They replaced my old lenses in less than 15 minutes! This is the fourth time Ive used Modern Optical. They do a fabulous job and are very friendly. You can purchase frames, or bring your own. They are less expensive then using insurance. I highly recommend!!

AWESOME family business. Rhonney had new prescription lenses put in my frames in less than an hour! They were extremely friendly and offer exceptional service at an amazing price. I highly recommend stopping by!

My son who is currently in the military is leaving Monday morning and needed a new pair of glasses. We went in on Saturday afternoon 2 days before he had to leave and the owner went out of his way to make sure my son left for mission with glasses. Even though the business is normally closed on Sundays we were able to come in that next day to pick up the glasses.

I travel and when I was in Houston, one of the screw came out of my eye glasses. Stopped by Modern Optical and Randy replace the screw for free, even though my glasses were from another glasses store. I asked if they were able to put prescription lenses in a pair of Harley Davidson sunglasses I bought in FL. I brought them by the store and they said they were able to do this. 5 store in FL turned me down. They put the new lenses in to the frames in less than 24 hours and they did an awesome job. I highly recommend Modern Optical for all your glasses. A co-worker of mine bought a pair prescription eyeglasses also. They were ready within 2 hours.

Had to get my glasses prescription updated so I took it to Modern Optical on Saturday. got a call Monday that theyre ready to be picked up! They carry all sorts of brands of frames and they had my favorite brand, Silhouette! I got them a when two days early. Before this time, theyve fixed my old Silhouette frames twice. The prices are very reasonable. I definitely recommend them!

Where has this place been all my life?! Modern Optical is a wholesaler, meaning they have lenses in stock, and cut them them in house to fit in frames. For people like me, who need a 12+ high index lens and want it very thin at 1.74 (which is not found at most retailers), it merely takes a day to get the lens and have it put in the frame! For most lenses, like my daughters poly-carbonate lenses, it takes merely an hour. Oh, and they are a fraction of the price. My high index lenses and frames usually cost nearly $400. I got a pair for $195 (frames and 1.74 high index lenses)! My daughters lenses were $95 and at every other place I called they were at least $160! So far I have been very pleased with the quality. I will update this post if I find anything to the contrary in the future, but both my daughter and I have been pleased thus far. This is a father-son business. The father is a certified optician (not sure about the son). He is VERY good at both helping you select frames that will be best for your prescription and your face, and he is excellent at adjusting them. I am VERY picky and I am happy. They have a nice stock of frames, excellent prices, and expert adjusting. Give them a try. I will be going back for sure as currently my daughters prescription changes every 6 months. Luckily they are saving us some money.

New lenses in less that a hour!I had a great experiences with this family owned business. They were easy to communicate with, and quick to get my lenses made in under one hour. They also have a wide variety of frames in store.

I found this place by accident but thank god I found it! I was on my way to work when my glasses broke. I saw Modern Optical on the way and decided to stop there ask about their one hour service. The sales person who turned out to be the owner, was really nice. He promised me my glasses would be ready in an hour. As I was waiting, he informed me that his business is family owned and his dad and brother work there too. It definitely had family friendly feel to it. After waiting 45 minutes, my glasses were ready and he gave me a very good deal! After I got home, I checked the price of the frames online and I was charged $50 cheaper at Modern Optical. I will definitely come back for all my optical needs!

Purchased a frame here with my insurance and was advised I has warranty on it. Only for it to break the first time and the son of the owner stated it was covered and they didn’t insure their frames: purchased another frame just for that to be broken again and being told had to purchase another one again. Very shady business practice - would recommend you go elsewhere for quality frames.
