 on a pair of fabulous prescription sunglasses and a piece on the frame fell off recently which leaves me unable to properly wear the glasses. I go in to see what repairs can be done (mind you, I was totally fine with paying for a replacement piece or repair work) only for the young lady at the desk to tell me that I have no choice but to purchase the frames again. She didnt even check to see if I had a warranty on the current frames I have. Needless to say, Ill be buying my glasses online for a much lower price and never purchasing from Visionworks again. What a scam .I bet Lenscrafters would have fixed it. Lesson learned.

I was hesitant to give vision Works another chance after visiting one of there other locations. Tuesday apologized for the service I received and ensured me that my experience here would be better. Tuesday worked with me personally and made my visit very Personable. My glasses were ready the same day and I didn’t get any run around with my insurance. The staff was polite and respectful. I have been going to VisionWorks for over 10 years. I just moved here and came to this visionworks for my appointment in July. Doctor was great and fast. I ordered contacts in July and to this day have not received them. I never receive a phone call that my contacts were in. When I went to the store in August they told me they were in backorder which is hard to believe seeming how they are a popular brand. Then when they finally came in in September they ordered the wrong ones. Then when they did come in I went to pick them up to find out they shipped them to my house. Still haven’t seen them.Worst VisionWorks ever.
