My who family shops at this location and I’ve noticed on several occasions that Mr. Lee, the owner/manager does not, feel the need to train his cashiers (who are often rude and can’t speak much English) to interact with customers in a professional manner; but then it is expected at a location where even the manager doesn’t care about the customers. Mr. Lee will side with his cashier and shun an upset customer. Professionalism and Mr. Lee and his employees fall on opposite sides of a pole.Apart from that, there’s a wide variety of fruits, vegs and meats available at a decent price.

Great place to find what youre looking for. I found collard greens in plenty supply at a very reasonable price. I love this place.

They have fresh veggies and fruits. Its always busy and there is no better time to stop by.1 less star because of the cashiers!

First review ever.What the awful service we received from la mart.We always bought cases fruit and tons seafood from this place, but not anymore. First My boyfriend wanted to buy 2 cases Longan and 1 case rambutan and he told the front desk. a old man (I think he is the owner of store) . He directed my boyfriend to paid first. My boyfriend told cashier exactly what he want. The old man came to the cashier station double check before he got them. For some reason they did not charge right. They treat us like we were stealer. We had big quarrel. Finally one lady came said sorry about it happened. Tried to give us one case rambutan as apologized. We did not take it. We do not want free stuff. We just want a sorry from the old man that he insulted both of use in-front everyone in the store. But not received it

Well, the guy in produce dropped some peppers on the floor, and we watched as he threw the floor peppers into the bin with the rest of the peppers... when a 13 year old girl says I dont think thats very sanitary, and says she doesnt trust the produce oh, I kind of understand

Best place to buy fresh groceries!

If you want fresh fish, this is the place to go. Also vegetables and fruits will be cheaper. I go specifically for those and love it. Finding parking can be difficult based on the time but this is a great hidden gem.

The space is slightly smaller as compared to the number of products they have encorporated within but they have not compromised with the quality of product they are giving. The fresh produce is sooo good!! This was my first visit and not to mention that Im there regular customer from now. They are offering better product at much cheaper price so its a win win situation.

Some prices are high, but its ok.It would be nice if they explain (shortly) some products to their clients. Not everyone knows about them.

Good place for fresh food

I was looking for the coinstar machine but they no longer have one there, I found a coinstar machine at the new Giant in Springfield. I did not shop in this place so its not fair to give a rating but I did not want to just leave it empty.

I found what I needed for a good price.It was very hard to keep safe distancing.

Great selection of vegetables & international food. Not as clean & organized like most other Supermarkets in the area. The prices are great.

I go to this place every week there prices are cheaper than regular stores, they usually have what I am looking for.

They have improved since before covid. This place is much cleaner now. The store is beginning to get crowded as it used to be, however shoppers and employees are wearing masks and not crowing the lines. I would go there but only if I really have to because it is starting to get crowded just like before.

If you are international and looking to find something you think you may not find in the United States, La Mart might have it. The store is organized, good fish- different kinds and fruits as well. Some really good African food and spice as well

STAY AWAY!On 6/17, my mom was double-charged for 2 items totalling $9.61 and also sold a bag of cherries for $6.58 that turned out to be rotten. She is just too old and frail to have realized this on the spot (or the fact that her printed original receipt was incorrectly date-stamped 6/14 instead of 6/17. When I stopped by the very next day to request appropriate refunds, I was assisted by three extremely rude employees who kept arguing that I had no proof of anything I was claiming, that their cash register technology absolutely never fails, and that the receipt clearly states that there is only a 2-day window for returns/exchanges, which they claimed had expired. Two of them even began to pull up videotape recordings on a screen, looking to find me on video and telling me they dont see me anywhere (when I repeatedly reminded them it should be my Moms image theyre looking for; not mine). One kept insisting that I return some other day when a manager would be on duty. Oh really? No manager on duty?When I accepted to forgo the refund on the cherries and asked to at least be reimbursed for the over-rings, one of them actually started waving goodbye at me. This type of customer service is entirely unacceptable and more than enough to suggest they WILL (or at least should) go out of business if this is the business approach theyre going to pursue. Shame on this shambolic operation!By the way, many reviews cite cheap produce prices, but the truth is their prices are NOT one bit cheaper than the Giant that used to occupy this premises.DONT BOTHER!

This place is great! They have a fresh fish and meat market...which means you pick the fish you want, and they prep it the way you want. Didnt see anything that was farmed raised in terms of fish. The produce is also fresh. Will be back again and again!

Not as clean and organized as Hmart in Burke but I think price is cheaper. Labels and locations of grocery stuff can be a challenge. Fish area needs cleaning and sanitized, lacks sufficient protection from potential contaminants. Staff are courteous and helpful.

The good: big market, a lot of international foods (Asian and Latin), accesible prices. The bad: super crowdy, no entrance control, no COVID-19 protocol in place (except the use of mask to enter the market), no social distancing marks in the floor...

Fresh vegetables, meats, and prices are very competitive. Not very big store, but has pretty much everything you need for groceries. Meats are managed by an old Korean staff, who checks the quality of all meats very well. My wife likes the quality and smell of meats there. Also they sell fresh fish and sea foods. We do grocery there ever week. Highly recommend.

I enjoyed my visits to this market however l, customer service needs improvement, the cashiers are not friendly and no one on the floor to assist with questions or products

All Pakistani, Indian, Chinese, Vietnamese vegetables fruits & groceries are available here & mostly inexpensive. Seafood not fresh but in vast variety. Very good friendly staff

My wife and I make this our go-to grocery store. Only 20 mins from us. Parking can be a little hard at times but its worth it for the fresh groceries. Wide selection of west Indian vegetables too.

Has international food at fair prices, which anyone can appreciate. Aisles are a bit too close together, as well as the cashier area, which makes it hard sometimes to move from place to place. But, the people here, both customers and staff, are nice and are mindful to make space for everyone and put their carts to the side. Been going here for a while and every time has been a great experience.

Good food quality, very nice customer service in this place .specifically the cashiers in the front very quickly service and they dont waste my time.Note : the store owners should decrease the prices of the non food products. Thats the only comment I have negative about the store. specifically the one is located in south van dorn. Alexandria.

Amazing variety of fruits, vegetables, Korean specialties, Halal meat, fresh, dried, and frozen fish, Latino foods, Indo-Pakistani food, and much else. It is not Harrods of London. Incredibly low prices, sometimes a third of what you would pay at Giant. Only caveat is that if you are wedded to popular American brands, you will not find much selection. Bakery is not much to write home about. Traditional dairy selection is pretty feeble, except you can find interesting Latino cheeses and Indian yogurt.

One of a kind international market! Has an incredible selection of produce and fish that cannot be found in any chain grocery stores. Prices are unbelievably low. I had a hard time believing the listed prices were correct until I checked out. Apples and blackberries were literally one-third of the supermarket price.

I love coming here the variety of veggies meats. A lot of stuff u cant find in American grocery stores. Also theres different brands. But 1 thing that bothers me, I am Spanish but raised here and when I go there. A lot of employees talking about customers and some employees talking with language.

This is a great international foods store with and amazing selection at excellent prices. The local produce selection is the best I know. The focus is on Asian and Latin foods with some Middle Eastern selections. This store has an authentic international clientele, so do not expect the wide, shine, isles of an American store. My wife and I find it great fun to shop at La Mart.

Ive died and gone to produce heaven. Check out the fresh meats and seafood. Its international!

Overall, this mart is just another Korean market that sells fresh (mostly) fruits & veggies and other groceries. Im not knocking the products. However the staff can use a lesson in good Customer service practices.

This is a great international store!! The managers have helped me tremendously whenever I needed to find certain items or return things. They have never turned down on returning items so i dont know why other people said they wouldnt take it when that has never happened to me. Everyone is very helpful, its just a very busy store so they may seemed occupied but feel free to ask anyone!

Many of the Asian community shop at the Eden Center, but La Mart offers lots of Asian products and ingredients at comparable or better prices. Great fruits and vegetables to choose from at a remarkable price point. Sometimes parking can be at a premium, and if you happen to be a tag-along husband, you could find yourself in everyones way as you move through the aisles. Do yourself a favor and wait in the car while the professional does the gathering.

Very dirty and fly ridden. Decent prices. The redeeming factor of this store is the fact that there are so many unique options. With that being said if there was a clean store next door with the same products for the same price I would not shop here. Also the staff was rude for a few of my visits. A young lady literally crouched under the register she was working to answer texts to her friends ignoring me and other customers.

Look at this.. I dont know what to say. The customer service says that is how they sell their products . They sell this for $57.32 only 6 layers of REAL Meat on the top, and the rest of BONES.

This place is incredible as far as variety. The produce section is amazing. Quality is a different story. Fruits and veggies arent the best. But if you are looking for variety and exotic fruits and veggies, this is the place. The seafood section has just about everything. Meats, pork, goat, they have it all. Canned and frozen goods, pretty much anything you can imagine from India, Phillipines, central and south america, asia. All kinds of dried herbs and teas. Fantastic.
