So I have some inherited gold laying in a drawer for years. Decided to sell on a whim and to brush away some old memories. Went in to gold traders. Was helped immediately. Friendly, clean office. Had no idea of quality of gold. Nice young woman tested my pieces. Gave me a price, a check that I could cash across the street. A pleasant experience. One caveat is to recommend that anyone selling gold should check the price of melt gold to figure out the worth before going in or to google while you are there. They made a $600 profit off my exchange. I understand they need to make money too. But I wish in sake of transparency, they said “ we take this percentage off the price as our fee.” Seems more upfront and the consumer feels less likely that they made a bad deal. Live and learn.

For some reason I am unable to edit my previous review. The management of Gold Trader reached out to me with resolutions. I am unbelievably busy and don’t check back often. They were patient, resolved, and respectful. They audited my transaction and gave me a fair resolution. I was very impressed by their business ethics and would recommend their business without hesitation. It is a rare thing today to have business stand behind their reputation. Much Appreciated.

Service and staff are extremely professional and polite.. but if u are trying to sell old gold jewelry or scrap, the prices they offer are a joke. Literally offered me less than 15% of scrap value for old gold rings and chains. Thats my only complaint however.

Shared emails about a loose lab grown diamond I own. Bought from auction, it came from well known jeweler in Vegas. MSRP was high I admit, but when you look online and at retail outlets the prices are still good. They sent back a eBay listing showing one that was larger and a couple hundred dollars. At the same time I could look on eBay and find the same at a higher price. In a 14k white gold ring setting at a large retailer the 1 carat lab grown diamond sells in the $3k range. So....Im going to put in a setting and try elsewhere. I gave a neutral review, I cant say anything bad.... It is what it is, I just wouldnt try there again.

I’ve always shop for my jewelry at Hannoush. I decided to give Gold trader a try we purchased a diamond wedding band, but I really wasn’t happy with it after putting it together with my other ring. I went back and fourth trying to find the right fit I ended up feeling bummed and just kept the band. I received a call from Dave wanting me to come in to speak to me about the ring. He really wanted to make things right and wanted me to be happy wearing the band so after speaking with him he understood where I was coming from and he totally addressed the issue and now I have the ring I wanted and I was very pleased on how they treated me. I will be going back for future purchases.

Get rid of some old gold, jewelry, gave me exactly what I was expecting, the young lady in there that took care of me was very professional and very knowledgeable. Their prices are very reasonable I will definitely be back to purchase.

“The Gold traitor” Don’t make the mistake i made going to this establishment. Worst scrap rates in town and will take advantage of your knowledge.

They are always very rude to me when I go in there and also very rude to my boyfriend when he goes in as well. They are sarcastic and act like they don’t even want to deal with me when I go in there with stuff. Mind you I’ve sold them stuff before to find out later on that they ripped me off by a long shot. But I didn’t go back I just let it go. Every time I’ve gone in there the whole vibe going in is very unwelcoming and negative, everyone seems to have an attitude and they just don’t treat their customers well at all. Never going back! I give up on them.

Dont expect to walk out with a wheelbarrow of cash if youre looking to trade in your old jewelry. I think theyre straight forward with the price of the element but theyre not paying you for the design or the jewel. I have not ever gotten anything back for the diamonds, just the metal portion. They make out way better than we do, thats for sure. I gave two stars because their commercials are misleading. Just be aware if youre having a hard time letting go of an important piece, youll be better off going somewhere else. You will have your picture taken if you trade anything in as well.

I had 7 pieces of jewelry that I had taken to gold traders for a quote! When I got the quote I felt that I had been lowballed! When I told the clerk that I would think about their offer they proceeded to increase their offer, I obviously had been given a low quote prior, finallly the owner came over and asked me how much I really wanted for the items to which I responded a price that is fair!I left and a week or so later went to a place on route 5 in West Springfield that a friend had suggested, and they offered me $100.00 more for just 5 of the pieces, that gold trader had offered $100.00 less for all 7 items -- What a rip off - well I guess somebody has to pay for all those commercials & actors.I would not recommend Gold Trader to any one!

My last experience was exactly that. The guy tried to tell me my chain was 10 kt when it was 14 and he then apoligized...but i feel he still gave me a too low in the chain..

They cheat you do yourself a favor don’t waste your time going there I bring a diamond ring there that was forth 3,000 they try to give me $150:00 for it the gold alone was worth over $400:00 I know this because I just had it done and bye the way I have paper work on what it was worth so they lie to you please, please don’t go there .
