Good selection of Asian grocery ingredients. Chinese selection mostly but a lot of good ingredients used in Korean cooking too.
I took my daughter here to get some Neoguri ramen, squid jerky and candy. The prices are good and the shop is nice and clean. I was surprised at how much stuff they had in the shop.
Clean and stocked with nice food!No card payment below $5!
After living in Seattle for close to 15-years, I missed being able to shop at a Asian grocery. The store is actually bigger than most in Seattle, but they have everything that I have been missing! The store is very well organized, and they have a very wide selection. Its incredibly clean, and most people have been wearing masks and wiping things down long before Covid. I am so happy that this store is here. The employees are always helpful and check-out is always very fast. Even if you feel you are standing in a long line, it always moves quickly. The cashiers are also very kind and helpful. Highly recommended.
I am not from this state, but was visiting some friends. We have a lot of really good asian markets where we live and this tiny little market has a surprisingly good selection.
Great place in State College to buy that hard to find Asian ingredient that youve been looking for. The frozen dumplings are a must try! Keep on mind that theres a $5 minimum purchase with your credit card.
The people here are very nice and incredibly helpful. Good prices, too!
I really like the layout and how they stock everything you could need to cook any Asian inspired recipes or dish you’d like. When I was in there shopping last week, all of the employees were busy working and ALL wore masks and the cashiers wore gloves. The staff were very friendly and helpful with the many questions that I had asked. Very very clean and I think a overall nicer store than the other place. *Downside is that the building shares the parking lot with a law firm which has a lot of reserved parking spaces for their place of business.*
If youve never been, and dont read a lick of eastern language, it can be a little overwhelming at first.Whats good, though, is that everything is organized into sections well enough that if you have specific things you are looking for, you can find them after a short search.Of course most of the items have tags on the shelf in english as well as in japanese/chinese (very unfamiliar with the difference myself), so that helps. It is very worthwhile going, because they have many of the specialty items that you cant really find anywhere else, such as specific spices/sauces/veggies and whathaveyou.I love shopping this place, and many of their items are quite a bargain when it comes to the price! Their potstickers are great, and i highly recommending the steamed buns with either custard or red bean paste! Delicious!
Closed Im assuming until further notice. Hours sign says closed sunday and open 11am-9pm mon-sat
Well organized and a great greens selections! Great place to get hotpot meats, tofu and snacks. Bring cash and get a 5% discount!
Good selection, helpful staff. I especially like their produce refrigerator. If I cant find something at one of the closer Asian markets, I know Ill be able to find it here.
Great prices, selection, and helpful staff.
My one stop store for Asian grocery and seasonings.
I loved the variety and cleay marked items.
Best asian market Ive ever visited and well spoken staff to boot.
Fantastic Asian style market in State College. Modest in size yet absolutely packed with an amazing amount of ingredients, seasonings, spices, sauces and frozen prepared foods and other difficult to find items outside of a major city. Everything you ever need to make an authentic Asian meal. Prices are very reasonable and goods are high quality. They offer a 5% discount with cash purchase too. Highly recommended.
Small selection, but fair prices and friendly staff.
Small store with a wide variety of asian products. Definitely worth checking out.
Nice selection of goods that you cant normally find at other grocery stores in the area. However, staff was rude when I asked if they sold a particular item that they did not have.
We thought it was kind of silly to open an Asian grocery a block down the road from Far Corners. But little did we know that Corners was about to move far away. This is a nice mom and pop business. They have a little of everything and a lot of some things. One thing missing: Live fish, which they had in the beginning. Great prices on vegetables. Neat, clean. Staff knows the stock well and can answer questions. Good parking.
Best one in State College.
Best Asian groceries in State College
Pretty small and not many items. Does have some nice things though. Some of their more fresh products names/descriptions are written in Chinese and that can make it hard to shop for the things you want.
Cant expect much but it has everything that I ever needed. Good selection of frozen items and sauces. The prices are higher than what Im used to but its still affordable. Always fresh vegetables available
I love this place. Staff is always very friendly and I can definitely get everything I want when I’m craving for Chinese food.
Great place! They have authentic Chinese and Asian products! The store is nice and clean, not very big but has everything you need. Love it!!!
Decent selection of Chinese products - fresh, frozen, dried, canned, and in jars. Not much southeast Asian products, but the prices are the best on hotpot bases and sauces. If you go the back way around the golf course the traffic is not too bad. Atherton Street is still a hot mess - avoid it like the plague!
One of the best place to get groceries. They have a good produce section, and have all that you need from fresh ingredients to ramen, to candy and snacks, to dumplings and bao, cookware, dinnerware, medicinals, Tea, condiments, spices. The staff are very nice and willing to help customers. They even have a by weight/piece bar for your next hot pot!
Great prices, large selection. A little crowded, but very friendly staff.
You can get green chilli here (not the jalapeno). They also sell fresh vegetables, some frozen ones. Fish balls, frozen fish, and many other chinese items. They also sell indian spices. They have some delicious cakes. The only issue is the name tag of some of the items are in chinese. So it becomes difficult to understand what it is. In that case, you can ask the cashier for help. They also give 5% discount if you are paying cash and you can only use credit card if the amount is more than 5 dollar. For improvement, a better organization, lighting and English name tags would be preferable.
Store had a nice selection, including large tapioca pearls which I hadnt noticed in other markets.
Went to buy mooncakes, and was shocked to discover that they dont sell mooncakes. What kind of Asian market doesnt sell mooncakes?Far Corners Asian Market offers a large variety of mooncakes that are still available today.
Unsanitary and lack of selection. Prices are above average as well. Go if desperate.
Lots of variety - closed on Tuesdays - fresh deliveries from New York on Thursdays - relied upon by many Chinese in State College
The best you can get in all of North Central Pennsylvania. They have most of the standard Asian goods, but not a lot of fresh rare fruits like green mangos or durian (but I know durian and sour mango never win popularity contest.)
My wife is Thai and loves to shop here every chance we get. The store seems to have a very large selection and the prices seem fair.
Will definetly coming back here,,alot of stuff and fresh vegetables better than other place
Fair price and good quality. Always fixes my nostalgia. My only wish is that they could have more varieties.
Staff are helpful and more friendly than far corners. Good selection. Much less likely to find expired stuff on shelves compared to far corners.
Good place to find all your asian goods (food & snacks). The price is reasonable. Easy transportation too! (N/W bus)
Nice variety and reasonable prices of food stuffs. Close to a bus stop.
Koreans Chinese can enjoy their home food. Japanese? I dont think so
Good place to find some Asian vegetables and sauces. Paying with cash will give you 10% off
Nice store, u can get all the utilities here.
Recommended by folks at Pho 11 nearby. Small grocery with unique hot pot mixes for $/lb. It appears a little pricier than larger supermarkets in Philly. Looks popular with local students.
Great placeFast check out
Lots of goods for Shanghaiese😆 the staff are very nice and helpful. They can help to locate any product you want in store~
They pre-package the vegetables and make it hard for customers to see whats inside the package. Sometimes the vegetables are fresh but yesterday I bought a bag of Chinese broccoli. The ones that are closer to the outside look kinda ok but the ones inside the very core of the bag are yellowish, as in the picture. Wide variety of snacks and condiments, though.
Iz God, drink lychee FRuut, gulp gulp gulp,...... Aaaaahhhh delicious, yes, healthy and gerd
Very good selection of Chinese and to a lesser extent, other Asian ingredients. Good quality produce, and live fish that theyll clean for you. Tea selection is weak, sadly.
Several choices for Asian groceries in state college, we have a huge community of students and faculty who know quality when they see it. Great range of products, canned, dried and fresh
Great selection of fresh and packaged Asian ingredients. Limited free parking.
This is where Chinese people shop in State College, so a huge variety of imported Chinese products(best in town) with a smattering of stuff from other places.
I am so happy this place is here. My stir fries are now complete. For years I sort of got by between Amazon and Wegmans, but now I can just get all my ingredients at the same place. Shaoxing, dried chillis, schezuan peppercorns, wood ear, douban jiang, douchi, dark soy sauces... The produce section is small but always fresh, and you cant really find gai lan or ramps/sprouts/bok choi like these at other grocers. I dont really know how this place compares in price, but I usually get a pretty good supply of food for about $20. The garlic is very fresh here too, no need to degerm it when preparing!Special bonus points are given due to the range of shocked and bemused expressions I receive from the chinese and korean customers as a white guy shopping here.
Place is full of stuff. When to find pho noodles, ended up with six different noodles. Price is good.
Lots of options and unique asiatic options, most things have English descriptions
Good, but was looking for more Japanese merchandise.
Great selection of items, some fresh, some frozen/refrigerated, lots of Asian pantry staples
The best Asian market in town, the selection varies however.
Best place in State College to buy Asian groceries! Discount if you pay cash...
They had a lot of interesting food items in the store.
I liked it especially a lived fish there is no elsewhere can find in state college
Great store to get Asian products for cooking.
A lot of Asian stuff. Jelly snacks are the best!
They have international stuff at a fair price here.
Choice of russian, polish foods, sausages, fresh baked good and whole grain breads
Convenient and has everything you need for the perfect Chinese cuisine
They have the best rice and unique vegetables.
They didnt have what I wanted. But they did have a good selection of stuff.
Large variety of products but the staff seems quite tough to me
Decent selection, not very friendly
Like this store. You can always find peculiar products there and every day you can try something new
Not huge, but good sized and had the food items I was looking for. Will be back.
Great selection, lots of Asian drinks and snacks
Unfortunately, there is no indian or Bangladeshi food there.
Quite a selection of goods just a little confusing on how to get into the parking lot.
Surprisingly large selection. Wish they had more Filipino food options.
It has a lot of choices for asian seasoning
Great hot sauces here.
Good food
Great selection!
It was a small super market for Asian people where people can buy Asian food.
You can buy all you need here, but not vegetables
You can buy all kinds of Chinese food here.
A good selection of Asian goods
Great selection of Japanese stock
Good
Not the biggest, but an ok Asian market.
You can most of Asian things here.
Great selection
It was fine
Super expensive for no reason
Small but enough for a little town
Vegetables are fresh
Variety of things
Eh could be better
Variety of Asian food and ingredients.
