I absolutely love this Gun shop. Brent and his wife are the nicest people. Always a smile and friendly. He never pressure sells, he greets you and lets you shop. He answers any questions and is always willing to help. My friends and I buy all our ammo, guns, accessories here. I would highly suggest shopping in this store. Its like the old time coffee shops, where you can visit and feel wanted. Anybody who says negative things about this store is definately out of their minds. Sometimes I even drop by twice a day. His prices are very reasonable as well. Id much rather keep my money local than the big box stores. Hes a patriot, and always willing to help.

Thought I would give them a try since I live close to the store. Went in looking for some ammo and couldnt get anyone to help me...as a matter of fact I was never even greeted while I shopped their ammo rack. Got the vibe that I wasnt important enough to deal with. I never asked for help so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went back in a few weeks later. I have a friend who bought a firearm from them...so I tried it again.Was treated the same way when I decided to give them another go of it...exact same thing happened. Some one behind the counter was helping a customer but the lady behind the counter was looking at a computer screen and never even said Hello or asked me for help.Will never set another foot in their store. Left there thinking I guess you have to be a high roller to get good service.I went back to The Stockpile in Clever and was treated as if they were glad I came in. I buy all my supplies from those guys....always helpful and appreciative.

Stoking fear and panic buying is how they turn a profit apparently. I went in there back in January to see what their ammo prices were like and was shocked to see much higher prices than you could find online or other shops, even during these difficult times for ammo purchasing.The real kicker though was how the guy at the counter was trying to sell an AR to a couple of obviously newer shooters, telling them that the new president was about to ban the AR and theyd better buy it today cause he was going to double the price of the gun tomorrow.Unbelievable that a shop owner would admit to unnecessary price increases and use such scare tactics to make a quick buck off new shooters. I cant recommend this store and havent gone back since this experience.

Brent at 417 Guns was so helpful and knowledgeable. I arrived late to the store after work (on Election Day, which is hectic for a gun shop), and Brent stayed after hours to finish my gun sale.I went in with the intention of looking and seeking advice and left as a happy customer. This place is amazing. The staff is top notch and experienced help is readily available. If youre thinking of buying a firearm, they have a massive selection of guns and ammo. My first purchase was a 500 rnd box of .223 and some 12 gauge buckshot. I went for ammo, but Ill be returning for a firearm. I had no expectations coming here, but was very impressed none-the-less. I rarely write reviews, but this was necessary. Extremely modern store. Everything is set out perfectly.10/10 would recommend.

Spent several hundred dollars with them after that I asked a couple of questions about AR platforms. Got the vibe the guy didn’t want to talk with me about that. Funny thing is he might of sold me one if he had.

Awesome folks. Bought a hybrid optic, ammo and some mags. Clean neat store and very knowledgable guys inside. They took care of my needs in a timely manner and even helped me with my LAR. Definitely coming back.

Honest folks. I purchased a set of sights for a Glock from these guys. When the employee installed them, he noticed they had some minor cosmetic blemishes from a prior customer who had them previously installed and didnt like the way they looked. The scratches were in a spot they would never be seen after he installed them, but the employee gave us half-off the price, stating it was the right thing to do.Otherwise, a great selection of gun parts for ARs as well as some handguns, optics, and ammo.

The owner Brent is one of the most knowledgeable shop owners around and also has years of experience. I always choose 417-guns first before anywhere else when I am needing to buy guns ammo accessories holsters etc. he carries only the best names in all the categories!!!

First time today to visit this shop. two of us were told by the owner if we werent buying to leave. Its a little hard to buy anything if you cant try to find it in the shop. I dont know how this place has stayed in business. First time buyer today, last time as well. What a jerk. Too many other gun shops to patronize to act this way. Thanks for nothing.

Pretty much my go-to store. Ive never had a problem getting quality service and advice from the owner no matter the people there or the club people mention. Can be slightly pricey, but the prices are not unreasonable.

Completely disappointed!! My husband called looking for a mount for his scope and was told they had them in stock. This was the only place in the Springfield area that had what he was looking for. Everyone else was sold out. The gentleman on the phone told him they would be open until 5:30. I got off work at 5 and raced to their location and made it by 5:15.. CLOSED!!! No one in sight!! Shouldnt tell your customers youll be open until a certain time and then skip out. You just lost a sale and a future customer.

Home town shop with hometown people..love it

Each and every time I have ever been to 417 guns I have always been treated very good and the staff are very knowledgeable about guns. The prices have been have competitive or cheaper than other shops. I have sent my friends and family to 417 and they have always been happy with the deals.If they dont have it in stock, Just ask.

Customer service is terrible. Prices way too high. The owner obviously had all his buddies in there that day, and was too busy telling crooked cop stories than to assist with me. Gave me a look of annoyance when I asked a question. Oh well, his loss...

Terrible customer service. There were no other customers in the store and still was like pulling teeth getting help with anything. Its like they were to busy to sell a gun. I had money and a gun in mind. They even had guns I was interested in... couldnt get any help. It was sad really. I wouldnt buy a gun from this place if they were half the price of anyone else

The service is horrible the guy was acted like he could care less if you bought a gun I had cash and came in to buy a 9mm sw mp he told me $599 came with a extra mag and holster but was over a hundred dollars more then other places I asked if he could sell just the gun and he said yes $489 I said I needed to consider and came back fifteen minutes later I told him Id take it but the guy was really rude then said I had to buy the $599 one said it would take weeks to get just the gun for $489 was treated rudely I will never be back. if your a buddy of his maybe you will be treated better

One of only a few class 3 dealers in Springfield. Maybe not the largest selection of firearms/equipment in the world, but the guy who owns it is a straight shooter and will point you in the right direction with NO sugar coats lol. I went in to possibly purchase a S&W SD9VE. The guy who owns it advised against it, I went and bought one anyway from a different retailer...Wish I wouldve taken his advice!..took a $150 hit having to get rid of the P.O.S. and get the G19, which is what he recommended. He might not be the most social guy in the area, but he will steer you straight, knows his product (well), and isnt worried to tell you if what you are seeking is not in his inventory. Hard to find any retailer these days that wont tell you whatever you want to hear just to make a sale. I give them 5/5.

I have always had good luck there, they are so easy to buy from. they get what ever I want and have good deals.

Went in here once, guy was a jerk and no help. Couldnt seem to peel his eyes of the computer long enough to help me out. Wouldnt buy anything there. It was just awkward.

I bought a suppressor from 417Guns the day after Thanksgiving 2015. Due to a screw up by the ATF they denied my application for the suppressor on December 9th. I found out when I received my refund for the application in mid-january. When I called the ATF to ask them what happened they explained to me that the dealer was notified in December that due to a lack of an approved form 3 my application was denied.At this point 417Guns knew of the issue for almost a month at least according to the ATF. I explained to the ATF the dealer had the suppressor in stock, and they said it must of been a mix up, the dealer needs to fax in the approved form 3.I went to 417Guns, and spoke to Brent, the owner, explained the situation. He claimed he was too busy to send the fax because he was going to leave for SHOT Show in a couple days, and I offered to buy a Glock 19 from him on the spot if he would take care of it that day. He called the ATF and confirmed he needed to send the form 3 via a fax. I took him at his word he would. I bought the gun.I spent the next month trying to get him to fax that form. I was told a different story on why he couldnt send it every week. I was super polite until the last week. Thats when I interrupted his next excuse and told him I will do it myself. So I faxed the form myself at the cost of $6 and the next day I was able to resubmit my application.I went to 417Guns because of his advertisements on the radio of how long he had been in business and expertise. We had mutual friends in common. They all recommended him to me. I had one person who didn’t. I should’ve listened to him.I tired my best to make it work with 417Guns and gave him every opportunity to earn my business. I can not recommend him to anyone, and I will not do business with them again. He caused an almost 2 month delay to my receiving of the suppressor.

Brent is very knowledgeable, and has a good inventory. He has helped me out with NFA items and forms, and will be my go-to guy from now on.

Gave these guys a couple chances, and they dropped the ball everytime. once they have your money, there is no customer support. Seems like they cater to there friends rather than random customers.. I have no problem with all the other shops. had such a bad experience, just figured id say something...

Awful customer service, I walked into the store with a gun in mind that i wanted to get. I didnt get a single Can I help you with anything. the guy was sitting behind the counter was to busy surfing the internet, about after a couple of minutes I finally asked him a few questions and his answers were less than informative. Maybe I came on a bad day but I will not be back and would not recommend this store to anyone.

Went in there one time with a friend looking for a gun. The help was very obnoxious and we left and, said we wouldnt return again.

Unless you are in the inner circle that hangs out up there all the time, then expect to be treated like dirt.

Has or can get about anything you would want.
