Fantastic store and excellent customer service. We purchased our new “Forever Bed” from Springfield Mattress last weekend. The gentleman employee was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. He gave us “room”/space to look around, test out options, but knew when to come join us for conversation and answer questions. He was great to offer best pricing on beds, listened to what our needs were and used those to help us find the best options at various budget levels. There was a specific bed frame we wanted and it was out of stock. He took the time and went the extra mile to reach out to other places until he found one for us. Definitely recommend Springfield Mattress! We didn’t realize what a gem we had right here in town and love the customer service as much as we love our new bed!

Have now purchased multiple mattresses from this store (king, twin and now a pair of full size). Older ones have lasted many, many years and are still extremely comfortable. Both the Owner Brian and the Store Manager Kevin are willing to negotiate on price and you just cant beat it. Since theyre made locally, the turnaround time on custom orders is less than a week. Great locally owned business!

I walked in to check on getting a custom mattress made for my motor home because a friend recommended this company. I was greeted immediately by Josh. He showed me the choices, and between him and Kevin, the manager, I did not feel the need to look elsewhere. Highly recommend.

I am quite pleased with my new mattress and foundation. Kevin was very helpful in finding the right product for me within the budget I had. I shop local first whenever I can and was happy to learn that the product I chose is also manufactured right here in MO. Double win!! We bought our matress in 2016 and just this year we were needing it to be firmed up and new padding. Went in to see Jeff and he went above and beyond to help us out. Had it up to the company before 9 and we got to take it back home by 2 the same day. Very happy! We would not buy from anyone else but Jeff! He has been our go to family mattress guy for our 2 kids as well.

When my fiancé and I got our first apartment, we really needed and wanted a mattress that was our own. Springfield Mattress is a scam. My wife and I purchases one of the higher end mattresses, I believe it was over $2,000. The salesman sold us on the comfort guarantee stating that we could get the firmness adjusted whenever we needed. His exact example was of his wife. He told us that she got pregnant and as she got further into the pregnancy became more uncomfortable. They took the mattress in and had it softened in one day. Then after giving birth, they brought it back in and had it firmed back up. We thought that was a great service and guarantee, so we purchased. Within two years the mattress had began to break down and become very uncomfortable. We called to inquire about the logistics of getting the mattress warrantied and were told that the comfort guarantee was only an option within the first 30 days. I told the person on the phone the example that the salesman gave us with his wife and asked how that would be possible in 30 days. Their response was that it is indeed possible to get pregnant, become uncomfortable, adjust mattress, give birth, and re-adjust mattress...all in 30 days. Lying crooks. Not only did they lie to sell me a mattress, but it did not last a full two years. Please don’t waste your hard earned money here. Good rest is so important and you don’t deserve to have that taken away by thieves.

Great experience. No pressure sales. Incredible locally made mattress in our price range. Family friendly - our kids were welcomed to jump on the beds while we shopped. Will definitely be back, although it might be a while with the quality of the mattress and generous warranty.

We went to this store on a suggestion from a friend (we already had a mattress picked out.) Once we arrived at the store the staff was extremely helpful and awesome. We tried many mattresses and fell in love with one of the Forever Beds it is amazing. We absolutely love the sleep we get on it, totally worth the price and worth it to go check out the place.

My wife and I went into Springfield mattress to look into getting a new bed and we were immediately greeted by Bill who was super friendly, he walked us through all the different options available to us, wasnt pushy or hurried at all, and overall made the entire experience stress free and fun trying out the different sizes and types of mattresses. Would definitely buy here again if we ever needed to!

Bought a firm queen pillowtop mattress set back in 2012 from them. Thinking I got a good quality set for the price. It was great for 2 years until the pillow top started wearing and tearing and the mattress was losing its firmness.Turned a claim in and after getting the run around trying to speak to the right person I was told the mattress is not covered. 2 year old mattress pretty sad now 5 years later i have to buy a new set, but not from Springfield mattress. Thought a good quality set should last a least 8 to 10 years.

Bill was the man that helped me. I haven’t slept a full night of sleep in over 10 years. I looked for beds for 4 months straight everyday after work and never found one that was in my budget and really wowed me. He sold me a bed for an insane good price that I could have never found lower and gave me insane warranties on it all. Please check this man out before any other bed store and I promise you won’t be disappointed. I also really enjoyed him not acting like a car sales man and making me do anything I didn’t want to do. He actually told me he would take a break for a bit and really think before I made my choice because he truly cared about what I was buying. Great man, great store!

My daughter is a Senior at Missouri State and is living off campus and needed a bed. We decided to start off here at Springfield Mattress first; we had no need to look further. Very knowledgeable of products, pricing was awesome and extremely friendly. We anticipated not being able to have the bed delivered until next week. Nope, they called one of their other stores to get the mattress and they delivered it an hour after we left the store. The products are all made in the USA and by supporting this business you are supporting families just like you and I. I always try to shop local businesses for this very reason. We wouldnt have gotten the amazing customer service from a chain mattress store like we got from Springfield Mattress. Our family will all be needing mattresses this year and I will make the trip to Springfield to purchase them!!! Do not waste your time anywhere else!!

I had been having consistent neck pain at 24 years old and knew that my pillow had to be the cause of my morning neck pain. I was afraid that I would not be able to purchase the pillow I needed to prevent any further neck pain. I came into Springfield Mattress and they understood my situation and helped me get the pillow that would help me get the best sleep I could.

Its hard to begin writing how amazing of an experience I had at this store. The staff was just incredible. They were personable, knowledgeable, and very kind. The bed I wanted was not in stock at their location, so they called up their other locations and found one that had the exact bed I wanted. I was expecting to get my bed delivered within the week, but one of the employees personally drove to the store and delivered it and helped set it up within the hour. You dont get that kind of service anywhere else! Not only were they going out of their way to help us, they gave us a great deal on my bed. I would never recommend anywhere else to buy a bed in the Springfield area--even my St. Louis-based family is driving out to Springfield Mattress to buy their beds here! If I could give more than five stars, I would in a heartbeat.

My husband went in on a whim this afternoon and called and told me I needed to come and look at the mattresses they have. (We didnt like our mattress at home but hadnt actually made a decision to shop for a new one). He has back problems, so he definitely needs something better.Jared is such a great wealth of knowledge and was very helpful but not pushy at all.We walked out of there with not one, but two new mattresses. Our 2-year-old was ready for a big girl bed, so we got her one too!Thank you so much for your wonderful customer service, and more importantly, for our new mattresses!

Spent a month or two researching adjustable beds and mattresses.Fairly quickly decided on Leggett & Platt adjustable bases because of reviews/ratings and they are made in the USA (and their corporate headquarters are located in Carthage, MO).Deciding on a mattress was definitely harder as the reviews/ratings for them are much more personal and subjective.Waded through lots of online forums/reviews/sites researching different types of mattresses and mattress brands.Also shopped several brick & mortar stores in Joplin and Springfield. Mostly okay experiences, a couple of not so good ones, but only one that impressed us enough to return a 2nd time and actually purchase.Reasons we went with Brent and Springfield Mattress:1. Brent was very helpful and patient in working with us - especially on the mattress choices/decision. He helped us narrow it down to a pocketed coil that was flippable, to 2 Twin XLs instead of a single king (2 Twin XLs = King), and to doing one side of the mattresses slightly softer than the other so that we had choices/flexibility. We were concerned that the split between the mattresses would be annoying but he felt based on past customer feedback that it wouldnt be an issue and he was correct as far as were concerned. We cant say its not noticeable at all but its really not an issue for us and the upside of having individual mattresses is the independent adjustability - makes the most of having adjustable bases.2. Leggett & Platt Prodigy 2.0 bases - they do not stock them but had no problem getting them and for less than online quotes we had gotten (dont pay suggested retail - Leggett & Platt requires dealers to not advertise below suggested retail but they can sell below it, you just have to call and get a direct quote).3. Make their own mattresses in Springfield and they have flippable ones - we went with a pocketed coil innerspring and got one side slightly softer than the other.4. Free comfort layer modification - request a modification, drop off in the morning and pick up later that day. Fortunately, at two months in, were completely satisified and therefore may never need to utilize this but good to have the option if need be.So best of luck if youre in the adjustable base and/or mattress market - its a substantial investment but we have no regrets and would do it again.
