I never had an eye issue until I was involved in an accident. From the very first visit and so forth, Dr. Cain exceeded his care. Him and his staff was there helping me all the way. He made it possible for me to see out of my right eye until I was able to have surgery. After surgery, they were there helping me get comfortable with my sight I now have after, after the accident and surgery. I could never thank Dr. Cain and his staff for all they did.-Melissa Frank

Very poor customer service! Over a month to get a pair of glasses with no updates provided. On the promise date, they couldnt tell us when the glasses would be here. No one ever answers the phone at the Statesboro location, have to call corporate to talk to anyone and with that, they still couldnt provide an update.UPDATE! Only after complaining online were we able to get a reply. My daughter had called a couple of times prior to the promise date asking for a status, the person on the phone wouldnt check and only stated its not the promise date. Then on the promise date, after many phone calls and posts online, did we find out the frames were back ordered. Good customer service isnt having to spend hours to find out a status.They let her come in and pick out different frames because they had the lenses in and had been waiting on the frames. Had the person who answered the phone taken the time to look, this all could have been avoided. But again, to have to call numerous times and numbers and posts just to get to this point, is very disappointing.They did provide an $80 credit.

My husband and I went to our appointment in April and he still has not received his contacts. After calling and speaking to two different people yesterday, I was advised that we will need to pay an additional $120 on top of the the appointment copay and contact lenses copay we paid back in April.

I’ve been calling for 5 days to get my son an appointment because he had tried for 3 days. He’s at work and can’t stay on the phone. All I get is recorded messages explaining how back up they are due to COVID-19 and to make an appointment on the website. This can’t wait til March!! I’ve left my number twice, Friday and today, no call back!! I don’t want to go elsewhere, but he needs to see someone now!!!

I pick up my glasses April 15th for the second time and they are still not right. Today was the first time I wore them all day April 28th night time came eyes hurt then a headache started my glasses was not lightly tented like I ask In forty years wearing glasses never had this much problem getting a pair glasses.

I took my grandaughter last week and the wait was kinda long but thats understandable. I just wanted to the services overall was good but this one lady was very rude are told my grandaughter if she coulnt read the letter she must be dumber then a bat. SHES ONLY a kid! so when she starts crying she goes on to say if she cant stop crying to leve.... but overall mrs.diane b was outstanding. great with my grandaughter. my grandaughter absoultly adored her...... The woman at the counter was also very lovely

Will not go back to this location!!! My daughter and I have been a patient with the facility as a whole for years. We recently went to this location and it is by far the worst I have experienced..my daughter and I ordered some new frames weeks ago and still her order has not arrived and all I am being told is it’s in “process”. Furthermore when I call to ask if my frames can be mailed (which I was given the option to previously do because we are not close to the location) I was advised I would have to pay ..I was never told that information when a. I ordered our frames or b. I called to check the status of my daughters order. This is ridiculous, we are now almost 3 weeks in on waiting for her frames and here I am now having to be inconvenienced with taking a drive to pick up our glasses. I sure hope my location re opens soon because this will be one patient that does not return!

Its a really lovely facility with great clean procedures for all patients. Everybody was warm from the moment I walked in through the door. I did have to wait two hours before getting my eyes checked but one of the managers contacted me immediately and took great care of me. I appreciate their efforts great place to go.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICEI went online & made an appointment at the Statesboro location. Nothing was available for almost 5 weeks.... I booked the appointment, Wednesday 2/3/2021 at 9:30am. Took off work the day of my appointment, was getting ready to go there but at 8:15am I get a call from them saying my appointment has been cancelled and they will call me back within 2 hours to reschedule. Today is 1 week (2/10/2021) NO ONE has called to reschedule, What kind of customer service is this ???? So I call them continuously.... finally get someone on the phone, I explain what happened, that they called the day of my appt and cancelled it & no one called to reschedule... The person I spoke with was professional enough but NEVER apologized for NO ONE calling back to reschedule & acted like I had cancelled the appt. which I DID NOT. Then tells me the next appt available is 3/31/2021 !!!! 7 WEEKS, after I waited 5 weeks to begin with, then THEY cancel my appt, dont call back like they said they would to reschedule and dont seem to care. This is terrible costumer service.

I first attempted to get an appointment in November 2020 after my daughters got a hold of my glasses and broke them. My Information was taken down and I was told that someone else would call me back to schedule a eye exam with me. I never received a call back so on December 7th I call again and realized ( after the recorder said it) that I could book and appointment online so I hung up and proceeded to do so. I was going to have to wait an entire month but I was fine with that as long as I could get a eye appointment. I get a email yesterday that my appointment was canceled because it is “unavailable “ days away from my actual appointment that’s supposed to be on the 12th and you mean to tell me no one could have contacted me sooner ? I literally waited a whole month for nothing and trying to call back and reschedule is pointless because nobody answers the fuxking phone ! Just sat on the phone for 30mins just for the line to go dead and called back and waited another 20 minutes before I decided to give up. This is absolutely ridiculous and based off of this experience with just trying to get a dam appointment I don’t even want to do business here at all. First impressions are everything and they are absolutely horrible at them

Anna even discovered that the reason Im struggling with my new glasses is due to my measurements and was able to remedy my issue. Great customer service goes a long way! I had scheduled my fiances appointment for am exam and glasses over a month ago for 8/3/2020 at 3:30. I got her there at 2:40 and she went in. She was told that they scheduled her for an office visit (what is that) anyway she waited until 5:30 and was so mad she left. They never apologized to her for their mistake. So now she has no glasses and she missed a day of work. This is unacceptable from a well known establishment. I went and got my exam and glasses 4 months ago and had excellent service. I do not know what happened to this place but we will never go there again it cost us to much money to not even get seen. I recommend any other place but here.

This facility rescheduled me almost 4 times within 6 months & then told me that I would have to wait another 5 months just to be seen as if I have not already been waiting to get seen. They do not call to cancel your appointment until a couple of days before it. I will never come back & neither will anyone in my family!!!!!!!!

Contact lenses & glasses were ordered and paid for 2 weeks ago with a promise date of today. Glasses were ready a week ago/early; & was told contacts should be arriving later that same day. When no call was received by the promise date (1 week later), 2 calls (6 hours apart) were made. I was finally told on the second call that contacts were never ordered, but after the first call they placed the order, just never called me back. However, I was told they were being shipped to our old address- which had already been updated at our eye exam date.

I took my 9 year old daughter for her first eye exam on the recommendation of her pediatrician. Myeyedr was the only place in town that took her insurance. I scheduled her to see one doctor but we ended up seeing Dr. Jones, which was unexpected, but a great experience. He was very knowledgeable and was great with my daughter. He explained things to myself and my daughter and spoke to her like a person, not just some child he was examining. I was a little weary of the office, because of the look of the carpet, but looks can be deceiving. We had a great experience and I recommend Dr. Jones and the rest of the staff for anyone needing an eye exam and glasses. The lady that took us back was in a wheelchair due to a hurt foot, but she was able to do her job with no complaints and with a great attitude. My only recommendation for improvement is a little remodeling to spruce the place up some. Thanks Dr. Jones and staff for a great first exam experience for my daughter.

Went for an eye exam. The staff and doctor were great. I picked out glasses and frames. I was told it would take two weeks. Picked up my progressives. I could see far but nothing close up. Took them back and was told the frame was the problem. The lenses would have to be remade. Said I would have them back in 7 days. I called after 7 days and they couldnt find my glasses. Finally they find them and say it will be 30 days before I get them back. It didnt take that long to make them in the beginning. The girl on the phone caught an attitude when I asked why so long? She said do you want me to put the order through? I asked are you going to give me a total refund and keep your glasses? She said she was going to put it through and it might not take 30 days but thats what they have to say. Im so disappointed with this experience. Thought I was getting the same service I did when it was Lords.

Was greeted when walked in. Appointment was at 1:15. I didn’t get to see the doctor until after 2:30. Before that, I was asked to go back to the lobby after being called back waited around 20 minutes to be called back again. That lady, wish I got her name, was very nice and explained what was going on. Took me to a room, where I waited. The doctor was awkward and made me feel uncomfortable. Could be because I was annoyed..I could be reading into it too much. But he did a good job. I will have to wait and see how the glasses come out in two to three weeks to see if I will give them another shot.

This place was the best when it was Lord Eye Center nut when they joined My Eye Doctor they completely suck. With Lord it would take 4-7 days to get glasses with my eye doc it took 2 weeks. Staff was better with Lord too.Lord made a big mistake when they joined My Eye Doctor. Last time I ever go here.

Was not satisfied at the rincon branch so tried statesboro. After several years of going there, they got my glasses correct..ONE TIME. Last year it took 4 months to finally get something I could see through. They are still not correct, and I have to use magnifying glass to read, with the glasses on. $300 for last year. Just waiting for my insurance to complete the year then going to Walmart. At least there its cheaper to get glasses that partially work

While this wasn’t my first experience with MyEyeDr, it has been my best so far. The office in Statesboro was fast, informative and knowledgeable. They were able to get me the best deal available to get both glasses and contacts during my visit. The process for getting glasses has changed and took a little longer than I cared for, but I was so happy to get new glasses after six years!

Very poor experience. They dont greet you when you come in and you dont know where to go or what to do. They told me my glasses would be ready one day by a certain time and would call me. They didnt, and I didnt get them until 2 days later, after explaining several times what I was doing there. I thought they lost my glasses the way they were so uncertain of what to tell me. Ive only been there twice, the first time wasnt great but it wasnt that bad. This second time reassured me to never come back again.

I’ve been going to this place for many years, as it was the only eye care center that was covered by our insurance. Years ago, when it was Lords eye center the optometrist was very rude with me and they told me I had a stigmatism in my eye, we switched to another local eye care center after that and they said that my eye was perfectly fine. As time passed, lords eye center became my eye doctor so we switched back, thinking that the service would be better since the owners and doctors changed but boy were we wrong. I made an appointment because I couldn’t see out of my left eye. During the appointment the doctor couldn’t get my vision clear and didn’t know what was wrong, they guessed and gave me some contacts with a different perscription in them and said to try them and come back in a couple days. They did this multiple times and I still couldn’t see, we eventually got them to just get me a stronger prescription and I could finally see for a couple months. When my vision started blurring again, we decided to go back to the other local eye center to see if they could figure out what was wrong. Turns out, my contacts had been rubbing my eyes like sandpaper even though I never slept in them. In a couple hours they had found out what was wrong and gave me prescriptions for my eye and a follow up appointment to check on my eye. They said if my eye would have gone on untreated I could have lost my vision in that eye. Because it took so long for us to visit a eye doctor that actually knew what they were doing, my eye is damaged enough to where I now have to have surgery on it. So if you go to My Eye Doctor, make sure it’s just for simple checkups and not anything that a doctor would have to actually try to figure out.

Worst customer service ever. Ordered a set of frames on 12/5. (Mine were broken). Was told they had to order them and it would be a couple of days. Five days later I called to check on them and was to be called back when they new something. Was never called back. Called again that evening and they apologized and said to give them two more days. Gave them three days and called again, still no frames. Finally got text on Saturday 12/15 my frames were in. Office closed until Monday. Couple of days = 12 actual days. Each time I talked to them I asked to be phoned ASAP because I really needed my glasses back. Never received a call. Needless to say, I do not recommend!

11/2019 Horrible lab and quality of work. After waiting 2 weeks for replacement trifocal lenses, they were not made properly. One trifocal was higher than the other and the lens was not in the frame properly. Now having to wait another two weeks. 11/2020 waited 4 weeks for new frames and lens again not made properly and defective. Having to wait another 4 weeks for the remake.

I dont know what has changed with my eye Dr. Ive been going to my eye Dr. for years, back when they were Lords. My eye glasses use to take 4 to 7 days to get. Sometimes they would come in a day earlier then expected. Im two weeks out and no glasses. I called Sept 12, 2018 and my glasses were not ready but was told that Sept 13th was the very latest they would be ready. I call on the 13th and was told that they are not ready and will be ready tomorrow. Im not holding my breath. And yes, they dont ask you what you want on your glasses. They pick everything out and tell you the price. $400 to over $500 in glasses every year is ridiculous. I spend more on my eyes than at the dentist office every year. I will change places for glasses next year!

Picked out glasses for my son that were on display; we got them about a week later & another week went by, he was complaining of headaches & said they were blurry. Being 8 years old, I just assumed he didnt want to wear them & insisted that he did. He came home from school one day & vomited, saying the glasses were making him dizzy. He is near-sighted like me, so I compared ours & his were for far-sighted people! I called immediately the next day to inform them they ordered the wrong glasses & scheduled an appointment. He was seen the following Monday after school. They proceeded to tell me they were readers glasses, that I must have somehow gotten them mixed up with someone in our home & that they didnt even sell those frames! O.o (No one in our house wears readers glasses!) I insisted they looked just like the frames we had picked out & they basically called me a liar! I was livid, but tried to keep my composure & they did at least agree to order the correct prescription, and I asked if they could mail them to me, since we live over 45 minutes away. They agreed. Fast-forward, it has been over a week & they are not scheduled to arrive until the end of this week at their office, so now I will have to wait for them to get them & then mail them to me! Why couldnt they have mailed them directly to me!? So it will be at least 2 weeks until my son is able to see clearly... not to mention one of the doctors is rude & the other we saw has no personality. I will definately be taking mine & my 3 childrens business elsewhere! :/

I have purchased numerous glasses from the Statesboro MyEyeDr and was a long-time Lord Eye Center patient with Whit and Lurue. A very sound decision was made by the Lords to hand their eyeglasses business over to MyEyeDr. I am quite pleased with the level of care and attention I get from everyone, from the front desk to the lab personnel to the doctors. Dr. Cain is such a patient and good optometrist and I certainly trust him with not only my vision, but also my eye health. The manager of this MyEyeDr, Dianne Hooks, is the quintessential Southern lady calling everyone she meets Baby or Honey. She is knowledgeable from many years in Optometry and is herself a licensed Optician. She very capably manages an extremely busy and productive location giving all patients at all levels the same quality and professional service. Prices here range from the very affordable to the exorbitant, so there is something for everyone. My choices are usually from the Ray-Ban or Costa collections which are vast. I strongly and highly recommend that if you want the absolute best in eye care, you must consider using MyEyeDr of Statesboro!

Horrible experience. My son is 4, so we had to drive almost an hour to this one for him to be seen. He has autism, they are not equipped for children with autism. He had a meltdown out of fear, they were unhelpful and showed very little compassion. Suggesting a ‘specialist’ optometrist, which made me feel like they didn’t want to bother. I ended up walking out before he could have an exam done because he was so upset. I called after returning home to reschedule, and was suggested with a condescending tone again ‘why don’t you try a specialist?’ Which tells me that if you have a child with autism, avoid them because they are not well equipped and have little to no compassion for being able to handle patients who do.

Getting into the room for the actual appointment didnt take very long, and the front desk workers were very pleasant. My actual appointment with Dr. Caine was incredibly awkward, but he made sure I got my right prescription for my glasses. When I was actually picking out my glasses, the worker who had helped me didnt ask me if I wanted these extra things with my glasses and ended up paying an astronomical amount, which I didnt realize until I went home and looked at my receipt with my mother.EDIT: ITS BEEN OVER TWO WEEKS FOR ME TO GET MY GLASSES AND I CALLED AND GOT THREE DIFFERENT ANSWERS OF WHEN MY $200+ GLASSES WILL GET HERE.

The Doctor was great but I took 2 of my children to get glasses at the same time. My sons glasses were ready in a week but my daughters glasses are still not ready and it has been 11 days now. When I called again, I was told that the new estimated date for them to arrive is the 15th. Her old pair is broken, and now she has to wait even longer. I will be getting frames from a different location next time.

I scratched my eye and went to see a doctor for drops to prevent infection and help with healing (I am a contact wearer). I heard the doctor ask the nurse, She just cut her eye? before opening the door - it was not a welcoming feeling and the interaction with the doctor was very awkward (he spent 10 minutes trying to remove an eyelash, which he thought was the cause of the irritation, but ended up giving up and telling me to come back in a week if my eye wasnt better). I would not return and I would suggest visiting an office with a more personable doctor.

We recently moved to the area and Lord Eye Center was included in our vision insurance network. Because they have an on-site laboratory, we thought that it would mean that they knew what they were doing and would provide a great level of service. Boy! Were we ever wrong! The actual eye doctors were great. If we had not been jerked around so much, we would have considered going there again for the exam only. However, we are so disgusted by their behavior that we will never go there again (even though I bought the supplemental lens insurance I will not even go there to redeem) and warn anyone considering their frame shop. The only plus was Julia who was always friendly whenever we encountered her.It all started a month ago when we went in for an exam and new glasses. Again, the eye doctors were fine. The frame selection process was fine as well. The problems started when it was time to pick up the finished product. Our frames were finished at different times. When my husbands arrived, he noticed that the lenses were scratched right away in the store. After some initial trouble of convincing the employee until another employee looked at them, they agreed to remake the lenses. After calling for a couple of weeks to find out the status of the replacement lenses, we were finally told that they had arrived and to schedule an appointment so that they could cut the lenses to fit the frame. After again taking a half day off work, driving 30 miles to their office and waiting an hour for cutting, my husband again pointed out that they were scratched. This time a different lady helped us and she saw the scratches right away as well. They again said that they would have them redone. I am generally not very perceptive to imperfections so I did not look very closely at my own lenses when they arrived. While in the store I had my husband look at mine and sure enough they were scratched as well (my lenses were premium anti-reflective, scratch resistant polycarbonate lenses). Well, today we received a call that the lenses were ready. My husband again took a half day off work, drove 30mi to Statesboro, and waited an hour for cutting only to discover that they were scratched again. This time, however, we even inspected the lenses prior to cutting to make sure that we werent wasting our time. They were fine prior to cutting. The problem stemmed from the cutting process in house, and all their lenses are cut in house. That means every single person that purchases lenses from them is walking around with scratched lenses! The most appalling thing, however, is that they came back and said that it is the best they could do and that they were not going to try again. No mention of oh, it seems like our lab equipment has a problem, I am sorry....we will have a technician out to resolve the problem/recalibrate the machine...and give you a call once the issue is resolved to try again...... No! It was, that is the best we can do and we arent trying again! Now, we have to wait for them to refund our money and take the claim off our vision insurance so that my husband can go elsewhere. They made it seem like we were being unreasonable and difficult. There were clear scratches seen by multiple people in the same area of the lens each time. This means that they have a problem in house but yet they choose to ignore it because most people wont catch it. When you are paying nearly $200 out of pocket on top of what insurance covers, you want a product free from defects when you walk out of the store! We will never be back and encourage everyone to look elsewhere.
