My husband and I will never purchase anything from Kay Jewelers in State College ever again! My husband went into the store in January to order a mothers ring for my birthday. He placed the custom order 3 weeks before my birthday with the store manager. The store manager told my husband she would call and let him know when the order would be ready once she completed the order online. She never called so my husband stopped in. She forgot to order it! Then told my husband it would not arrive in time for my birthday and didnt even apologize or try to make it right! He decided that if it was going to be late anyway he would order online and have it delivered to our home so she didnt get credit for the order. Once it arrived (a week after my birthday) I had to go into the store because it was the wrong size. I complained to the associate about the poor service my husband received and she was very apologetic. The store manager came over and was very rude responding with whatever. Both the associate and the manager assured me I would be called once my replacement ring had arrived. Since it had been more than 2 weeks, I decided to call the store to check the status last night only to be informed that it had been at the store for awhile and that they had no way to contact me because it was a web order. Seriously!! Today I went in and spoke to the manager about the poor service we received for this entire process. I explained how frustrated my husband and I were and that he never wanted to shop at this location ever again. Her exact response was once again Whatever. What manager responds this way to an unsatisfied customer? I am done with Kay Jewelers in State College unless they get rid of this manager! I will continue to spread our story and encourage my friends and family to go elsewhere.

Horrible place to shop. Would never do business there again. Manager was horrible and felt we were pulling teeth to look at rings and nothing but a bother. Had issue with diamonds falling out and finally just returned. Paid mostly cash so that had to be refunded with a check.....4 days they say to mail. 10 days later and still waiting. Called store for help, they didnt want to help. Said info was on return receipt. NO, NO, ITS NOT! STAY AWAY, THE WORST TREATMENT WE EVER RECEIVED. Still no refund check.

My fiance bought a necklace for me there. Beautiful necklace but when it was time for the annual diamond check and cleaning she NEVER checked to see if there were any diamonds lose and cleaned it for at most 5 seconds. The girl was down right nasty to him and I. What really took the cake when we went back to get the chain fixed and it cleaned they didnt have a new chain in stock. Ok Im sorry but what jewelry store doesnt have a replacement chain in stock. They had to send it out and get the chain fixed taking over 2 weeks. I told my fiance to never buy anything from them again. Go to Kranichs where to people treat you with respect and clean and inspect your jewelry CORRECTLY!!!

A couple of the employees seem to actually care but in general not a welcoming experience. Have been purchasing jewelry there for a few years and Im done. My husband got me a necklace and ring for Christmas and the necklace chain broke within 6 weeks and the diamond fell out. It was a diamond in motion necklace. Also got a rings which had to be sized, got it back 3 weeks later and had it for 4 weeks and lost 2 of the diamonds out of it and they have had it now for another 3 weeks. Ive had issues with diamonds falling out of my earrings that have come from there, now a necklace and a ring. That isnt the store associates fault but for a national retailer to consistently sell product that is so poorly made is unacceptable. I will be taking our business elsewhere from now on. Its too bad because it was convenient but not worth the hassle.

Bought merchandise from my stand in the mall, acting like she was doing me a favor... then made me sign up for a Kays credit card. Wouldnt take NO as an answer!!! I understand they have to make credit application goals but they pull tooth and nail until you give in...not okay!!!

My finance recently bought my engagement ring from this store. It was far too big so I had to drop it off to be sized the same day we got engaged. They gave me a promise date of 2 weeks. I got a call on the 2 week mark that my ring had to be sent back because it was missing 3 of the smaller diamonds on the band. My question to Kay Jewelers is how can you be so careless when customers spend the amount of money they do at your stores. The merchandise should be quality control checked before leaving the repair facilities. And if they are, how do 3 diamonds get knocked out in transit? Again, are you that careless of a company? I am highly dissatisfied with Kay Jewelers right now.

Horrible experience they are untruthful and should be ashamed of themselves I learned a hard lesson and know to never deal with any Kay jewelers store again. I highly encourage you to go to any jewelry store then Kays. Never deal with Kays at least for my experience they have lost me as a customer forever they are rude and unprofessional bought a ring in state college for my fiancé at the time they told me for every 300 hundred dollars I spend I will receive 100 dollars in Santa cash to come back and buy our bands. I talked to Brandi Ext 1223, her boss James Ext. 1254 and his boss Farha 5655 of course theirs nothing they can do the women in state college flat out miss led me please if shopping for a ring or a piece of jewelry think of this post and walk right on by. Watch out for Bryn and Nancy in the state college store!!!!

Awful, go anywhere else! They lie to you, screw up and try to fix things behind your back and the staff is clueless. Also, they dont have a jewler on site so expect 2-3 weeks for anything that needs sent out.

My son bought his fiancee an engagement ring and my son in law bought my daughter an engagement ring from Kaye Jewlers BOTH rings lost diamonds not once but twice after the diamond was replaced fell out a second time

I walked in on Black Friday to look at rings for my girlfriend and the manager was absolutely horrible like she didnt even explain anything to me when I was looking at rings and by she didnt say anything she literally said nothing she just stood there with a stank look on her voice I had no idea what I was looking at and their prices were insane do not go there it is the worst
