Better service than I’ve had at any other gun store in the valley! I was very impressed by the one-on-one service, knowledgeable staff, and staff going out of their way to help me find exactly what I wanted within my budget… I will recommend this place to everyone I know!

The store is super cheep and affordable. Employees are really nice and cooperative. The store is very organized and tons of room. Lots of verity of guns, ammo, reloading, custom signs and targets. Love this place and will be doing business alot there. I rate this store Five stars.

Seem to have a semi good selection of supplies and definitely one on one service, but only for the one guy he wanted to help. Totally ignored us when we walked in and the couple of times he walked by us, had to stop him after 5 minutes to ask a question. Definitely didnt want to support his business by then.

Walked in, one guy behind the counter, hes on the phone the whole time. I find some powder I want to buy, but would like to ask some questions about optics. After awhile I realize Im not very important so I put the powder on the shelf and walk out.These guys have a store room full of cheap Chinese parts that would maybe be ok for the air soft crowd. Id recommend not wasting your time stopping in.

I went to Discount Guns and Ammo just before close on Black Friday. They helped me track down the ammo I needed for my shoot. Since they go out of their way to help you, you can have confidence going out of your way to visit them. Thanks guys.

Everyone there was super friendly but holy cow!!! Are they price gouging! I paid $60 for 100 rounds of 9mm while I paid less than half that at Cabela’s the other day.

Seemed decent enough. They opened up 10 minutes late though. Other customers said this was normal and every day is different.

Ive only used them as an FFL for receiving shipments, but busy as they have been, they still treated me fair & square. Ive noticed all sorts of people there from old guys like me to families, kids, women etc. Must be doing something right, whiners notwithstanding! Lol!

I went in about three weeks ago as a first-time gun buyer. There were to men working and they were both helping other people, so I waited and looked around the store. I started looking in the display cases a little bit and noticed they had a very meager selection of firearms. Finally, one of them asked “need somethin’?” I asked a few questions about available guns (I was looking for the P365, which they didn’t have), any suggestions, only got one or two word answers, by and large felt more like a nuisance to them than a customer, and left the store without purchasing anything and with no intentions of ever returning. Really disappointed. Customer service isn’t there.

I used to love this place. Fair deals, good employees, and like minded people. But now, not so much. They have an employee there named Brandon Hawkins. He likes to belittle (and blame the state of things) on peoples political choices. He has repeatedly gone on long winded rants against anyone that voted for a certain (conservative) senator, and has personally insulted people that voted for this guy.I have spent thousands of dollars at this store. But no longer. I refuse to support a place that allows such a high level of intolerance and aggressive behavior.

Extremely dishonest, they are doubling the price on their firearms screwing over their customers. Do not buy from these clowns. 1300 for a stock glock 19? Dont bother with this place they deserve to be one of the businesses going under.

Ordered a gun from this place online through Davidsons Gun Genie. It was a very smooth experience. This was my first interaction with Discount Guns & Ammo, and they were helpful and friendly and handled everything quickly and efficiently. On top of that they also gave me a free 30 day pass to their gun range.Ive since returned twice to take advantage of the range, and it is comfortable, well lit and the clerks have been curtious and helpful. This place has been a great discovery, and Im planning to go there again tonight!

I love this place. They dont always have the lowest price youll ever find (though I have bought 2 guns here at AMAZING prices), but their customer service is phenomenal. Ive seen several reviews noting how readily the staff will just chat with you, every time I go here for something I stay for 45 minutes or an hour just hanging out. I have to say, Spencer Wing, I dont blame them for being honest with you about your purchase, They werent making fun of you, they were just telling the truth. I have suggested many people to this store for different things, and will continue to do so.

The guy behind the counter was super helpful and patient with us. (We barely know anything about guns) I felt like he did a great job teaching us proper gun safety. The range was really fun! Hope to go again soon!

Loved the range; hang your targets on a mechanized mount that can be moved up and down range with the turn of a switch. You can choose the distance. Ear protection is provided and eye protection can be purchased for 2 dollars. Ammo isnt too expensive but I would recommend purchasing it online in bulk before your visit.

I remember this place a few years ago - had a few snotty teens working there who didnt seem to know much. IT IS A DIFFERENT STORE NOW. Excellent customer service. Guys there are very helpful and knowledgeable. Range is cool but usually very busy. Owner has made some massive improvements there with staff and it shows. Nice Work!!

Its a great place to learn about guns and shoot and have fun. The only issue is when its busy they dont do to well to acknowledge those who are waiting. I wasnt sure where to go when I went in the 2nd time to shoot since they were a bit busy. But when they were free they made it pretty painless. Its a pretty good price to shoot with some friends especially if you have your own gun

Went here with my father who cane into town for spring break. Prices were pretty fair..the ammo price sucked but its a shortage so its understandable. Great teachers after we finished. Ive shot guns 4 times before that and my father is retired army vet so he can definitely shoot a M16. It read his first time shooting a handgun.

These guys deserve 5 stars. One thing I cant stand about a gun store is when you dont know much about a firearm that you might be interested in and the guy behind the counter makes you feel like you know even less. These guys are very understanding to everyone that comes through the door whether you know more than they do (unlikely) or it is your first gun purchase. I can even attest to their gunsmith abilities as I recently had a gun worked on there that wouldnt function properly, they were reasonable and got the job done right.

Haha I love how this place calls themselves discount! There store is Salt Lake is more expensive than anywhere else. I was super excited to see another gun store pop up and I went a few times and never bought a single thing because of their prices. Its fine to charge what you want, but dont call your business discount if you are going to charge more than every other store.

I recently brought my husband to their shooting range here for a birthday surprise. I was very worried because I had never shot a gun before, and I have had a lot of experience in specialty shops where they look down on you for being there, like you dont belong. This was not the case here. The employees were very kind and knowledgeable, and very patient with all my questions. They taught us everything we needed to know to be able to have fun and feel comfortable. We had a blast! We will definitely be going back.

Home Environment. First thing I noticed when I walked in Guns & Ammo for the first time is there are not a lot of workers that work there. But the few people that work there are hardworking and love to help. Second I walked in the door I was greeted and helped by the next available employee.I ordered some gear from them and I got it when they told me I would get it. Except for my boots, but they threw in a little something extra for the wait.In all, I will be bringing my business back to these guys when I need future gear.Thanks Guns & Ammo!

Called on the phone to look up a price for an item. I had previously called the Salt Lake location and the man who spoke with me was pretty rude. This one, however was great. The guy spent a few minutes looking up the items and was very helpful and polite.

Four stars. Would be five but after coming to the store five or six times for various items one of the employees was kind of rude. Decided to give it another shot later that month and the same guy was cool. I dont know if the guy was having a bad day or what, but the staff is helpful even if not always pleasant.

I dropped my gun off to be repaired about 4 months before my hunt. Its about a month into my hunt and I am still waiting for my gun. I call often and only one guy knows about my gun and he keeps telling me he will call or text me back and never does. Customer service is the worst. Some of them seem like nice people but there is more to service than being nice. Some of the staff on the phone are belittling and rude. I will not take my guns here ever again. Still waiting for my gun!

I had a great experience with these guys and plan to return again and again with any of my gun purchases. They were super informative about every gun and instead of just wanting to sell me the most expensive gun they took the time to find out what I wanted/needed. The owners were both super cool and you just cant beat their pricing combined with best customer service.

Went in to check out their selection of AR-15s. Standing at the counter for around ten minutes or so, while the only guy working was so involved in his conversation with someone who had already paid for his 1 box of ammo, if he wouldve asked, hey man. Do you need anything? On my way in, instead of on my way out. He would have made a sale today.

This store is great. I went in a few days ago and they were SUPER busy. They had about 5 employees working (usually there are only 2) and they were running around trying to help everyone. Even though they were busy, one of the employees helped me for nearly 30 minutes and did not rush me or even get distracted. I ended up buying 2 guns from them because of their great customer service. The range is cheap, and they are usually willing to give you free range time with gun purchases. The staff is very knowledgeable and they are always willing to help. I am just a normal guy with very little gun experience and often feel intimidated in some gun stores because the employees are usually very snobby and know-it-alls. Not at discount guns and ammo- they are all very helpful and willing to help/answer questions. I will only shop at discount guns and ammo!

Knowledgeable staff, have been there several times. They actually opened the door after they were closed just to sell me some .22 mag bullets. Yes, that was the awesome owner too!

Some of the prices are good, others are not. some of the staff are super nice and friendly. some of the other staff are real dorks. Luck of the draw. Recently they have been really good.

Bought some trijicon night sights from this company for my Glock 17 and had to have them put on like 3 different times because they kept coming lose when I would go shooting. Took it to a different shop closer to my home and they fixed it in a jiff. Its been a year now and still havent had a problem. I honestly think it was their lock tight and just not tightening the sights enough. Good product, just poor installation.

Best costumer service had some problems with a gun a got there not there fault at all. They made sure the problem was fixed and I was completely Happy with my purchase before I left

This place is not good on there word. I found a gun on there online store i went in and they said oh no way thats the price and blamed it on there distributor. They gave me a little discount and when asked when to be delivered they said in a week but when I called to see if it was there I got some BS on how shipping works. A guy offered a pack of ammo for the delay, but when I finally picked gun up they changed there mind and said no. They seem to have knowledge but customer service is really lacking.

I just purchased a handgun and they were extremely helpful and knowledgeable on the different handguns I was interested in. I will be a returning customer and will recommend them.

I have always been satisfied when I have visited this place. They have really reasonable rental prices, and the staff has always been super helpful. The range is a bit cramped, but I still prefer them to Rangemasters (even though I had a good experience at Rangemasters).

One star because there is no option for zero stars. I have given this particular shop lots of business in ammo and gun purchases, but I will never go back to this shop EVER again. Their service is never prompt, I wait to talk with someone EVERY time I go in and I waited 3 MONTHS for a gun repair, that they never did! I ended up just taking the gun back without being it repaired and they it seemed like they never even touched my gun the entire 3 MONTHS! Go to Gunnies, ReadyGunner or Get Some Guns and Ammo in Orem, much better service and the ranges are infinitely better than theirs.

I was a customer until last night. I have purchased 1 firearms from them and had two sent from Gallery of Guns. I thought nothing of it when I picked my rifles and they charged me the background check fee. I was just shown last night by my buddy that they charge that when you order it. It is under Additional fees which it states include all applicable state/local background check fees I admit I did not see that so when they told me at the time it was not included I paid. They did that so they could double dip!!! Very sneaky and they got away with it. But my business is going somewhere else.

I was here 04/24/17, ive been to ranges in almost 10 states in USA so far, this is the first range i wanted to give 5 star rating, as the business name says discount they really are way cheaper than other ranges ive been to.i shot around 6 handguns and around 3 50 round 9mms and 2 boxes of 45 ACP, in which 1911, Glocks were outstanding, cant go really bad with Sigs too! But all i had to say is i spent 65$ for all of it for so much fun! I definitely recommend this place to all, personally i am from Illinois went for vacation to Utah and found this place, Kevin is the guy over the counter who was very nice in helping out. Dont bother the older reviews, initially i was having biased feeling about the store but not anymore.!

They have tried to screw me too many times. Too many low quality products. Sell faulty ammo. Products arent cheaper either. Awful service. Wont return items. I will never go back.

They are very dishonest, the gun I wanted they had to order. It took them almost 2 months to get it in, and when they did, it was the wrong one. The owner Norbin tried to sell me the gun anyways and seemed to be annoyed that I wanted the gun I had purchased. They just have a history with me of trying to exploit peoples lack of knowledge. If I were you I would steer clear of Discount Guns & Ammo.

Friendly service, great selection of products!

I came here with a friend as I was researching handguns in pursuit of getting a Conceal Handgun License. I was pretty centered on getting a Glock 29, a 10mm compact. Upon asking one of the gentlemen at the counter about it he was surprised, claiming that 10mm is no competitor to a .40 s&w or .45 ACP. I shrugged this aside and asked if they had one. Though they did not, he had a Glock 30, .45 ACP, with similar dimensions that I could look at. I knew the price it normally went for and asked what it cost. Well, it was $30 above street price. That was fine, right? Well, he informed me that they recently dropped prices back in January by $20 or so. I checked the tag, $599 was crossed out and $619 took its place. Some price drop.My friend who accompanied me inquired if they had any compact .45s, such as the Kimber Ultra-Carry II. The same guy laughed and said theres no such thing as a compact .45. He pointed out full-sized M1911s, right next to the compacts.I have no respect for this place and the prices.

Didnt have the best experience here. A while back I ordered a Laminated stock Mosin-Nagant 91/30 from a website and had these guys do the transfer. Going in to pick up the Mosin was my first time checking out their store. My first impressions were acceptable, until we started the transfer process. Once we opened up the Mosin box, the guys behind the counter didnt make me feel all that great about my purchase decision. They insulted my rifle by saying things like, Well the Mosin we have over there is in *way* better condition and its cheaper!, and Man, you could have saved so much money if youd just bought one in person.. Though, their Mosins didnt have the Laminated stock, which was the whole reason I ordered online in the first place. I felt very belittled at the time. I have to say that I dont look like your average gun nut, as Im a pretty small guy and in fact can be pretty nerdy at times. But even so, Im a potential paying customer all the same. I walked out of the store feeling bad about my purchase and not wanting to return for any reason. They need to work on making customers of all kinds feel more welcome there as well as having a more warm and happy atmosphere. I give it 2 stars because at the time, they had a pretty great stock of all kinds of awesome gun related things and a shooting range which I wont be using. The customer is always right, except at this business, where it appeared to be acceptable to let their resentful attitude make customers feel bad because they didnt buy from their inventory. Ill give them another chance if I absolutely cant find something Im looking for at another local shop. I definitely wouldnt recommend doing a transfer here.

Their prices are good on most guns and the ammo they stock, the range is a descent value, but take anything the employees say with a grain of salt.I live in Provo, and they could order the Kahr PM9094 for a good price, so I decided to buy it from them. I paid in full and they ordered it. Three days later when I came in to pick it up I found out it hadnt actually been ordered. I got the gun 3 business days later. This isnt a huge issue because it could have happened anywhere.What slightly annoys me about Discount Guns and Ammo is something different. I was told by an employee that the price of ammo from their distributor had gone up, and that when they were out of what they had on the floor, that the price was going up $10 per case. The employee said a week, maybe two before the price hike. I heard this from another employee about a week before. However, when the ammo is still the same price 3 months later it tells me that I cannot trust the employees. I also heard an employee tell another customer not long ago that they are selling the boxes of 9mm ammo (500 rounds 115gr Remington UMC) at their cost. Anyone that uses a line like at this price were not making a profit or this is my cost is clearly is not being honest, especially when other stores have it for the same price. Another reviewer suggested that the review starting with WOW GREAT STORE ... was written by an owner of the store. I have no doubt it was. The use of capitalization and exclamation marks is totally consistent with their ads on KSL. I think they are a solid 3 star store, but this is the reason for the 2 star rating.The range is good. They have self healing polymer targets along the rear wall at about 25yds, which is a nice touch. The target retrieval system is not as sophisticated as the one at Rangemasters just down the road, but they are also less expensive.The bottom line is that the employees are friendly, and will talk to you about their preferences, but I get the distinct impression that sometimes their advice is a direct result of what turns a profit. Their range is worth using. Their prices are good. Take a look if you’re in the market for a gun or ammo, they may have the best price, but know what prices are elsewhere before buying anything. I still shop there, but I always compare prices before buying anything; a safe practice no matter what Im shopping for.
