Highly recommend it! As a second-year student in Penn State. I really Recommend the service of this U-Haul company. I went to here last Saturday and I want to rent a 10 feet U-Haul truck, however, because of the shortage issue, they gave me a free upgrade to a 20 feet U-Haul. Besides, the service and the returning the inspection port as well as the returning part are quite smooth and I really think it’s a very efficient way for moving.What’s more, I add the gas in the sheetz gas station ⛽️ near the U-Haul company before returning it.

Reservation: I had to physically drive to the Benner Pike location to make the reservation after trying to place a reservation over the phone. This location does not answer the phone and after being on hold for 5-10 minutes twice, the call was disconnected. This is extremely inconvenient and not the first time Ive had to do this at the Benner Pike location.Pick Up: The truck was damaged when I arrived to pick it up: a busted light on the front dumper, some damage to the rear, it also faintly smelled like smoke.Return: I returned the truck after hours and after trying for ten minutes to follow the self drop off instructions without success, I had no choice but to drop off the keys and leave without properly dropping the rental off. The website kept rebooting, not accepted my attached photos of the vehicle, gas, and mileage to prove my proper use, which makes me feel very insecure about possible blame for something I did not do. For example, because the website was not working I could not legitimately show I did put gas into the tank or damage the vehicle... This is unfair.This place is the most reliably unreliable businesses Ive ever worked with. Customer service, friendly-ness, and communication is so poor. They would certainly be out of business Id they didnt have a monopoly on the market.

Very easy drop off. Both workers, including Nicole, were very nice and helpful. I would rent uhaul from this location again.

I recently had an issue with this location, which was attempting to charge me for a service that was cancelled. I had used them in the past and the service has generally been excellent and professional (unlike another location in State College). I assume the decline in their service may be due to the impact the pandemic has had on smaller businesses throughout the country, so I have cut them some slack. While they took longer than I would have liked to address my issue, once they became aware of it, the manager there handled it quickly and professionally, so I have increased my rating from a 1/5 to a 4/5.I would still recommend them over the other State College location on Atherton, which has become not only unprofessional and rude, but outright hostile, shamefully biased and unwelcoming (just read their Google reviews, which I can confirm from recent interactions there).

My experience with U-Haul on Benner Pike State College PA was a nightmare. I rented a truck for 48 hours over the phone. The verbal confirmation on this call was for 48 hours. When I picked up the truck they said I had to return it by 7AM the very next day. I pointed out that I rented the truck for 2 days not one but they stated that a 24 hour rental is what was entered and refused to correct it. Then they charged a late fee even though the truck was returned 3 hours early. They then said the late fee stays because I didnt go online to complete the contract when the truck was returned. Then to add insult to injury they charged me a cleaning fee to clean up mud on the floor created by their own parking lot. I will NEVER use U-Haul again

Just curious as to why an employee of yours saw it fit to illegally attain my wifes number from a transaction he didnt handle, and start messaging her at nearly 12 at night? I would take this up with someone at the store, but I could barely even get put on hold without people hanging up the phones

I recently used this location and was received additional gas payments even though I returned the truck with a little over a 1/4 tank. they charged me somehow for being under 1/4 tank. I recieved it at 3/8 of a tank. the entire trip to and from only equaled 16 miles so even mathmatically it makes no sense thats not even a gallon of gas. I disputed and have gotten no response. SMH

Recently used this U-Haul store to do a partial move from our rental to our new home and the staff was phenomenal. Very helpful and courteous. Using them again since our move is on-going through the next weekend or two. Highly recommend them.

Always high quality customer service and willingness to provide support. Every time Ive used U-Haul of State College the owner has been kind and friendly. Ive used these folks 3 times now and I keep coming back because of the interactions and how they help me out.

Rented a uhaul from benner pike for 80 miles and was charged $170 for a few hours lol what a rip off. They charged me fees for everything you could possibly think of and the uhaul power steering was totally shot, I could barely drive the vehicle. What a terrible business I will never go back.

Our experience with this U-Haul branch was great. Staff were really helpful and friendly, especially Dan who was our main contact person. We rented a truck for moving from State College to Ontario, Canada. We had to reschedule twice due to the severe weather conditions and they really cooperated to accommodate for the unexpected changes. Another plus point was that whenever we asked for their suggestions we got detailed professional opinions that really helped us with picking up among several available options. All in all, it was a great experience and we received wonderful customer support.

This is a great place. I put my stuff here over the summer time and they didn’t charge me any money. Those are some great people are running this place

I have used this location over N. Atherton because of the better service. However, they have now gone to an answering service during business hours. I called at 8AM to ask a question about my rental, (could I leave my car there). The answering service was polite, but had no idea. They took my call back information, and said somebody would call me back. Really?

We had rented the wrong size truck and thankfully this uHaul had the size we needed!! It all worked out wonderfully. A very easy process!

I was served immediately upon entering the business. They quickly found my reservation, pulled my vehicle up and had me on my way within about 10 minutes. The staff was very courteous and they handled our transaction with expediency and professionalism.

Great customer service. Gentleman was willing to stay late just for us to swap vehicles and come back to pick up a trailor. Had great insight which was very helpful to my choice of transportation.

The absolute worst experience Ive ever had with a company. I made a reservation for a truck over a week before I had to pick it up. When I came to pick it up I was informed that my reservation had been cancelled without me even being informed. Not only was my reservation cancelled, but the employees showed absolutely zero sympathy, and issued no apology whatsoever. I kept showing my email confirmation, and was continually met with blank stares and complete apathy. I will never use this U-haul location, and probably U-haul in general. Do yourself a favor and just avoid this place at all costs.

This has become my preferred location for trailer rentals after a couple of very positive experiences (and less than ideal service at another local U-Haul outlet). Have to give a shout-out to Tanner Dishong for totally courteous, prompt, and professional handling of transactions, including troubleshooting a minor problem with my hitch setup.

I moved to Seattle from SC and used a single U-Box. It arrived earlier than the guaranteed delivery and employees at this place helped us during our first part of the move. Would use U-Box again.

I normally loath the thought of renting from Uhaul, but....these guys at Benner Pike were outstanding. One of the managers went above and beyond to help me hook up a trailer I rented from them. Id definitely go back again.

We picked up a truck last week. Was given the keys but nobody knew where the actual truck was, sent us across the street or said maybe in front of the building. It was finally found out back. We were in such a hurry once dropped the truck off that we forgot items in the front seat. It’s been 3 days and we have yet to hear back from uhaul as to if our items were found or not. Communication is horrible, and nobody at this location was helpful at all. We will more than likely try the other location before using this location ever again.

We have purchased boxes and moving supplies here for years, and we rented trucks from them twice. The service has always been excellent, billing accurate, and promises kept. We will continue to do business at this location.

Equipment was in good working order.only one representative working on a Saturday morning. My appointment was over an hour late.Id go to one of the other UHaul locations.
