Dont shop here if you want your mattress delivered on the actual day you want. Shopping for the mattress was great and simple and we found what we wanted. Getting it delivered was a different story. 3 times we told the sale associate to schedule a delivery date for when we would be home (due to summer travels) and 3 times (over 2 months) the delivery people tried to deliver it on a different date when we were not home, even giving our mattress away to someone else at one point. There was horrible communication between the store and the Pittsburgh distribution center and the sale associates kept blaming each whenever we went in to ask about it. Please fix you communication issues b/c I would never shop here again with the other options in town.

Houston was a great consultant and sleep expert. He was quite personable, very attentive, and patient with me during my search and order process. Mattress Firm eased this purchasing process, whereas other vendors attempted to hassle me into a purchase. I highly recommend visiting Mattress Firm for the accommodations of your sleeping need.

The initial experience was positive and I will say that the front desk personnel have always been pleasant and professional. However, unfortunately there have been multiple issues where I had to call the store to ensure my items were being delivered and shipped off on the correct date. The date was pushed back three times and I ended up waiting a month after the original delivery date.

We went to Mattress Firm State College to check out the mattress that we need. We were met by Craig Scott, very personable salesperson. He showed us different mattresses yet Craig did not force us to get it right away. He showed his respect by allowing us to make our decision and come back if we need his help. We checked other mattress from different stores yet we came back because he gave his personalized service and also the price at Mattress Firm State College is reasonable.

Were impressed by the excellent service received from Craig in helping us to remotely purchase a mattress for our sons new apartment near University Park. We had observed online that the mattress wed hoped to purchase was not available for delivery by move-in date, but Craig identified a quality mattress at an even better price that could be delivered to our sons new address on the exact date needed. Craigs expertise and sincere desire to provide an optimal solution in the best interest of the customer is apparent and is greatly appreciated.

My husband and I made two separate visits to Mattress Firm in State College before making our purchase of the Purple 4 Hybrid mattress and the 600 Wireless adjustable base. The salesmen Craig and Cody were very helpful and informative. The store was clean. The purchase was simple and delivery was scheduled for one week later though we could’ve scheduled as early as two days later if our schedules were freed up to do so.Once delivery was scheduled, we were notified the day before delivery of approximate time frame of 2 hours. The delivery man called when they were 30 minutes out to let us know when they would arrive. They moved very quickly and were very efficient. They had base and mattress set up and the old mattress and box spring removed in only 15 minutes. Both men were very friendly and respectful. They removed their shoes before entering the house.Our experience was a positive one and we look forward to many comfortable nights ahead on our new Purple 4

Not much in stock. Sales people are friendly but dont seem to listen well. Went it and told the rep exactly what I wanted which was $1100. Next thing I know, hes put together a $5,000 list of what I should really get. I get it, theyre commissioned but if youre going to upsell, at least make is reasonable

I never wanted to get a new bed for fear of getting it and not liking it. Then the runaround of switching and of course I didn’t want to spend a ton of money on one. I stopped in just looking to get a idea of what I want. Craig came up and asked the right questions then showed me a few beds in my price range and explained the difference between them. He helped me find what I needed not just what I thought I needed. Was in and out in about an hour very painless. If your not sure what you want or need go talk to Craig or any of the staff I’m sure they will get you on a bed that fits your needs!

If i had the option to give zero stars, I would. I will never use Mattress Firm again, especially in State College, and I will always recommend to others to stay away from them as well.This specific store provided the absolute worst service I have ever had as a customer in any sort of establishment. I have never even written a review before today, but I felt the need to write this after the nightmare of an experience I had with this store.On the day my mattress was supposed to be delivered, I received a call that it would not be ready for another four days. I slept on my couch those four nights. Next, when my mattress was delivered, it came 30 minutes before my scheduled two hour time zone, forcing me to rush home. When I got there, the delivery people gave me the incorrect bed frame which did not fit my mattress, and I did not know this until I had already put it together myself.When I called to ask for help, I was told I had to go pick up a new one myself. They did not even have the decency to drop it off themselves. On top of that, I had to take apart the whole bed frame they originally gave me and throw it in the dumpster myself as well.The employees did not even seem the least bit apologetic throughout the entire process - and yes, it was one hell of a process. Stay away from this place, for your own good.

I hate mattress shopping but I had a great experience here. Craig was the person I worked with and it was totally no pressure. I had never bought a mattress prior to last weekend. I was told by friends and family to prepare for high pressure sales and overselling. I did not experience any of that at Mattress Firm! Trent was amazing. He was patient and kind and I really felt like he wanted to help me find what I needed despite it obviously not being a big ticket sale (kids bunk bed mattresses). After patiently showing me different options and allowing me time to make a painfully slow decision, he generously gave us time to try out the more expensive beds as well and answer questions that were completely irrelevant to the sale, even from my curious 6yo. He gave my husband and I time to talk over our options and was available when we were ready. The other staff were also friendly and pleasant. I will go back to Mattress Firm on N Atherton again for any future mattress needs. Despite not haggling over price or pressuring me into a sale, Trent did give us a fair discount at the checkout, which I was honestly not expecting. I am so glad to be able to shop a brick and mortar store that employs community members (especially such kind ones). I hope this store is open and under Trents management for many years to come.

We first went to shop there right before COVID hit last year, and didnt go back because of COVID. We visited yesterday, and the salesman remembered us. We picked up pretty much where we had left off 11 months ago. The store was practicing all of the COVID safety measures - masks, social distancing, hand sanitizer at least two places that I saw. Salesman assured me that they havent changed their sanitizing procedures for mattresses and pillows because they already were sanitizing between customers; now they just document it better. I felt very comfortable shopping there.

Came in on a Sunday afternoon to look for a low cost twin mattress for our young son. Was nervous about sales pressure because we were not interested in a higher cost option as its the first bigboy bed for our son and he doesnt need anything fancy. Ive bought two mattresses at Mattress Firm in the past four months for my sons. We had shopped around at a couple other places in the area and online, and this place was equal or better in pricing for the mattresses we were looking at. The folks that work there (Cody in October and Trent today) are easy-going, friendly, and dont screw around, they tell you what they can give you the mattress for upfront. In both experiences Ive been in and out in about 15 minutes, having tried several mattresses and gotten a good price for the quality. Plus, they will help load or tie the mattress on to the car for you, which is a plus. Highly recommend checking here if youre looking for a new mattress.
