I love coming here whenever Im in town and out of supplies needed to make so authentic Asian food. The prices are great. I love their fresh produce section, the items keep in my fridge for weeks. They have a great variety of a lot of different cultural foods and supplies. It is organized very well.

Positive - got majority of the Chinese/Asian produced/packaged stuff and varieties of veggies you can think of in this store.Cons - (1) not many brands to choose from, (2) no fresh meat or seafood options, (3) the place is a little bit ran down, requires some maintenance and repair outside and ceiling.

It might look small from the outside, but you can find great selection and wide variety of Asian stuffs with cheap price. They could be dry, fresh, or frozen things. However, for dry stuffs, watch out for the expiration date.Im obsessed with the steamed bun section here since therere so many choices. My only concern here is the price tag were in Chinese which make it very difficult to navigate the cost.

Wow, this store service is impressive. heard of lots of complaints from my friends, but this is the time I really experienced. I just found the boss was arguing with a lady because the store wrongly labeled the prices. The boss said you dont need to buy here if you dont want... aha! what a great store and great service...

A good place to find Asian ingredients. I took 2 stars off because the owner/ cashier was not honest and the store itself now has poor hygiene.I always got 5% off for paying cash (automatically), but my husband did not. We only recognized it until I checked the bill. I came to ask on the other day, and the owner/cashier answered with an attitude that he must ask to get the discount.

Fantastic Asian market. The largest selection between Pittsburgh and DC for Asian food, ingredients and specially items. Incredible selection of seasonings, rice, noodles, teas, spices and more. Also a nice selection of snacks. All available frozen, fresh and packaged. Everything all at very affordable price points. Friendly staff too. Plenty of off street parking. Located near downtown State College. Highly recommended.

This is a great Asian grocery with a good selection of products. They have an excellent variety of rice, noodles, and Chinese tea. Their fresh products are slightly higher in price than the other shops in town, but the quality and selection is much better. The freezer section is quite large as well. They have a bathroom open to the public too.

Great Asian market with good variety. If you enjoy more authentic Asian food than you can find at the grocery store then this is a perfect place to shop. Some items only have Asian writing on them but most items do have some English for people who dont know any Asian languages.

Worst shopping experience ever! Rudest cashier Ive ever seen in the US. Be careful for the price on your receipt, some items have wrong price tags. You may pay more than you think. When I told the cashier the prices on the receipt are higher than the price tag, she just said Oh, we increased the price this week, havent got a time to change it. and her face told me Whatever, I dont care. She doesnt feel sorry about that at all.

It is 2020 and who still handwrites the price tags of all the merchandises and lots of them are missing? It is hard not to believe that it is a method to disguise the overpricing of lots of goods. I would not trust such a merchant choosing to do business in such a way and will opt to other markets in future.

One of the best place to get groceries. They have a good produce section, and have all that you need from fresh ingredients to ramen, to candy and snacks, to dumplings and bao, cookware, dinnerware, medicinals, condiments, spices. The staff are very nice and willing to help customers. Fair warning: the building needs maintenance and their roof leaks so on rainy days there are a few buckets around.

Good selection of Eastern Asian foods, spices, etc. I went looking for some Indian spices but couldnt find what I was looking for. Reasonable prices. Not all labels have English on them, so you cant always tell what youre looking at unless you have a friend who can read Chinese or Japanese with you.

I know when my gut is telling me that Im not welcomed somewhere. I walked in here with my boyfriend to buy some Daikon and needless to say, the vibe that the Asian cashier woman was giving me was so off putting that I didnt even want to spend another second there. Call me crazy, but I compared the way that she interacted with the other Asian guests and she seemed very friendly, and said hello, and made eye contact, but she couldnt even look at me or say hello when she rang me up and she had this scowl on her face the entire time. The situation was very uncomfortable for my bf and I. Im very aware of how dark skinned or people of African descent are viewed in the Asian community, so its a shame that there are people who still have prejudiced mindsets like this. Will not be returning.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this location. They have a variety of groceries from diffetent asian food cultured as well as friendly staff. I am not from the area and Im used to very large urban Asian groceries so the prepared food that sits by the cash registers would not have been my first choice. This being said I was a very pleasantly surprise by its quality and authenticity. I cannot rate this grocery highly enough for the State College area.

Go to East Asian Market on Atherton. Their service and food preservation are way better than Far Corner. Watch out for the items you actually get and those they put into the register. We have encountered countless times that extra green onions or extra instant noodle that showed up on the receipts we didnt actually buy. I believe it has nothing to do with not paying attention. It is dishonest. Besides that, we also had diarrhea because of their expired buns. We went back and asked for a refund and their first instincts are to question whether those buns are from their shop, even we brought the receipt with us! Guys, avoid this place otherwise you will be pissed just like us.

Went to Far Corners for Korean instant ramen and was pleasantly surprised. They offer Chinese, Japanese, Korean etc. instant ramen which is actually organized by country on the shelves as well as snacks (Pocky, Pretz, Cream Collon, Crisp Choco, Lotte Pandas, various chips and cookies etc.), drinks (Ramune, Calpico, various teas etc.) and cooking ingredients (glutinous rice flour, red pepper paste, nori sheets, rice, noodles, sauces, furikake etc.). They also have a frozen food section and fresh produce both of which I didnt really look at so I cant really say anything about those. Will check them out next time. I ended up buying 2x Chacharoni, 1x Samyang Spicy Chicken, 2x Umami Tonkotsu ramen and 1x Nongshim Kimchi ramen plus a few snacks for my son for about $12. The ramen was between $1.25 and $2 (big bowl kind) per piece. Oh they also sell bowls and other miscellaneous household items/small appliances there. I will go back in a few weeks to stock up!~
